Brilliant video of trains at Peterborough with the 2 DB class 90s and 91119 and the 66 convoy as well and loads more as well. Can't wait to see part 2 and 3
It was a great day all round, the first part had so much going on it was hard to try and keep up at times, hopefully you will enjoy part 2 just as much :)
Fabulous part 1, absolutely enjoyable. I've always thought that the 91s sound like a ghost train going by, and the HST power cars sound like airliners taking off lol. Be well and keep safe, regards Gary.
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, I love coming to this station there is always something good to see here no matter what time of the day you turn up :) I know what you mean about the sounds the various trains make when they are powering up
Hi mate just to say that was a good footage at Woking. It was funny when that class66 came through. It looked cold there at Peterborough you must have been wearing a hoody. I like watching your videos also it's funny when fluff your lines when a train comes in as well funny. Keep up the good work be safe. Boldeagle.
Brilliant part1 there. The Stadler Flirts you speak of will be coming into service, I think, in the summer. Greater Anglia are currently testing unit 755405 on various routes around East and Greater Anglia in both electric and diesel modes at the present moment. Surprised you remembered all the train companies at the start there. Didn't realize there were that many haha !!
Thanks very much I'm really looking forward to seeing the new stadler flirts in operation as they look incredible and they sound stunning. I had to think about the amount of companies that I would be seeing that day haha
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :) I loved coming here it's always a great station to come to, I was hoping for a 70 but I can't complain haha
Well done Jarred. Fully enjoyed Peterborough action from part 1. The 158's sounds mighty with the Perkins engines, they are incredibly might. #loveof158
Hopefully 43367 Ex 43167 gets preserved based on it's status on being the only HST Power Car to have 4 different engine types as i mentioned on one of your clips a while back at Doncaster
@@Tornado922 I thought DB were the parent company of Chiltern railways? Also, is this why X Country don't operate in Wales....as they'd be in conflict with Arriva Trains Wales......e.g another Arriva owned franchise? ...meaning that Arriva have a total monopoly in Wales!! .....so much for choice!
It’s 2019 and the LNER 800 Azumas accelerate their hold on the East Coast Mainline as they enter service and boost services between Kings Cross and Edinburgh and likely additional services to Aberdeen and Inverness. Would be interesting if the 800s could cross through London in going between Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness and the South Coast. Of Course the Thameslink 700s go between Peterborough and Horsham and Cambridge and Brighton.
Syed - Much of the railways south of the Thames are 'third rail' electric - all of the bits that both Southern, and South eastern trains run on.....and most of South Western Railway too......so unless the 800 Azumas were compatible with 'third rail' they wouldn't be able to run south of London....or indeed the Thames.
All Peterborough Thameslink trains during weekdays go to Horsham calling at majority of the stops along the way. Farringdon is a mandatory stop unless it gets cancelled for a certain reason (for example, the train could be heavily delayed).
Thanks very much, if I did the whole thing as a single film you would be looking at something over 2 hours in length. I don't think people could deal with me for that length of time haha
Nice film there! Peterborough has always been my favourite station! I don’t live to far away from it! Can’t wait for part 2!
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this first part
Fantastic video and a brilliant station evidently, a whole heap of different operators and freight coming through. Superb
Thanks very much for saying so I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, I love coming to this station as there is always something good to see

Great video Jared. I love 91121 'Trainbow' livery class 91 for LNER
Thanks very much, I'm glad you enjoyed watching this
The 3 videos you made for this station are brilliant. Absolutely amazing station 🙂
I'm glad you enjoyed watching all three :)
Very good video. You were very unlucky to see a shed on Felixstowe Crewe that’s a regular 70 working. Can’t wait for part 2 😀
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :) I loved coming here it's always a great station to come to, I was hoping for a 70 but I can't complain haha
Yeah as they start gradually coming out of Leeds they’ll be seen more regularly
I've watched all of your videos at Peterborough and they were great
Well thank you kindly for saying so
Yes I always love when you upload =)
Thank you kindly for saying so :)
My home town welcome back
It was great being here

