Mercedes E class from 2003 was the engineering basis for this platform. Chrysler engineering visited German to learn about the E class Benz and used it to create the LX platform. The current car is the LM platform but still is using many of the same parts from the old W211 Mercedes chassis. I believe that is why they are able to add so much power to this platform and it drives well.
It's so refreshing to have an instrument cluster that isn't an iPad or a computer screen. Dodge did a great job of making an old school American Muscle Car with the proper amount of technology. Who wants to drive an iPad wheels?
I will always choose Dodge over Ford because Dodge makes MUSCLE. Chevy and Ford just don’t make muscle cars anymore… the camaro and mustangs are really just sports cars, but I still respect them. I owned a 2019 Hellcat Redeye and the car was fun but the GT350 is more fun to drive everyday; smaller, handles better, sounds better and is a manual shit. I also owned a 2016 Hellcat manual (my sig pic). My friend owned a 2020 GT500 and when I drove that the car hooked better than my Redeye did and the DCT shifts way better and faster than the Chrysler 8 speed. The Hellcats are basically just straight up old school muscle cars.
Id prefer the super stock more horsepower. Maybe not as fast due to weight but knowing that there is more power and torque sounds better and feels better. I feel like the hemi is more of a man’s car. Nothing sounds like them hemis plus I’d strip some stuff off to drop couple hundred pounds. Super stock is more muscular just little slower but more potential

Obviously the Challenger is the quicker car but if you’re track racing or street racing with corners the GT500 would be the better option
