Ann Wilson has to be one of the top 5 greatest singers of the last 50+ years, and she is even better now than she was 33+ years ago when I heard Heart for the first time.
I was thinking the same exact thing when it ended.. It needs 2 or 3 more verses and a few more choruses. Throw in a guitar solo or two. 10 minutes sounds good to me.
i was born in the 70's(1974) i know i have heard this song before..i love heart and i miss those days..this song is like a dream..thank you heart.my 11 yr old son loves these songs too..timeless..
when I returned from the bush, Vietnam, this was the music which saved me from running amok. thank you ann and Nancy. I love you. thank you for saving my life and my soul.
These ladies have always been some bad azz chicks. Luckily, my father was a very big Heart fan. I remember when he got the Dog&Butterfly album. I was all of 9 years old and fell in love with the cover!! Dad motions me to sit next to him and listen to the whole album. I was mesmerized and was hooked. At the end, he says “so what’d ya think Coleen?” All I could say was play it again dad!!! I can feel it just like it was yesterday.
I was a teenager in the 1970's. I wish I realized how great music was back then when I was young and how thankful I should have been. The music of that time was just so damn awesome. Heart was part of that. Thanks Ann and Nancy!
It never ceases to amaze me. As a teenager and then beyond, I owned all their albums, but I had never seen them in concert. It hasn't been until I had watched them on TH-cam that I was able to recognize and appreciate the beautiful, lilting, angelic voice that intermingled with Anne's powerhouse was provided by Nancy. Everyone knows that Anne can out sing everyone, but Nancy is right up there with her. Anne is the lead singer but the Wilson duo perform OUTSTANDING duets. I am certain that the real Heart aficionados, the folks with actual musical wherewithal, who recognized this from the beginning, are likely scratching their collective heads wondering where the hades was this guy's ears. Rightfully so! However, in my defense, I did catch up, remedied that egregious deficiency and joined the righteous throng. Ha' mercy. 😘 And, this is just about her singing. 'Twas always obvious that Nancy has a special affinity with strings.
They just don't make music like this anymore. This takes me back to high school. Such a different world it was in the 70's, and the songs were pure bliss.💓
I was one of the lucky few who got to hear/watch/enjoy Heart at least once a month, at the Red Barn in Great Falls, Montana - BEFORE they became a global phenomenon! Those WERE the days! Heart is one of THE few bands that sounds better live than they do in a recorded session! Rock on ladies!
Must be DNA. Ann and Nancy Wilson harmonize in such an innocent raw pure way unique to them only. Ann is the best lead female vocalist of all time. Love the flute solo. Awesome performance - kimie
i miss my Aunt -- her favorite song - only person in my crazy alcoholic family who gave a shit about me -- once took me on a trip through the British Columbia mountains -- she was a good fellas
I love this song so much. I listened to the version on the original album today and it had a very “Carpenters” feel to it. The harmony and simplicity of the lyrics and Ann’s voice was so melodic like Karen Carpenter. But nevertheless Ann and Nancy will ALWAYS be my heroes. Girl power! Real music. Not having to sell their sexuality although they’re both sexy as hell in their own right!!!!!
What an awesome live performance of this song by one of my all-time favorite bands. Ann and Nancy are definitely the best female rock vocalists ever. And, they are still gorgeous. I saw them in Reno, NV a few years ago and they were better than ever!
Omg when I hear her singing this I just picture a beautiful girl riding on a sailbot in the morning with the rising sun making the ocean water sparkle.
The song Dog and Butterfly came up on my Facebook page and it reminded me of this beautiful song. I watched an older version of it first and was going to share it when this on came on on autopsy. How is it possible that this women's voice sounds even better and stronger? Nancy's harmonies are just ethereal.
Thanks for this great song by this kickass band. What talent ! ! & beauty ! ! ! Many women get better with age & these sisters prove that. You Tube should add a "love" button next to the like choice for when we love a song. I didn't get to see them, but a friends wife saw their concert two years ago & said they are still awesome live. I remember listening each week as their hits shot up the charts on Casey Kasem's American Top 40 Radio Show as I drove back to the Army post each weekend.
my heart swells and milks my tear ducts for some reason ....beautiful, but I cannot hide the emotive effect this song has on me...I do sorely miss that era
Blown. Away. Every time I listen to Ann & Nancy....hail to the QUEENS of rock & roll! Their naturally beautiful, ethereal voices ✨️ give me chills every time. Live or recorded!! Now who else can you say THAT about? Pure respect & gratitude for how they've touched my life since album #1. ❤️
I think Ann Wilson is perhaps the best singer of our era. Nancy's harmonies are right up there too, like Dog & Butterfly with the Major 7th harmony... that makes me break down in tears, and I'm a straight man. Not to mention Nancy's incredible fingerpicking... After all these years they can still do it in the same key too... wow.
No glam, no costume changes, no light show... Just pure talent.. Awsome...
And no shoes....at least for Ann.
Killer opening riff from Nancy Wilson.
Ann Wilson has to be one of the top 5 greatest singers of the last 50+ years, and she is even better now than she was 33+ years ago when I heard Heart for the first time.
Absolutely ❤❤❤ I remember when this album came out....I listened to it for hours and hours....still do. ❤