Thanks very much bud I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, the engines in the 158's do sound really good when they are accelerating
Ironic that the one time someone calls the train an Electra it wasn’t actually an Electra. Great video!
I seem to be the king of irony at the best of times! I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :)
Thanks for another great video;) I enjoyed this video really a lot;)
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :)
Great video's(cheddington and leighton buzzard and this one), spoiled again...haha ;) Thanks for sharing and have a great week!
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching all of them :D I have a few more that I will be uploading within the next few days ;)
@@Tornado922 Jumping for joy here;)
Wow 66172 was named Paul Melleney in 2005 so it’s probably over 10 years old now
Great 1st part.
Thanks very much
@ 13:56 the departing HST to york (43320)..why wasn't it displaying red lights at the rear?
also any news on when the Azumas-class 800`s are hitting the tracks for service?
They should be entering service later this year
It in service now!
Well done! B.P.
Thanks very much!!
You got it wrong. I thank you as always! B.P.
Great video
Thanks very much :)
Seems like a nice station with the line in the middle, I’ve never been there or on that main line seems like a busy station .
It's a great station to come to and one the I highly recommend if you haven't been here before
How do u know the coaches and where it’s coming and going and the numbers and how can u tell them from far away??
Great video welcome back to my home station will you make another trip sometime
Thanks very much, I will probably come back here later in the year but I'm not to sure at this stage
Hopefully 43367 Ex 43167 gets preserved based on it's status on being the only HST Power Car to have 4 different engine types as i mentioned on one of your clips a while back at Doncaster
I'm sure the power car will be saved especially as there is so much history behind it
Peterborough looks great may pay a visit myself, lots of traffic, if I go what platform would you recommend standing on?
This is a great station to come to and one that I highly recommend if you haven't been here before, try platform 3 where I was standing for this part
Tornado922 ok I probably will at some point.
Why are turbostars being replaced from Greater Anglia.
They are being replaced the new Stadler Flirts
Am I right in saying thetX Country trains are operated by arriva?and how many other franchises do they have?less wales now of course
You are indeed correct, they operate Cross Country, Chiltern Railways and Grand Central
Tornado922 northern?

It would be good to see LNER branch out their services to the southern end of the country but it simply wouldn't work :)

Brilliant video were is class 91 and 82 start on west coast main line
Thanks very much for saying so, the 225 sets should be the WCML later this year if memory serves
180114 is Kirkgate Calling and Fabe sees this one a lot
91119 had gone north just after 8am. I was down at the GBRF yard from about 6:30 till 8:30 and snapped a quick photo of it at 8:08 as it passed.
I caught it towards the end of this first part
Do the Peterborough Thameslink trains call at Farringdon.
I'm not overly sure you would have to check a timetable for that
All Peterborough Thameslink trains during weekdays go to Horsham calling at majority of the stops along the way. Farringdon is a mandatory stop unless it gets cancelled for a certain reason (for example, the train could be heavily delayed).
Amazing video:) why did you do it in parts its better when you just do the whole thing 👍😊
Thanks very much, if I did the whole thing as a single film you would be looking at something over 2 hours in length. I don't think people could deal with me for that length of time haha
21:00 Did that 225 call at Stevenage
I don't know
Nice! :)
thanks very much
Yes You're on the ECML.
Hay that's wired seeing the class 91 in its intercity livery because the lner train service is a bit like the former railway sector intercity
It's nice to see the various TOC's acknowledging the former liveries on their trains
@34.17 When you got to go you got to go at least it's better there than going behind a tree imagine a 225 set behind a tree LOL
Well this is very true haha :)
The 91s and 82s look like Darth Vader
THE 225S ARE HERE YAY!!!!!!!!!
Why are 225s Electras
That is their name
Do you ever questioned for being at the station for so long?
I get questioned sometimes at some of the stations around the country, but once I explain what I'm doing the staff just leave me be
1:50, 1:56 Norwich vs Ipswich East Anglian Rivalry 😂😂😂
24:41 NOOOOOOOOOO. Not the class 90.
The 90's are used when a 91 is getting repaired
@@Tornado922 oh ok thanks
35:08 Not again
I’m off to Tamworth on feb 18 care to join me
Sadly I will be working that day
