I'm literally obsessed with this build. Went to the website and figuring out how I am going to get one done. I would rather spend the money on something like this, than almost 100K on one of these new trucks out. The wheel and tire combo is perfect.
Absolutely.... 4:40 the sidelines and the front end with wide tires was my most recurring drawing in my draft notebooks when I was a child! This truck is Absolutely Badass... I wish my grandpa could see these legend series trucks.... He owned square bodies for two decades (70s & 80s) before he betrayed GM, switching to Dodge Rams (The Adventurer) LOL .... He once admitted he would go back in time just to feel the brand-new Square Bodies again.... Imagine what he would think or say about these MAGNIFICENT Trucks!!! AWESOME
I own a 73 short bed and I love the old style crap steering and everything about it. I’d love to have one of these newer chassis but I still love the old feel and easy to tinker with
This guy is so exact, and understanding, and logical, i literally havent heard anyone who " Gets it " more than him.. He knows exactly what to do, i have no complaints or questions after these videos. He has the perfect understanding and thought process for building the best cars ever built.. BRAVO, SIR BRAVO INCREDIBLE
2:03 Idea for you guys. If you could come up with some stiffer wiper arms then we could run 18" wiper blades on em. Can;t now because the current arms are too flimsy. Thats really the only thing I'd wanna change on this beautiful truck. I don;t these days but used to daily drive my 78 C20 for over 10 years. Now it just gets used for truck stuff...lol But the tiny wipers are irritating.
This is the absolute coolest thing you have put on the market. I learned to drive on a 3/4 1979 Scottsdale in blue and silver. I have a 2007 Silverado z71. I have always wanted my dads old truck with new truck technology
I've owned a few of them old square bodies back on the day, those were trucks,,work horses!go like he'll in 4wd!! The ones they make today are woosie trucks compared to back in the day!!!!
I’m building a 74 custom deluxe with this exact paint scheme. Mine is virtually identical 😂 kidding this is like the you vs the guy she tells you not to worry about.
I have a a rate Square Body,,,1974 C-20 Cheyenne Super,454/400,A/C,power brakes,power steering,dual tanks,Gold/white,Longhorn package,Jerry Chevrolet TX! Never seem one like mine with the colors
Love the trucks, and the video. However, we already have a problem! For us to buy a chassis from you,...you would have to build a one off! We are building a 74 Chevy Suburban K20! Unfortunately for us, that's even a longer wheelbase than the longed pickup. 😢
As to the weight ratings, etc... Do you guys just go by the GVWR on the old bodys tags? If so, if I find an old truck to use for this do I need to find the most HD half ton possible for a candidate? I'd use it as a DD but also as a truck.
I got a buddy that has a 78 model gmc 4 speed 3/4 ton it was his dads ive tried a 100 times to buy,,he wont do it,,hes a farmer here and money doesnt mean much,,sure wish i could get it
I'd love to get one of these for the 1979 K10 that I have. I priced out a chassis from their website, went with the LT1 engine, cooling module and core support package, brake booster/master cylinder kit, powder coated chassis, hitch receiver with air bags and compressor. I did not go with the 17 inch wheel package (6 grand for the wheels and tires). The grand total: $87,592!
Rs4 chassis is about 42k. Then you need a ls or lt based motor, and a donor body. Easily under 100k. Now if you have them build it complete, that’s going to be more obviously.
This body style was never called "square body" out of the factory, its actually referred as the "rounded line" from 73-91. Us the public call them square body
I hate companies like this all it does is raise the price up on a piece of shit truck for us regular guys. Because I guarantee this guy selling the trucks for over $100,000 and that causes everybody with the square body to think they have $100,000 truck
the chassis with motor/trans is 100k...this truck is well into six figures. The amount of time and money into developing a product like this makes it well worth the asking price. plus, regular guys wouldnt know how to build a truck like this.

This truck is gorgeous. And it's the perfect height. I just don't care for the ones that sit super low that I've been seeing on social media.
You guys kill it every time! I am just so impressed with everything you guys build.
First Truck was a 1975 Scottsdale. Second was a 1986. Love these square bodies. Great video and well done on your work.

FABULOUS. I love these trucks. Under seating built in storage would be nice.

BRAVO, SIR BRAVO
INCREDIBLE
Outstanding. One day I’ll buy this chassis for our family square body.
Would look good in my garage next to my 1971 Pontiac Lemans GT-37!

