Great stuff. Spent the majority of my life in Luton but now in Scotland (and there are bits of Glasgow that make Luton look like Mayfair, believe me) and I do miss the place.Probably just years of familiar sights triggering memories. By the time I'm able to visit again (heaven knows when this pandemic will get manageable) there'll be huge swathes built on, from the Luton Football stadium, the rail link to the airport and no doubt housing on farmland up at Wigmore. Thanks for the virtual visit. As you say Luton's no St Albans or Hitchin. It has its problems but the mix of people generally get on. Both Wardown Park & Stockwood Park and the discovery centre are great and you're within easy reach of the countryside and London. I miss the range of foods from Bury Park & the Polish food shops too.Hope you do more vids when you can. Best wishes.

Doesn't look bad in your film. I lived there as a child in the 60's and it was a nice place. plenty of employment, industry and good services, I prefer Somerset now.

Thank you for sharing this. I lived in Luton for uni, and whilst its not the most idyllic of places, I yet had many good memories in city. I used to pass through the same route regularly, and its so nice to see it all up close again. It' is, however, odd to see the place so quiet and empty, particularly the mall.

Glad you enjoyed it! Yes it was a little odd walking around the place at this time, but it was interesting to capture it on video for future reference :)

Not for much longer, it's mainly mosques blaring out jibber-jabber.

Where is the Luton industrial zone?

Long gone. Now it's just Muslim controlled drug distribution, car theft/breaking for parts, control of prostitution, burglary, tax evasion, illegal development and so much more.
