Hi All things Tennis. the specs suggest that theres easy acces to spin and power and also feel and control. and with the tech 360 + It could probably be better than pure drive, radical and just below or on par with extreme and pure strike.
Just because its better priced than speed/rad/extreme/prestige/Pure Drive/Clash, doesnt mean its not for advanced to tour lvl players. This is not for a club/recreational players. Its a control/feel and power racket that gives you good play only if you are an advanced player. The swingweight is above the 325 gr. after putting on the overgrip, and the vibra-dampener. It needs a bit of lead in the hoop for stability and then its even balanced and maybe 330+ in swingweight. now we are talking tour. Forgiving racket? Then the Prestige MP (2021) or Radical is also a forgiving racket.
this one has more flex RA 64. pure drive is 69. so this one has more feel/ball contact but about same power. the RA suggest that this MP has more control though.
Instinct MP falls in between Radical and Extreme. If you want more plow through and a bit more swing weight all you have to do is add a bit of lead tape at 3, 12 and 9. also a few grams in the throat for a bit more stability. Its has medium control, medium to high power and medium spin.. Its better than the Babolat pure drive. few yeras ago this one got many good reviews. it has 360+ which do not differ much from the auxetic.
@@allthingstennis Also more expensive. I think extreme is more popular because of marketing. And the retailers do not really test or talk about the Instinct. Less profit. Instinct only moved out of the limelight because no pro endorsement atm. But I'm glad. I just bought 2 instincts on sale... 1/3 of the extremes. 360+ tech and. It has power, control and access to spin. Better than a few of the other topselling rackets. With some lead to the hoop and we have a winner. Spin is mostly in the technique and speed of the player. A spin racket can only do so much (little).
@@allthingstennis Theres Trade offs with all rackets. and taste change through the years. But the fact remains that: It falls between the Radical/Speed and the Extreme. Has more control than Extreme but a bit less spin than the Extreme. Has more spin than the Speed but a bit less control than the Speed. all marginal. But the price is so much better then the Extreme and the speed and you can tweek it by lead tape and adjust your technique a little. The Instinct is fast in the air. The string you put in and the tension can make a lot of difference coming to spin, control and power. You can make a Supermarket aluminium racket to play fine with lead tape and well chosen strings and tension. The instinct is not a beginner/low club level racket. Its solid with good technologies. it was in their top rackets just a year ago together with speed, extreme and Radical and only dropped out due to not have a pro to endorse it anymore. now they put in the Boom on the top teat racket list instead of the Instinct which I think is silly. Many very good top-players has recommended the Instinct line and especially the MP over and over again the last 10 years.
I really dont agree with this. This video to me is confused. the Racket (MP 100) is not at all for beginners or intimidiates..... its for intermidiates + and advanced players. It is a stick for players that can utilize a lot of top spin also but gives much better feel and control at net than Pure Drive and Ultra 100. its more armfriendly too. It has generously access to spin and power. The racket (100) has a bit tighter string pattern in the sweetspot than Pure Drive and Ultra 100. It has basically the same string grommets on the crosses as the Head extreme but better grommet for the mains than the extreme bc extreme is not double hole. The technology, lay up and the grommets is like of a high priced racket. The value is awesome for this racket. and the lower price is all because of no longer being endorsed by any pro. "free easy power" you can find in Nadals Baboloat Aero to a high price, so that do not indicate lvl of play. buy this and you are good. high lvl players that use pure drive shifts to this. have a good day
I just picked this up today and played a round with a mate - He uses the Babalot Pro Aero Rafa, we switched between games to feel the difference equally between the two in a full match style comparison. The Head Instinct biggest advantage is how much "energy" you save during the match. The Babalot left us both gassed after heavy hard rallies , yes the Babalot packs a punch you feel it through the strings it has an amazing "sweet" spot power however the lighter "feeling" Head Instinct was easily able to return solid hard shots. The extra energy really helped with the overall game and the victory both times going to the "Head" Obviously players are different and styles etc however for the both of us which have good power and use powerful forehands and spin the Head really surprised us. These were strung "from factory" so we took them both for a spin. The price tag difference is immense also, $250 AUD for the Head and $460+ for the Babalot.
@@MarkNorman_NXTLVL Just imagine how it will play when you string it with something like Big Hitter Silver 16/1.30 @ 54.... and add some few stripes of 3 grams of lead tape each side at 3 and 9 and/or maybe 12.
@@benjaminjensen111 I might actually try this set up!! I really think the benefits of thie raquet are overlooked so turning it into an advanced frame with these modifications is a great idea and something im willing to try. Would this be your best combo?
@@MarkNorman_NXTLVL Is for now. It will bump up the swingweight to some decent plowtrhough and add torsion stability for returns and the semi-stiff sleek round string will give the needed power, control and spin. and the silver will look good in that blue paint job. its a very good string for that racket. you can also try Lynx Tour 1.25 in mains and MLT in the cross @ 50/52
If a color could persuade me to get a racquet, this is it.
Head doing everything in their power to not be like the VCORE.
@@ternedo6074 if Yonex paint vcore in matte black or something like ezone. I would buy a few vcore
England? I can barely understand, but love the accent. What about senior players? I’m finding this racket pretty awesome.

maybe even play better.

Which string is in those racquets? thanks
Head Lynx, they come factory strung this way. ATT x
@@allthingstennis cool thanks
I thought this instinct line was changed into boom line?
Nope, just removed from their tour silo, as in no pro players endorsing it like Berdych and Sharpova used to.
@@allthingstennis So its still a pro racket actually. just without a comercial-head ( so to speak)
On par with Extreme 360+ MP/Pro
I'd say the Extreme line is more popular and more suited to a topspin baseliner
