I got lucky this year. A mate of mine works for a Munich-based company and we’ve now got a table reserved in the Augustiner tent. Can’t wait!!! Will report back.

I love all of those Oktoberfest beers and I’ll be stocking up on as many of them as I can. I tend to buy 3-4 bottles of each and I’ll keep a bottle or two of each one back for over Christmas
Good work once again on Oktoberfest . Through watching your channel I discovered Beers of Europe and have been a loyal customer of theirs ever since. Like you ever year I always buy at least two cases of the mixed 24 Oktoberfest biers and this year is no different. Can’t wait to dive into more of these beauties . Cheers 🍺🍺

paulaner has always been my favourite of the lot since i visited the brewery, the beer master had made a special dunkel weisen a deep amber colour and it was the nicest thing i’ve tasted. he makes it once a year but i wish they bottled it
Yup I have tried Spaten and lowenbrau on the PD. The lowenbrau bitter ending just pulls you in for more every time . Love them all but love the lowen even more. I tried mixed box too and really enjoyed the Hacker . Plenty head for me .lol btw what a buzz after all these. I laughed when you had lowenbrau in one hand and Paulaner in the other …..heaven ❤

Me and my mate would absolutely agree with you! Fantastic time. We're going back next year, however we're planning on going in August so as to focus on the beer gardens, restaurants and brewerys
I’ll probably regret giving this tip but for anyone in the Edinburgh area Eskbank Trading has the best selection of Oktoberfest beers, and best selection of beers in general. I hope they don’t sell out before Saturday when I’ll be back.
I could drink Oktoberfestbiers all year long. Here in my part of the USA there are local options. As for the German choices we get Hofbrau, Paulaner, HP and Spaten although the Spaten is only the Marzen variety. This year Weihenstephaner Festbier is tasting best to me. It weighs in at 5.8% ABV and I like the slightly lower alcohol content. I think the crackery malt is more enjoyable. I understand they are relatively small (and not in Munich City itself) but they pack quite the punch in the USA with a wide variety of quality choices.
Got myself all but a couple of these from Beers of Europe a couple of weeks ago. Don't like Hacker and Augustiner Oktoberfest wasn't in stock at the time. Instead I grabbed the Ayinger Fest Mazen and Helles. Also, collected the Augustiner Oktoberfest and Erdinger festbier couple of days ago when they finally came in to stock. Can't wait to try
For those who don't know, there is a difference between Oktoberfest ( Märzen ) beer and what is actually severed at today's Oktoberfest Festbier. Märzen is way darker and maltier than Festfier.
yes, sadly the last man standing (Hacker Pschorr) fell. The others haven't brewed Oktoberfest Märzen fon a long time. Märzen needs more stuff, and thus, expensive to produce. The Austrians sell normal lager as Märzen locally (which they may not in Germany).
@@andrewsteer8860 but only Germany kept this tradition. If you buy a Märzen in Austria, be prepared to get a normal, basic lager. Drink German Märzen as long as you can, this beer style is dying.
I'm actually having a Hacker Pshorr right now and it's incredible. Grassy, coastal tasting and bitter on the tongue. It compliments the sweet malt aroma. Very well balanced. Great head retention on it too. You might've gotten a bad batch man. I'd say get yourself another bottle and try it once more.
I've seen the Paulaner in my local Bier supermarket, but haven't had a chance to try. Thanks for the field research 😃If you get an opportunity to try a 'Tegernseer Hell' I heartily recommend. Always travels well in the bottle as well

yeah, Rewe and the other supermarkets have often such crazy actions, I already saw 20x Löwenbräu for 9.99. Penny sometimes has 20x Augustiner for 16 or so. It costs 10x as much at the Oktoberfest for 1 Litre (which is not as much because if the much foam)
On my second Keg of Perfect Draft Oktoberfest Lowenbrau or "Loovenbroy" as they say in Germany.
