Thanks for your 30 day review. I have had this for 2 weeks and so far I love it! I did however notice the back getting dirty. I have tried to clean after every roast or chicken airfry. That part, is my only issue!
Hi Ellen from the #GreatWhiteNorth 🇨🇦 ...... I purchased the Weiman Stainless Steel / Microwave oven cleaning wipes off of Amazon 🇨🇦. They are a two pack (one canister of each wipe) and I use them on the inside and outside once the Air Oven has cooled after each use. They are a HUGE help and really help to maintain the ovens cleanliness inside and out. I hope this helps. Boomer🎗
Assalam o alekum hi i want to know abot the durability, spcecial curious about this led panel, bcoz his panel has been fixed with door handle and in plastic form, please clarify the durability of his panel if its hits than break or some find of gorilla coating etc?
Just picked one up, but didn't watch your videos on the XL Pro until after I bought it. I haven't used it yet, but feel pretty good about it after watching your reviews. Keep up the great work!
I went down a wild rabbit hole trying to find the right toaster oven. I thought my decision was between the NuWave Bravo XL or Cruisinart Air Fryer. After watching a bunch of your videos you convinced me to get the Ninja Foodi instead. Thanks for all the in depth reviews of all of these toaster oven. I especially liked that you come off as very independent and you're just giving your honest opinion from all of your test. Thanks so much. Keep up the great work.
I really appreciate this review. Sometimes people review a product without testing it out. And you get both with your first video and this video. I watched both of them in full and I I have made my decision to buy this I do appreciate your video and thank you
I just bought this oven and all I can say is I love it!! I haven’t had it long enough to cook a whole bunch but everything I’ve cooked so far has come out amazing!! Love your channel btw!! 😊
hi Darnell thank you for the 30 day review but i must say you are the man for me i went out and done roast beef with roast potatoes you sure are right about that it came out perfect that was the first time i used it so thanks to you plenty more things to try now i have the confidence
Thanks for this video! I’ve been researching the comparisons for weeks and then I found you. Both videos were most helpful, providing exactly the info I was looking for. Again, thank you!
Thhank you for taking the work out of researching for me. I purchased the Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker & the Ninja XL Pro three days later. I just feel that each will provide me EXACTLY what I want when I use them. No I'm not a Pro at any of these (I leave that to you Guys) However now I have exactly what i need based on my cooking projects in the future. Thanks.
After all is said and done your opinions have convinced me to purchase the Ninja. Thank you for the time you’ve spent on the comparisons in each category.
Your content is super helpful. It's like you're the guru of airfryers on the internet. I was looking at the cuisinart toa-65 and the model up from this one Ninja offers, it gives you the smart options and thermometer probe. I even was side eyeing ninja foodi sp101 but ruled that one out fairly quick with only the two remaining I mentioned above. I honestly was going to order both the cuisinart are this guy and take back whichever didn't work as well for our family of four. I still may for grins but I believe you have solved my searching and that your findings are what mine would be. You've more than earned subscribe and likes from me sir.
Great video! Helped me make the decision on which oven to buy. BTW, I think you should do a “Best cooker of 2022/2023” video, I think it would be very popular!
Thank you so much for your complete review. I have been struggling for some time over which air fryer oven to get, and have read numerous reviews that just made picking one even more confusing. Based on your overall review, I have definitely decided to go with the Ninja in which I happen to love their products anyway. Wonderful job on breaking down every aspect of this product. Again, thank you!
Thank you for this excellent Very well done follow up 30 day review. I have been thinking of picking this up and have been looking for reviews like this!! Well done!!! Be safe!
Thank you for this very detailed review. We were searching for a new air fryer oven after the control knob on our less than one year old Cuisinart failed. The Cuisinart cooked very well but the control knob is notoriously confusing and unreliable. Would not recommend. Thanks to Costco for a generous return policy. Anyway, the Ninja wasn’t even on our radar until we watched your review. We just received our Ninja last night and after unboxing I can already tell it’s much better quality than Cuisinart, and way more spacious inside. And the controls are simple buttons and straightforward to use. It is a bigger unit on the counter but we knew that going in because of the detailed measurements you provided. We’ll get a lot of use out of this for sure. Thank you!
Excellent review. I like the way you get to the point and include all the stuff we want to know. Large conventional ovens were popular when energy was cheap and family ate supper at the dinner table at the same time.
Have done a lot of research and after this video, I am buying the Ninja Pro Air Fryer DT 251. I hope I am as pleased with it as the measles received in all the videos. It should be on my door step tomorrow !!! Can’t wait to play !!!