I'm 62 and I had there albums on 8 track in high school.
Ha I’m 61 too!
I'm 153 you young whippersnappers don't know nuthin'
One of the most haunting and beautiful songs that is simply too damn short.
hungfao I agree, my favorite but way to short!
I was thinking the same exact thing when it ended.. It needs 2 or 3 more verses and a few more choruses. Throw in a guitar solo or two. 10 minutes sounds good to me.
This song needs 1 more verse.
Less is more
meaning of life, life is short, seize it now instead of hoping for more
i was born in the 70's(1974) i know i have heard this song before..i love heart and i miss those days..this song is like a dream..thank you heart.my 11 yr old son loves these songs too..timeless..
70's and 80's were the 2 best eras for music. Music died starting in the 90's and never came back.
I will second that! I was born in 63 and we had the baddest ass music ever to grow up with.
when I returned from the bush, Vietnam, this was the music which saved me from running amok. thank you ann and Nancy. I love you. thank you for saving my life and my soul.

2024. I'm listening. Love Heart and this song. Brings back so many memories. 70 now and wish I were back in the 70 and 80's. Wish I were young again.
Don’t we all . Like Eddy Money said “ I wanna go back again and do it all over, but I can’t go back I know “
I was a teenager in the 1970's. I wish I realized how great music was back then when I was young and how thankful I should have been. The music of that time was just so damn awesome. Heart was part of that. Thanks Ann and Nancy!
Best era of music ❤
Graduated high school in 1974… wow those were the days.
Did Yall hear that harmony? That is some of the finest artestry there is. Ann and Nancy
continue to amaze.
They did a most beautiful arrangement for this.
And look at that Martin Nancy picks.
All Heart! ♥️♥️
Amen! Hot hot hot, and the song was incredible too!!!

This speaks for itself . The most talented ladies in the history of rock .
Gosh how I miss the 70's.
Man, Ann and Nancy still harmonize perfectly, even after all these years.
Agree 100%
They just don't make music like this anymore. This takes me back to high school. Such a different world it was in the 70's, and the songs were pure bliss.💓
just listened to the 1976 video ... it gets better and better... love ❤ ... love the song in 2020
I was one of the lucky few who got to hear/watch/enjoy Heart at least once a month, at the Red Barn in Great Falls, Montana - BEFORE they became a global phenomenon! Those WERE the days! Heart is one of THE few bands that sounds better live than they do in a recorded session! Rock on ladies!
I used to work at the Red Barn in Michigan
Titusville FL. 1:14 am. Maybe Tull next.
Wow, seriously?!!!
Just watched the clip of this song in the 70s, nearly 30 years later they still sounded as good what a talent these 2 ladies are.
I’m listening 2024
First CD I bought when got car with CD player in 1976 -- happy bicentennial year🕊such a sweet haunting song, they should have made it 25 min longer
Must be DNA. Ann and Nancy Wilson harmonize in such an innocent raw pure way unique to them only. Ann is the best lead female vocalist of all time. Love the flute solo. Awesome performance - kimie
Ann and Nancy are seasoned musicians.....these girls EARNED their to way into rock history.
Yes they did!!!! They paved the way for other women performers
And into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
Such the petite composition. Leaves me with a lump in my throat every time, and wishing we were young again.
Privileged to live when I did.
One of the finest song by "HEART" it brings so many memories of youth.
There's something richer and deeper about them now. It's awesome to see them like this.
i miss my Aunt -- her favorite song - only person in my crazy alcoholic family who gave a shit about me -- once took me on a trip through the British Columbia mountains -- she was a good fellas
Trev Mac wish you all the best
You're Aunt had great taste. Hope you're well.
So beautiful. Those harmonies have always evoked the distant sound of a ship's horn. Ann's flute playing is magical
Just so beautiful voice my god she is truly gifted.
I love this song so much. I listened to the version on the original album today and it had a very “Carpenters” feel to it. played this for my at our wedding as a surprise
wife, Annie
How many times I have listened to this, and yet every time is like the first. It takes me to another place.
Nancy never makes a mistake on the guitar, it is just so beautiful to listen to her.
This song always makes me feel good.
This song is gorgeous, just like it's creators. 💓
Those sisters have SOOO much talent - always blown away every time I see them perform.
The flute is so awesome and the voices of these sisters is just perfection and makes me smile and melt away!! Heart forever!!!!
The song Dog and Butterfly came up on my Facebook page and it reminded me of this beautiful song. I watched an older version of it first and was going to share it when this on came on on autopsy. this song so beautifully demonstrates Ann's amazing vocal range. It is a truly haunting song. It has been a favorites forever.
She has got to be a the QUEEN OF ROCK AND ROLL. That voice Is hypnotizing
The girls' voices together is just incredible. Man, I wish they made songs like this today!
Truly Amazing performance. Ann and Nancy have gotten even better in age. Thank you so much Heart, you are the soundtrack of my generation!
Stunning knockout!! How could these two actually get better all those years!?? Wow.
OMG, I forgot about the flute! It makes me cry each time.
Please come back to Denver!!

