I’m a former resident of Abilene, Tx. Retired out of Dyess AFB. I’ll admit, I do miss Texas. It grew on me. Abilene has a small town feel with some city like amenities. Safe travels and enjoy your time back in the Lone Star State. I’ll continue watching from Angeles City.

I'm not American, but we had the opportunity to stay in the US for a few years. US it's own issues (like any country) but let's be honest it has a lot of good things going on. It's a beautiful country, wish we traveled more. Our stay was pleasant.. Hopefully we'll get a chance to go back

Just a suggestion the bridge to the beach over the pond you could put copper caps on those vertical rails to keep it from rotting out I see that a lot in Florida just an idea

When the pond is full, you can paddle around with a canoe, lol. How about a couple of small model 'vintas,' just for looks. Allow the 'vintas' to be blown around the perimeter of the pond when it is windy. You can also use the pond water to run remote model boats and have a race, for fun. Oh how about a U.S. military carrier as a semi-permanent structure in one of the conners or in the middle of the pond, complete with its full flotilla! Just some thoughts, hahahaha. Imagine if you had NOT done all your remedial work, total wipe out I imagine, of all the neighbours properties. Thanks for giving some income to the neighbours as well, whilst away. My first thought was about the fishermen, not being able to go fishing due to the weather As you know, they live day to day, so a few days loss of income is a problem for them! Can’t say I’ve missed much of the US in the many years I’ve been here. Texas is not the same state I grew up in so to avoid the disappointment I don’t believe I’ll be visiting there if I ever go back for a US visit even though I have lots of family still residing there. I do miss Mexican food and as you mentioned good roads without dogs, tricycles, scooters, people just walking out to cross the road, and all the other daily road hazards here. Oh to only deal with the Texas simple passive aggressive road rage drivers, simply heaven.