I got the Cuisinart digital air fryer/toaster oven through a major warehouse store for a great price as I want to upgrade to my first air fryer. Once I unboxed it, I was disappointed to find the interior oven space smaller than my current Breville toaster oven. If anything, I at least want equal oven size but prefer larger size. So, this video review was very helpful to me to return the Cuisinart and instead purchase the Ninja oven. It should arrive in a few days! I appreciate the thoroughness of your review to include factors I wouldn’t have considered such as smoke or fan noise. I think the Ninja will be a great full featured oven at a perfect size.
Great review and touching on many aspects of the appliance. Unfortunately there is no auto pause when opening the door and the machine is fairly loud when compared to others.
That was a very helpful review, thanks a bunch! I'm 90% sure I watched your initial review already, but I think I'll add it to my 'Watch Later' list and watch it again to prepare for when mine arrives.
Great detailed review! I am a new viewer and subscriber. I've been binge watching for the last week. We are looking for our first air fryer-toaster. Your reviews are so helpful and I am looking forward to using your recipes.
Hi Shoushana from 🇨🇦. (I left this message above for another viewer so thought I’d repeat it for others considering this oven). Take a look on Amazon 🇺🇸 and put in Ninja DT251 SMART Foodi XL Pro Air Oven and they’ll bring up the hard to find new Smart version with an intuitive thermometer $299 USD and give you the option for the one Darnell has on her which is the Ninja DT201 Foodi XL Pro Air Oven on sale right now for $239 (Amazon 🇺🇸). Amazon.com is the ONLY place you can find the SMART version, it’s not even available from Shark Ninja yet and after numerous phone conversations with them they don’t know when or if it will be. I ordered it on the Amazon 🇺🇸 site from Canada bcuz one thing for sure is that the Smart version will NOT be made available in the land of #CanuckleHeads. You can find a couple of reviews of the new Smart Version available on TH-cam but don’t take long, they are hard to get. You’ll have to decide whether having the Smart Version (that shuts itself off when the meat has reached it preset internal doneness), is worth the extra $60. I guess it depends on how much meat, fish and baking you think you’ll make in it. Good luck, hope this helps. Boomer🎗
I’ve had mine for a few weeks and I LOVE it so much. I baked cinnamon rolls, roasted a chicken, air fried waffle fries, toasted bagels and English muffins and even made mini omelettes one morning. This is yet another quality Ninja product. Love my Ninja 3-1 cooker, my Ninja Foodi Grill, Ninja Blender and now this big bad boy. I don’t need my regular oven anymore.
Assalam o alekum hi i want to know abot the durability, spcecial curious about this led panel, bcoz his panel has been fixed with door handle and in plastic form, please clarify the durability of his panel if its hits than break or some find of gorilla coating etc?
Mine is coming Monday (Dec 7). I have used my regular Ninja air fry oven for a year and I adore it. But I think this one will be even more useful since it's so much taller.
Excellent video. I decided on this one mainly as a function of your review - so thank you very much! Something that I’ve had mixed success with is cooking mozzarella sticks - the frozen ones. There are quite tricky to cook - seems like they always end up exploding. I’ve gotten close by preheating the air fryer, and really watching them as they cook. There’s a fine line between undercooked, just right, and exploded. I have not tried it in this new air fryer. Thanks.
You sold me. I purchased Ninja Foodi airocook xl pro. Canelled coscoi brand or what ever it is called. Worried about smoke you mentioned. To receive my Ninja this Tuesday. Appreciate your reviews.
Walmart finally got it in stock and I picked it up today. Awesome luck. Priced $80 less than Amazon and about 115 cheaper than kohl’s. Got it for 197. Super excited and not as big as I was expecting. Not as wide as our old black and decker toaster oven. Crazy how fast it preheats! Thanks again for the review!
i just won one up for 22 bucks at a local auction cause the handle is loose. pretty sure i can figure out how to fix it definitely worth 22 bucks to try. i get to pick it up tomorrow
If you pay attention you’ll see that if a unit is priced so much lower it is sometimes actually a slightly lesser model with less features. Take a look at the controls and you might spot some differences.
That won't be happening. What's the point? Same thing but it has a meat probe and cost more. For less you can get the one without a probe and buy a multiple meat probe separately. The way I see it, save and have the ability to track more than a single piece of meat 🙂.
Your review is super helpful! Excellent videos in your channel! I wonder how can I set the temp to 80 degree to proof as there isn’t an actual proof function button and every function has a temp range and their lowest all seems to be above 80. Thank you!
