Now where she is standing, why is she signing at that time and what she is signing May be a cause for revision but the fact that she's there to assist should not be an issue.

I saw a comment recently from a guy who’s just started attending the RCIA however was having second thoughts because all he was seeing online was this type of in-fighting and squabbling.
I was baptised and brought into the Catholic Church this Easter, I’m very new to everything so I’m seeing these developments with fresh eyes and after having read several biblical passages for the first time in my life.
I’m being recommended video after video of whiny, disdainful commentaries of this type of mass where the priest goes off script or is trying a new format.
Do I understand your frustration? Yes.
Should mass be a reverent occasion? Absolutely.
Were there a type of people in biblical times who criticised and nit-picked when things weren’t done to the letter of the law? Yes, the Pharisees.
I’m not suggesting that it’s wrong to have a desire for mass to be celebrated reverently and in the correct manner, the vast majority want that too, however, we’re called to build up the body of the church. Each of us to contribute something to the cause.
Ask yourselves very honestly when you criticise these things via making a TH-cam video or commenting, spreading around this disdain, what is my motive here? How am I helping build up the body of the church? Am I loving my neighbour as myself? It doesn’t feel like there’s much love here.
Now, these videos do well in terms of engagement, I’m not suggesting people are jumping on a bandwagon for the sake of those views and engagement, I understand there is a genuine emotional reaction when we see a key part of our faith being made into light entertainment (I fully agree this shouldn’t happen), however, ask yourself how helpful is a TH-cam video versus how HARMFUL it may be? Seriously, consider the pros and cons that this type of content could have for our church. It won’t solve the problem, it will simply cause further disharmony and upset which is exactly what the enemy wants.
Satan the accuser is alive and well within all of this - he will be revelling in all of this nit-picking and criticism.
The guy I mentioned earlier was seriously considering walking away from God’s call to the RCIA because of one of these videos.
Within the past year I’ve encountered the letters of Paul for the first time and I have to say, some of his remarks about quarrelling and arguments are just as relevant today for our church.
Am I suggesting we should sugarcoat things and pretend it’s not happening? Absolutely not, however, I ask myself what is a more constructive approach that doesn’t echo the tones of the Pharisees we’ve so fervently been told not to imitate?
If I offend or upset anyone with these comments, that wasn’t my intention. My concern is with our church, e.g. how we can build it up and how to work towards unity, as we’re called to do.
Peace to all of you, God bless.

    • @annemary9680

Oh so I suppose God the Father is a Pharisee for striking down and killing Aaron's two sons for offering strange incense He didn't ask for. Tell your wishy washy novel to St Nicholas who punched a dangerous heretic at a Church council. This trash in the video IS NOT CATHOLIC. Violations of the First Commandment are the worst offenses and abominable "worship" tops them all.
If that guy is considering walking away from RCIA, it's because he hasn't found the true Catholic faith, which isn't found in the bogus ordo.

As a current confessional Protestant, even our liturgy is far more honorable to God than any Novus Ordo parody of Mass.
That being said, this Is Roman. This is the parody of Mass your own Bishop of Rome is pushing. Once he eliminates TLM, and excommunicates everyone refusing to embrace this Novus Ordo, there will be no one left to speak out against this style of heresy. But that’s ok! Rome has the Pope, so there is “unity” in Rome. And when the Bishop of Rome leads Rome to deeper into heresy, pray he doesn’t end TLM ex cathedra. If he does, the only liturgy any excommunicated Roman will find will be in a confessional Lutheran or Anglican/Episcopal church.

It's important to understand that this is who these people ARE. The music, the corny jokes, the emotional political general intercessions, the popular and praise music, the bubbles, the banner on the altar, the improvisation, the entire ethos and style and mode. This is BOOMERS. This is who they are. If you'll notice, most of these people who are dancing and enthusiastic are not going, but rather they are old. The person to blame for this is Blase Cupich, and ultimately "Pope" Francis. Either of them could stop this with the stroke of a pen or one phone call. But what a lot of commenters don't seem to understand is, even if you attend a TLM in some diocese that is "approved by Rome", you are expressing communion of faith and worship witn the people in this video. You are saying "I share the same faith as these people, and they share the same faith as me".

As a former evangelical Protestant, I would not be attending any Catholic Mass of this kind! I attend the Novus Ordo as Latin Masses are scarce where I live. However, the Mass that I attend is totally opposite this. The song at the start was.written by a Christian band called Delirious? The song is I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever. When I was an evangelical Protestant, we sang this every Sunday morning.
I completely disagree with liturgical dancing also. I did enough dancing in church in my Protestant days and this sort of dancing was encouraged at the services I once attended.
Whenever I see liturgical abuse evident, I always ask myself if the parishioners truly believe in the Real Presence of Christ or not. I, for one, definitely believe in the Real Presence of Christ.

Trying to give the best spin on the priest's use of the term "energy," I thought it might be possible that he was using it in a Byzantine "Palamite" way, but I HIGHLY doubt it.

“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬
If this is not the parish for you, nobody is forcing you to attend their services. Instead of spending your time criticizing other people’s parishes, why not go out and help those in need, pray, or do something kind for your family? Let’s give those on the internet who are considering becoming Catholic or Christian a good impression of us. It pains me to see Christ followers using such hurtful language to a group of imperfect people worshipping the Lord with all their hearts. After all, we are all on the same team. Thanks for listening!

Why isn’t the sign language interpreter translating into all the languages? She is only signing ASL.

    • @KarenJSim

That's how you sign to convey the message to the Deaf. ASL is not English, Like Latin can't be transliterate verbatim. You interpret the message that is equivalent to the real message.

I am Deaf/HoH. We Deaf need an sign language interpreter to understand every spoken word in a mass.
I commented here before, I will repeat what I’ve said:
I have signed (American Sign Language) the readings and the voice interpreter ( I sign and he voice) and we both genuflect before we step up the altar to the ambo. We bow after when the reading was done. We walk down from the altar, turn to face the altar and genuflect again before returning to our seats in the pews. I don’t see this interpreter doing any bowing or genuflecting.
I add that this sign language interpreter is probably not Catholic. She is unintentionally not being reverent around the altar.
By the way, the “let’s rock & roll” by signing strumming a guitar and doing boogie and body language is appropriately conveyed the meaning of rock and roll even though it is irreverent. But that was ambiance of this Novus Ordo.

I would never go to this church. I'm Catholic.
I want to assist in the Holy sacrifice of the Mass.
If I wanted this nonsense I would've stayed protestant. I feel for these poor ppl. Mary wept & Jesus.