Classic and beautiful! Great build!👏👏👍❤
aw man the seat snitching came loose. i love those trucks! working on getting one from yall!
Awesome, Beautiful, BadAss Truck. I would want the Manual transmission. I loved that About the Old Square bodies.
11:12 Thats sexy. It's the best looking wheel of all the squares made modern. Beautiful wheel!
Don't need the giant original wheel if you have power steering.
Absolute dream truck, for me, is this!!!
I've owned a few of them old square bodies back on the day, those were trucks,,work horses!go like he'll in 4wd!! The ones they make today are woosie trucks compared to back in the day!!!!
such amazing work the shop is doing with this chassis, definitely a goal to work towards to feel the experience of these amazing chassis.
Want that steering wheel! 🔥
Good job guys...definitely my favorite!!!
These are perfect I want one so bad
Beautiful truck

Nice ! Thanks for the namesake. Oldblue.
Omg....i wish dad could see this..
Очень нравится такой пикап. Очень жаль, что их не выпускают давно, для меня они лучше и практичнее любого современного автомобиля
I have a a rate Square Body,,,1974 C-20 Cheyenne Super,454/400,A/C,power brakes,power steering,dual tanks,Gold/white,Longhorn package,Jerry Chevrolet TX! Never seem one like mine with the colors
Cool shit no doubt, these guys do some spectacular things 👌🇺🇸🇺🇸
Awesome buddy........ Greetings from india 🇮🇳🤠🤠🤘🏻🙌🏻
0:43 any way to make some trim rings for the wheels? They were a staple on these old trucks.
Nice classic truck 🙏😎😇
Love the trucks, and the video.

😢
I had a 81 square body. I used a late 70's Camaro steering wheel .
nice. are the seat belts functional?
😂😂

Sweet
What kind of engine options do you have? Cand you do a built 454 v8, inline 6, or are you sticking with modern engines?
Joe rogan sent me here lol😊
Me too brother
Me too
Same.
Watching Joe rogan on Spotify and looking this up on TH-cam currently
goodjob. 🚘🤟😎
Beautiful truck would love to own one won day what would it cost me and what kind of warranty do you offer thank you
Could you post a link to the billet specialties wheels and hub caps?
Why no long bed option? If I want another square body, Had 2, 1976 and 1977, they were both 8' beds.
IFS is the only way to go IF you care about ride, handling, etc.
It either needs a bit higher lift of smaller tires
If someone would like a different engine package, could Roadster Shop accommodate?
Does it matter low hump vs tall hump floorpans?
when are you going to start doing this th the k5 blazers
That black GMC looked suspect, all around town.
So it is 4x4? Amazing. As always.
Where y’all get the gas cap from
I got a buddy that has a 78 model gmc 4 speed 3/4 ton it was his dads ive tried a 100 times to buy,,he wont do it,,hes a farmer here and money doesnt mean much,,sure wish i could get it
How much does the blue truck go for?
You guys need to show the performance in your drive
What would be the price of something like this? It’s perfection.
6 figures at least
Are you serious? More than a new loaded superduty.
I read it was close to 300k

I want a 2023 ss side step and I want y’all too work on it I want a fast low rider type race truck
where do I get one?
Cruise Control?
What diffs are under this truck? Old rebuilt 10 bolt?
The rear axle is a GM 12 bolt with 3.42 gears.
What would a build like that cost?
Do the wheels rub when turning?
Of course not
✌🤙
Rear axle doesn't look like stock chevy
Please sell that steering wheel
10:23 is the worst steering wheel any squarebody ever had. crappy horn button breaks off or pops off too easily.
the 77 and back wheel is way better
You really should be wearing a seat belt! (Sorry for being that guy...)
Naw he needs to keep it authentic and have is two kids in there with him crawling around.
12-15k? You should smile, offer to let them take a picture with it, and hand them a RS catalog.
love the truck ,interior not so much
This body style was never called "square body" out of the factory, its actually referred as the "rounded line" from 73-91.
Us the public call them square body
150k and still has sun faded and dirty door panels...
I’m tired of looking at lower trucks,3/4 tons and 4x4 beed go stay Original,I guess NASCAR truck series has everyone going low
Seatbelts? Never heard of em.
I hate companies like this all it does is raise the price up on a piece of shit truck for us regular guys. Because I guarantee this guy selling the trucks for over $100,000 and that causes everybody with the square body to think they have $100,000 truck