Thank you for your excellent review very comprehensive and informative. I am new to this type of cooking and in the process of deciding which one to purchase. I have a question? When in bake or roast mode does it also do convection cooking? Thanks again
Glad I found you. U were very informative about this appliance. I was told u could place a grill plate in this oven to grill. Please try the grill plate and let me know what u think. Thanku looking forward to ur cooking in this oven.
Thanks for the follow up review. When using the BAKE setting, can the fan be used to create a convection oven effect? How does the AIRFRY function compare to a conventional drawer/basket Airfryer? Thanks again!
I left a message above for Darnell but I’ll,et you know this. I had a different Air Fry oven which was HIGHLY rated as one of the top 5 in the world and I changed it for the ninja which was a GREAT decision. The Ninja Foodi XL Pro Air Oven has what’s called #SurroundHeatTechnology which means no opening the door and shaking the basket to make the fries etc move around or taking out a spatula or tongs to toss the food. It’s far superior to most if not all other Air Fryers. Hope this helps. Boomer🎗
I have somewhat a little bit of faith considering this vid was made in 2020, maybe they updated the model and hopefully fixed the problems. Thanks for the video, gonna tell my family which air fryer we should buy :D
My biggest worry with ninja is the cleaning inside the oven there is such a lot of bad experiences of how difficult it is to clean, how do you find it please?
Hi I'm looking on Amazon right now to buy one in this is the 2nd time I saw 1 of your reviews which looks very favourable I just want to know about the dehydrating ability of this I want I just subscribe to your TH-cam channel so maybe I'll catch more of it Thanks good job
@@WaveOvenRecipes I'm not sure what you're implying here. I was suggesting a different device for you to review and that includes a review that I've already seen?
@@WaveOvenRecipes that's fine, I was suggesting additional content for you, to help grow for channel. I guess you're not interested in that, so I won't make any more friendly suggestions to help you grow. I'll keep my friendly suggestions to myself.
Here in Mexico I can only get this Ninja product imported paying 360 dollars. The cuisinart digital air fryer is 240 dollars, is the diference in performance big enough to pay 50% extra? Your videos are very helpful.
Loved the follow up. Hopefully, you'll review the Instant Omni or Omni Plus in the near future. The Omni Plus has a lot of similar features to the Ninja. The Omni is super inexpensive at Wal-Mart right now. 🤷🏾♂️
I was considering those, but other cookers consumed my time. And general consumer interest in them has faded. I won't say never, but analysis shows low ROI for me going there now. I'm not saying they're inferior, but I am saying it's not going to get the ROI to move any TH-camrs doing research to review them now. Hope you don't mind that I am equally as honest in comments as I am in my reviews.
Outstanding 30-day review with all the tips-&-tricks ... I ordered the DT201 from Ninja's website and received it 2-days later. Finally got it unboxed and setup and currently trying the Air Fry 2-stage method using chicken wings and fries while I am watching this video. I basically bought this for Air Frying, Whole Roast and the wife to bake in. I do not plan to use the Broil feature as I have a Ninja Foodi Grill which I use for steaks, mostly rib-eye which gives a great sear on the steaks. I really appreciate the tip for pizza's. One thing I wanted to mention my DT201 from Ninja direct came 'without' the air fan guard and no hardware for one. I called Ninja and they told me the DT201 does not have any such guard and when I told them I have watched videos on TH-cam with such a guard, they did not any clear answers. I guess they changed the design but you would think they could provide a better answer than they did, except to say there is no such guard. Guess that all I have to say for now. Thanks Darnell !!!
😲 You can see it came in my unboxing. th-cam.com/video/FWNN5PJ_W9k/w-d-xo.html And it's mentioned in the manual too as standard. I don't know what changed, but I hope the fan doesn't get dirty without it.
@@WaveOvenRecipes I know, it freaked me out as I watched your unboxing video and when my DT201 in came without any fan guard or mounting hardware bracket for the screen guard fan, I was like 'WTH' and with no mention in the manual I thought maybe someone was sleeping on the assembly line and I received a bad unit. I did my first cook last night chicken wings and fries at the same time using the 2-Level Air Fry Function and everything came out nice and none with golden crispy fries using the air fry basket for the fries (no burnt fries), so no problems there. I guess time will tell if removing the screen guard cover on the oven by Ninja was a good or bad move on Ninja's part. Thanks Darnell for everything you do; I really enjoy and reference your videos a lot..!!!
@@terrydrawbaugh9711 I ordered one, had to return it as it had rust on the front. It had a guard. The brand new replacement I received today doesn't have the guard. Seems they changed the design.
