I made this in a couple of hours including cutting all the pieces myself with a circular saw. Just need to sand and then I plan to paint. It was easy to do and I love it so much I am going to make another longer one. Thanks for the simple instructions

I'm about to make this about 5' long and 12.5" wide for my deck. This will be perfect for us and I thank you very much for the instructions. I do not understand how the tightening blocks operate though. Can someone explain please?

It is hard to understand because his wood railing is exactly the same color as his table.
Look closely at the shot of him installing it from underneath, the block prevents you from being able to lift the table once you have placed it on the railing
