So glad this is back. I have a tuscan style home with the cherry cabinets and dark warm granite countertops, lol. Was in the process of choosing colors for the kitchen cabinets. Decided to leave them (domt have the means to get it professionally done) and thinking about just painting the island in urbane bronze. I'm testing it out today, and it's looking pretty awesome. I feel like these trends are saving my life! 😂
I'm actually going to do a video soon on updating kitchens with granite without renovating. Darker colors work really well to almost "hide" the granite. Urbane bronze would be pretty, darker blues are also really nice, too!

I favor colors that are 'rich'...rather than what I consider to be washed out. My choice of Sherwin Williams "Downing Sand" pleases me greatly. It is soothing, easy on the eyes, and creates a good backdrop for my furnishings. Knowing that I did not want a pink beige, or one too brown and without character, I made my choice. I had no idea there was a geen undertone, until one night between dusk and darkness, with a few lights on the green revealed itself. I did a double take. Depending on the light, some areas showed the undertone, and some did not. I decided that I would still choose this color, and have no regrets.

I have off white furniture and Tuscan Tan by Benjamin Moore. I want to redocorate and add yellow blue and grey decor. What would be the best color to paint? I hate Grey paint so that won't be an option. Thank you
I've been struggling for ages trying to find the right paint for my open concept room (kitchen, living & dining room). The most permanent is my natural cherry kitchen cabinets (slightly darkening) and dark walnut furniture pieces. I'm not a fan of pink tones (as I have other blue green tones in bathrooms rooms). What warm neutral options do you think would look best for this open concepts. I'm about to pull my hair out! Btw...your video on how the steps to picking paint was very helpful and refreshing! I have the 90s honey oak cabinets and pine flooring. I want to get away from the yellow orange undertones so the cabinets will blend in. Do you have a suggestion? Thank you for the info and for the videos.
I'd sample first SW casa blanca and see what it does for your space. If you don't like that, try SW Shoji White or Neutral Ground.
I'm pretty happy with Ballet White throughout my entire cottage including ceilings (it has sloped ceilings in most rooms).. . Didn't make your top 8 ?...
Ballet white is great and one I recommend a lot! I just had to cut the list off at some point 😊
Hello, would one of the green undertone beiges work well in a home that has a dark room with a taupe carpet? The rest of the house has orangish wood floors and more natural light. It's a split level and since the middle level opens up to the lower level, I'm trying to use one paint color. We'll be moving in a few years so I'd like to freshen up the walls with a neutral paint color. Thank you!

I think you actually need to look to grays with green undertones for this situation, not beige paint colors. Try BM Edgecomb Gray or if you want something lighter, try BM Classic Gray.
Do you have a video that addresses concrete floors? We are deciding on paint colors this weekend and have been testing SW paints. I was set on Natural Linen, but after sampling, it looks super pinky grey in our space. It is a Barndominnium with SUPER tall ceilings. I love the Off whites/Creams since I think they will warm the space up. I also plan on painting the walls/ceilings, trim and kitchen cabinets the same color with a wood Island. The concrete floors are throughout the whole space. What undertones or paint options should I be looking at? I am slowly working my way through your videos but thought I would ask. :)
Hey there! You need grays with green undertones for this! Look at edgecomb gray, gray mist, accessible beige just to name a few.

I tend to think black is a neutral, but I'd likely go with a beige with a green undertone.
What beige do you recommend to tie in a tile floor that has grey undertones. The space does not have a lot of light either.
I think I would look to a greige here. Can you tell what type of undertone the gray floor has? Blue, green or purple?

Yes! This color is technically a taupe and has pink undertones. Make sure your fabrics and countertops, etc work well with the taupe or it will clash.
I'm not sure if this is the same as SW Natural Linen? I was so excited to use this but decided to test it out and it was a dark pink/grey in our space. So still on the hunt to find the perfect color, so bummed it didn't work!

Beige wasn't trending until the 2000s. The 90s were mauves, maroons, peaches, & cornflower blue. And LOTS of sponge painting!
Late 90’s beige came on the scene, that’s how it became popular in the 2000’s.

Seems that your main requirement in paint is light and airy. Some people enjoy the aesthetic of a color that has a bit more depth, especially if one has a lot of white trim and cabinets. You really need to broaden your perspective

Thanks for watching, and what a nice comment! I typically give many "light and airy" colors because overwhelmingly that's what most people want right now. Of course, I can't please everyone in one video so I try to suggest what most people are looking for.