Hello and thank you for another detailed review of your cook appliance. I’ve watched several of your videos on various cook appliances. What do you do with all of the appliances that you purchased, used, and reviewed?
One thing I dont think was mentioned is the fact that the 90 sec preheat is not a real preheat. It takes over 5 mins to reach a high temp (maybe more I am going off memory from another review). I still think I will probably get one though, everyone seems to like it.
Thank you, sir! I just purchased this Ninja Foodi XL Pro Air Fry and I hope to like it. It looks like the best Air Fryer Toaster Oven combination. But I need you to tell me I did the right thing because I REALLY liked the Emeril Lagasse a lot on pictures/videos I've watched! I loved the slicker, elegant look, but it seems like it might take a lot longer to cook? What do you think? Anyone here tried Emeril Lagasse 26 QT Extra Large Air Fryer, Convection Toaster Oven with French Doors, Stainless Steel? Also: the "slick" French doors seem like they could disperse lots of energy and heat. What are your thoughts? Another thing: The Lagasse only "looks" more roomy than the Ninja, but actually the inside is exactly the same size.
Hi, I had the Ninja Foodi XL Pro Air Oven since 12/21 and in the beginning it was fabulous, but then it started smoking every time I cooked something regardless if I cleaned after every use...which is a pain. I finally returned it to Costco and got back on social media to see what was the best air fryer out there for 2022 and no matter where I looked the Kalorik Maxx kept popping up with excellent reviews. I get mine on 3/16/22 and I'm looking forward to a cooking in a 'smokeless" air fryer grill.
Hi - can you please mention the model number? There are so many of these that are so similar and I'm not even sure this model is still available these days. Your reviews are great. Thank you!
Model number, is in the video description of the initial review. th-cam.com/video/FWNN5PJ_W9k/w-d-xo.html That, is usually where I have model number details.
You will not find one with the fan guard. Unless at a 2nd hand store. And even there, your odds are super low. I don't even think the model number changed when they removed it. Since so few were released with a fan guard.
@@WaveOvenRecipes Actually, no mention of the model # in description. 😕 It looks like it says DT200 on the owner's manual in the video but it was hard to make out. The referral link in the description leads to an Amazon ad that shows a DT201, which does not feature a guard over the fan so I was still wondering if it's the same model. Anyway, I just want to be careful as you mentioned this unit was fairly quiet while there are so many fan noise complaints about Ninja models similar to this.
Hi Darnell, I wonder if you can tell me which of these you prefer, the Emeril Lagasse Power Air Fryer 360 XL, or the Ninja Foodi XL Pro Air Fry Oven or maybe a comparison review. Thank you.
Darnell! If you had to choose between the ninja 10-in-1, emeril power airfryer 360 xl, and the cuisinart chef’s convection oven, regardless of price, which one would you choose?
Thanks for your 30 day review. I have had this for 2 weeks and so far I love it! I did however notice the back getting dirty. I have tried to clean after every roast or chicken airfry. That part, is my only issue!

That won't be happening. What's the point? Same thing but it has a meat probe and cost more. For less you can get the one without a probe and buy a multiple meat probe separately. The way I see it, save and have the ability to track more than a single piece of meat 🙂.
great advise. how do i find the original review on this

Your review is super helpful! Excellent videos in your channel! I wonder how can I set the temp to 80 degree to proof as there isn’t an actual proof function button and every function has a temp range and their lowest all seems to be above 80. Thank you!
Accept you can't 🙂
Excellent video!!! How about the outcome of casseroles?

Thank you for your excellent review very comprehensive and informative. I am new to this type of cooking and in the process of deciding which one to purchase. I have a question? When in bake or roast mode does it also do convection cooking?
Thanks again
My best recommendation, is to look at the results.

Glad I found you. U were very informative about this appliance. I was told u could place a grill plate in this oven to grill. Please try the grill plate and let me know what u think. Thanku looking forward to ur cooking in this oven.
I prefer to use the Ninja Foodi Grill for grilling. You can get any grill plate from Amazon if you want to use a grill plate in it.
Since it has been a little over a year since you made this video, would you still consider this to be the best one?
Great info! Thank you.
I am surprised the white letters on the buttons haven't worn off, mine wore off within the first 2 weeks ?

Helped a lot bud. Thanks
My biggest worry with ninja is the cleaning inside the oven there is such a lot of bad experiences of how difficult it is to clean, how do you find it please?
Impossible to clean.
Thank you for sharing..