Oh those beautiful harmonies.
DUDE! I LOVE "Dreamboat Annie" I was just born when my mom bought this... and I want THIS version with the flute ending!
Please no more family feuds… Life is too short… Make up now while you’re both alive ❤❤❤❤❤
LOVE you ANN! You are gorgeous and your voice is incredible!!
Love Nancy too, such an amazing guitar, love your voices together, amazing!
This song was my favorite when I was in high school. Its timeless melody's haven't changed in 50 years.
Their voices just bring to me to focus back on one of my favorite songs they put out!
I get the chills every time I hear this song!!
Listened for years exceptional voices......voices are heard with confusion in me too at times. Your music is amazing
If memory serves me correctly, Crazy on You would follow Dreamboat Annie. I think that's what I remember when I saw them in concert several years ago.
this right here !! these ladies have honed the art of music
loved this song when it came out ,still love it ,beautiful singers beautiful voices and perfect harmonies = perfect song
The harmony, the chord progressions/changes = pure musical MAGIC!
Still mesmerizing, after all these years!
Thank you Teri (wherever you are now)for turning me on to this back in 1975
Thanks for this great song by this kickass band. What talent ! ! & beauty ! ! ! Many women get better with age & these sisters prove that. Timeless! They sound as wonderful as they did the first time I heard them sing this. Incredible talent, incredible music!
pure unbridled talent and passion. its such a joy hearing them sing and play
Nancy is just so stunning!
Their harmonizations bring a tear to my eye, so does ann’s voice:’)
when i see/hear music this good it reminds me of why i love music in the first place
My only regret in life is I let someone talk me out of seeing Heart Live........IN SEATTLE! That was stupid. Great band.
my heart swells and milks my tear ducts for some reason ....beautiful, but I cannot hide the emotive effect this song has on me...I do sorely miss that era
One of CANADA'S best voices EVER!!!!!!
They are from Seattle
I don't care her age got a better voice than 99% of the people that are 40 years younger than her that are supposedly superstars
Yeah, they still are singing quite well here. Most of their contemporaries can’t sing nearly as well as they used to.
You should hear her do "Stairway to Heaven " !!!
Wow didn't realise Ann Wilson could play a flute like that. Such talented people and sisters. Always wear their hearts on their sleeves
Ann & Nancy : you got me thru my teenage years, thank you. Sounding as good now as you did then. Thanks for the music, ♥.
Dang these ladies...Ann is a true freak of nature. Limitless Grammys are deserved
Like a fine wine. Gets better with age!
Just sit back and go wow
This will always be the best 2 and a half minutes I will ever spending listening to Dreamboat Annie! Thank you Ann and Nancy!
Thanks Ann and Nancy for being "true to the music".
I love Dreamboat Annie and remember it well from when I was a teenager. WOW! Thanks Ann and Nancy for the great tunes and great years!
I've always loved Heart, they are so talented, both have beautiful voices!!
She is just so beautiful, we share the same birthday June 19 ☮️🎶
They still have angelic voices
They need to make a new album. They are a really sweet band.
I absolutely love these women. I've been listening to them nearly my entire life and rock wouldn't be the same without them. So talented.
I haven't heard this song in over 30 years
After all these years they still got it.
Absolute PERFECTION.
Can't expect a better start to a song.
This is such a spectacular song. Thank you HEART!
This will always be one of my favs, remember back in the 70’s driving down PCH windows down ocean breezes thank you wilson sisters and ❤

Pound for pound, still one of America's great voices.
Blown. ❤️
They cut the guitar intro but I wish they stayed the way they looked in the 70's.
Nancy was 45 years old here and Ann was 48.
God bless them.
I think Ann Wilson is perhaps the best singer of our era.
Nancy's harmonies are right up there too, like Dog & Butterfly with the Major 7th harmony... that makes me break down in tears, and I'm a straight man.
Not to mention Nancy's incredible fingerpicking...
After all these years they can still do it in the same key too... wow.
Just amazing ladies
tHEY HELPED ME THROUGH HARD TIMES AND DIDNT EVEN KNOW IT.
