The 'Lazrus' video was choosed by Bowie himself, made the day before he died. So, this great artist choosed it as a testament, as disturbing and deranging as it might look. You feel uncomfortable? He raised his goal. Sickness and pain, decay and death, he looked their in the eyes. Don't turn your eyes away, it is a remarkable vision of something that everyone will face. But Bowie did it with talent, LEGACY ❤
I don’t normally have a lot of time for mash ups when it comes to Bowie but this is wonderful, both track and video. I can’t give it a higher compliment than that. 👍🏻
There is no way Bowie is not hearing this and smiling from above. !!! Two best male musician geniuses ever-for sure. 🎉🎉🎉😊 Robert Smith and the forest...one of The Cure's best songs.
I am completely blown away by this mashup! The combination of Bowie's haunting vocals with The Cure's instrumentation is absolutely mesmerizing. Huge thanks to Minor Arth for the incredible visuals too! This is art at its finest, can't stop listening!
How can something so beautiful be so sad? I miss Bowie, but love that you can feel his spirit in so many Cure songs. Some souls live forever, just the body has left this mortal plane.
Wow what great collaboration. Two favorite bands. So messed up but beautiful. Bowie I wish you peace. And for the Cure good lord the new album is amazing. I’m thankful for all your hard work to put it together. While I always want more just like the rest of us, please take the time for your life and family. We can wait. Kudos on the new album and awards, well deserved.
Whenever I listened to David Bowie I felt close to The Cure. And every time I listened to Robert with his band, I felt Bowie's presence nearby. That's why the great idea of conceiving this video is especially endearing to me. On the one hand it's like something I had already sensed or dreamed of is coming true. And on the other hand, when Bowie leaves, he somehow remains in The Cure. Although it is not comparable to having both artists live on the same stage. th-cam.com/video/Krhzq6C1EBw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=THNwk2NdMM9g48s3 BTW, A Fragile Thing is a fucking masterpiece. And its wisteful lyrics are insanely deep. The Cure are still very, very much alive. 🖤
It’s 4am and I’ve been restless and can’t sleep and this came up on the feed… thank you so much for finding an energy and combination that best fit what tonight has felt like
I love the Cure's earliest work. David Bowie was a phenomenal talent, and although I didn't know him as a person, like for so many of us, his loss affected me in an inexplicable way. I want to hate this - but I can't.
@@DoMmashupscovers And I disagree with your agreement. Emotional feedback is unique to each person and what, for my subjective perception, is emotionally powerful and intense content cannot mean the same thing as it does for you. We dream of sharing feelings, and sometimes we play at achieving it, and although on exceptional occasions real life seems to offer us evidence of that beautiful connection, deep down, even if we live with another person, we are still alone. 🖤 A gloomy nonsense that, when said so convincingly, can even seem like an irrefutable truth. 😎 However, sometimes emotional connections happen. And it is amazing to appreciate that different subjective perceptions can share some degree of complicity.
Possibly the best mashup I have ever heard. I lost a good friend not long ago and stumbled into this oddly enough just this past week but it truly encapsulates his passing and helps me mourn his loss and think about my own shortening future.
A forest great record. David Bowie great man. Everyone including the Cure. Love David Bowie and I bet he appreciated the Cure. Tomatoes won’t grow on an apple tree
Bowie will never die. Just think from Changes to industrial and last album Considered Jazz (he said all his life he wanted to do a jazz album) came out right days before his death!
Wow! This tune is kindof holy to me since my youth. It’s a perfect match, also the clips. And that song, video and timing of Bowie’s passing still give me the chills.. I wonder what RS and The Cure thinks about it. And what Bowie would have thought, bless his soul. Beautiful..

Great mash up but seeing Bowie like this still makes me incredibly sad.
Don't worry, Bowie get well soon.
Me too. He knew when he made Blackstar, he wasn’t long for this world & passed three days later. Still miss him. Gone too soon 😢

He will jump back in his tomb...come on what's that?!

When I saw the first video released for the album, I knew. How heartbreaking and brave for Bowie to have chosen to write and record his own elegy.
The video was certainly not made the day before he died.

Beautiful things are often sad. If only because they never last.
Like Bowie. We were lucky to have him for a while, though.
Great