Awesome 👌
Hi I'm looking on Amazon right now to buy one in this is the 2nd time I saw 1 of your reviews which looks very favourable I just want to know about the dehydrating ability of this I want I just subscribe to your TH-cam channel so maybe I'll catch more of it Thanks good job
I'd love to see you review the Galanz Toast wave microwave air fryer
th-cam.com/video/Bk04Mh5NYS0/w-d-xo.html
@@WaveOvenRecipes I'm not sure what you're implying here. I was suggesting a different device for you to review and that includes a review that I've already seen?
Thanks, I'll stick with the Breville 🙂
@@WaveOvenRecipes that's fine, I was suggesting additional content for you, to help grow for channel. I guess you're not interested in that, so I won't make any more friendly suggestions to help you grow. I'll keep my friendly suggestions to myself.
Lord willing things here will be just fine. Happy Thanksgiving.
Here in Mexico I can only get this Ninja product imported paying 360 dollars. The cuisinart digital air fryer is 240 dollars, is the diference in performance big enough to pay 50% extra?
Your videos are very helpful.
Thank you for the 30 follower ups. Those help a lot.
My girlfriend got me this for Christmas and I love it. I used to make salmon in my oven but now I use this and it takes me 1/3 of the time to cook.
😲
You can see it came in my unboxing.
th-cam.com/video/FWNN5PJ_W9k/w-d-xo.html
And it's mentioned in the manual too as standard.
Thanks for both reviews on this cooker. I see a lot of people complain about the lettering wearing off. Have you experienced that?
No, see my latest video.

Hello and thank you for another detailed review of your cook appliance. I’ve watched several of your videos on various cook appliances. What do you do with all of the appliances that you purchased, used, and reviewed?
Let's just say I have only ever returned 2 🙂
Excellent review and comparable.
One thing I dont think was mentioned is the fact that the 90 sec preheat is not a real preheat. It takes over 5 mins to reach a high temp (maybe more I am going off memory from another review). I still think I will probably get one though, everyone seems to like it.
You need to watch the initial review.
th-cam.com/video/FWNN5PJ_W9k/w-d-xo.html
@@WaveOvenRecipes Sure but the quick preheat was mentioned in this video as a pro. Maybe it is quick but you referenced it as 90 second.
I covered it all and how I feel about it.
Another thing: The Lagasse only "looks" more roomy than the Ninja, but actually the inside is exactly the same size.
th-cam.com/video/jmpWZCLteXM/w-d-xo.html
Thank You
Thank you for your review. I just bought this ninja air fryer. I am puzzled the the one I purchased does not have a fan guard in the back??
They changed it
Oh ok thank you for your response 😊 appreciated
Hi, I had the Ninja Foodi XL Pro Air Oven since 12/21 and in the beginning it was fabulous, but then it started smoking every time I cooked something regardless if I cleaned after every use...which is a pain. I finally returned it to Costco and got back on social media to see what was the best air fryer out there for 2022 and no matter where I looked the Kalorik Maxx kept popping up with excellent reviews. I get mine on 3/16/22 and I'm looking forward to a cooking in a 'smokeless" air fryer grill.
th-cam.com/video/nvZQYLq0494/w-d-xo.html
Hi. please provide an update on the kalorik.
Now I am torn between this Ninja and the Emeril 360XL! DECISIONS! DECISIONS!!😜
Hi - can you please mention the model number? There are so many of these that are so similar and I'm not even sure this model is still available these days. Your reviews are great. Thank you!
Model number, is in the video description of the initial review.
th-cam.com/video/FWNN5PJ_W9k/w-d-xo.html
That, is usually where I have model number details.
@@WaveOvenRecipes Okay, thank you! Hope I can still find one. Looks great!
@@WaveOvenRecipes Okay. Many thanks!
Hi Darnell, I wonder if you can tell me which of these you prefer, the Emeril Lagasse Power Air Fryer 360 XL, or the Ninja Foodi XL Pro Air Fry Oven or maybe a comparison review. Thank you.
What are some toaster oven that sees that compensates for a hot tempeature for what you said about the toast?
Hey, thanks for the review my brother.. I watch all your videos..
Have you seen the GoWISE USA 14.7-Quart Air Fryer Grill With Dual Heating elements..
First I have heard of it and after having a look I can't say it catches my interest at this time.
Darnell! If you had to choose between the ninja 10-in-1, emeril power airfryer 360 xl, and the cuisinart chef’s convection oven, regardless of price, which one would you choose?
sir you have any turkey recepies

With the tight door , there wasn’t any issues with your meat probe wires? Great review!!

You say that you take the cover off each rime when air frying and put it in the dishwasher with the basket. How do you take the air fryer cover off?
