    I really like how your stones turned out. They look so professional. I have some old magazines that I saved and can't wait to try this. The Dollar Store is a great place for supplies. Happy crafting!

    Just wanted to let you know you have me hooked. I have made rings and neclaces with both small and large stones. The magnets sell like hot cakes. One thing I did learn. I get my stones from the Dollar Store and order my rings,bails and chains in bulk from Amazon and eBay. Saves so much money. Happy crafting.

      I'm glad it was helpful. I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. When the glue or Mod Podge dries, it should be completely clear.

    I have found using a clothespin helps to hold it down to let it dry after you have put pressure on the whole piece and then after you're done doing that you can use double stick tape to adhere it to whatever you are applying it to instead of glue or mod podge

    Great, I can use my resin to make clear cabachons and follow up using old catalouges to make magnets , brooches, pendants using mod podge. Thank You! You have given me several ideas
    Can two cabachon halfs that are round be used to make a marble , pendant , earrings etc?

    • @meghanscoggins4394
      @meghanscoggins4394 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rachel V Kleypas-Sparrow, as great as idea as that is, it’s cheaper to buy the glass than to make your own with resin. I think I just bought 100 for $10.00 on Amazon. I can’t make that many with a 32 oz resin pack. Plus, no curing time.

  • @BlackCat_2
    @BlackCat_2 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Those came out cool. You could also put some paper on the back after the picture to cover the back or keep a magnet from showing through. The paint idea works too though. :)

    When I first saw the still shot of the finished product I thought they were drawer knobs. Do you think of the stone and the drawer knob blank are about the same size and a good, strong glue were used that they could be made into knobs? I'm trying to find or make knobs for a dresser I painted for our beach themed bedroom.

    Of all the different ideas I've seen so far, this is my favorite:) That picture of your parents, where the magnet shows thru... would it help to paint the whole back black? Didn't get a good look at it, but you said it was cuz it was so light or transparent? Anyways thanx, I like these. Happy crafting:)

    • @dancer281081

      +Vera Wroe Hi hun,The stones are called clear glass Cabochons ranging from 8mm upward!!Can purchase these off ebay or a site called 8seasons its based in china and sells a really fantastic range of jewellery findings etc,always buy from this site but the shipping can vary depend on who you pick.
      Just started this project with the glass cabochons and like alot of ppl seem to stuggle with the air bubbles when gluing the image to the glass dome,frustrating and seem to be wasting alot of glass domes.Using Diamond glaze has recommended by alot but no use,think will try modge and see how it goes.Also hope the top advice helps and good luck on your project hope you have better luck hunx
