[JANE] So then I got to do Dr. Quinn, and of course, you know… you’re not supposed to fall in love with your leading man, but as you know if you read the tabloids, that tends to happen. And I was single, and I had been hurting, and he’s not bad to look at. (Laughter) He’s much younger than me, so I had to get out my torn jeans and be hip and young. And it wasn’t until I started taking him to the school… you know the school things that my kids, and things like that, that I started to think, “Oh, there’s a disconnect here. A big difference. Anyway, we fell in love, we ran off to Bora Bora. We had a big fight in Bora Bora. We came back, and broke up. All of which would’ve been fine except they picked up Dr. Quinn and we had to play lovers for 7 years. (Laughter) Good news is, we knew how to do that! (Laughter) The other good news is, I don’t think we ever stopped loving one another, in fact, I know he’s my closest friend on the planet right now. We are very, very close, but while we made Dr. Quinn - and this is a secret no one knows - we couldn’t even talk unless we were talking as Sully & Michaela. It was tough, really tough. And, but, it turned into a great movie, it’s turned into a fabulous friendship, and I wouldn’t have missed a minute of it.
[JANE] One last question… OK!
[WOMAN FROM AUDIENCE] We’ll end this on a high note. It’s a two-part question. Is there an actor that you’ve never worked with that you would like to, and number two… give us the dish… who’s been the best kisser? (Laughter)
[JANE] Well, I mean, clearly, the best kisser is, you know, a tie between Joe Lando and Christopher Reeve, and that’s only because we had a lot of practice. (Laughter)

Wow. You can see that they still love each other. I remember when a man used to look at me that way.
I know that in another occasion Jane said that she and Joe had always loved each other, and I suppose that this is really true.
Yes, they still love each other as they are dear friends today. They never hated each other, but it was difficult for a while.

Loved this! Thank you for sharing it. I’ve heard Jane say before, that she and Joe were only speaking to each other through their scripts. After seeing a lot of behind the scenes and on set videos, I’ve assumed their non-speaking terms only lasted so long. Those videos are all so much fun to watch and I’ve assumed that to be true. Hopefully!😊

Well, there was a magazine special for TV weddings and Sully and Michaela's wedding was one that was in it. Both Jane and Joe were interviewed and were asked if it were true that they don't really speak and they both said that they do speak to each other and the fact that they didn't was exaggerated. I'm sure there were times when they weren't speaking at all, but I don't think it was for the entire 6-year run of the show. They obviously had their good days and their bad days and they fought quite often but in the end it all worked out. I appreciate what they gave us with Michaela and Sully, the greatest TV romance ever.

They began dating while they were filming the pilot in early 1992 and it only lasted a couple of months, but they attended several public events together and there are photos of them during that time.

I was there. 90% of it was just her talking about herself. Hello I can use IMDB and wikipedia I know what moves you've been in.
I believe her point was to talk about the difficulties she encountered on some of those projects. In the example from this video, she showed how well things worked out years later, even though it was very hard at the time. Glad to hear from someone who was at this event!
At least she was better than last year's conference where we got to listen to Russell Simmons tell us we are a bad person if we eat meat.
