I'm going to be adjusting several Orient's today. Haven't seen one that doesn't run 20+ seconds fast, but its easily remedied. The burgundy is the real winner here today IMO.
I saw this last year, and I know I must get my hands on this timepiece. Bought the black gold one as well, but sold it off few months back. Will definitely continue to keep this in my collection for sure.
I'd buy one, if I could find a red one for a decent price. They're harder to find, and sell at a premium to the other colors when you do. Orient, please make more of them.
The Mako and Ray 2 have the same crown. The problem isn't the crown size as such(5.8mm), the gen 1 Mako and Ray have the same diameter/size. It's the crown width, they made the crown narrower compared to the first gen watches (3.5mm vs 4 mm) and it's noticeable. Trying to see if the gen 1 crown is compatible with the gen 2 cases but might take a while
The Kamasu is an amazing watch, but the crown size is a definitely an issue. I can't screw it down without using my shirt or a polishing cloth. Also I have the red one, and I agree, they nailed the color.
Thank you for posting R.Rob. Personally I have size XX2 hands. I have been on honeymoon with my Orient Kamasu for the last 3 days, and have been "compulsively" winding it. I will admit, it it not as smooth as my "grail" Oris Aquis cal 400, but really not that bad either. Another constant gripe I hear is the bracelet is low quality. But in all honesty, I've yet to notice it. I have 2 more Kamasus on order. I have to say in my 3 day review, it has been keeping time as well as my iPhone (Oh MY!). Yeah, I may have a gripe to think about (the teal maybe a little too dark), but I'll try to keep that to myself. Wanna good watch? Buy Orient Kamasu. Wanna get hosed? Buy Swedish. (Oh but ain't that where them Rolexes come from)??
Mine is 1028. I’m wearing it everyday at the moment. It’s a torch at night. The pink and violet hues are beguiling in the right light. I also have the petrol green, but want that red dial as well lol. They are all so damn good looking 😎.
I thoroughly agree ,great watch but fickle crown action to the point mine flew off.(bugger to replace by the way,few service outlets) .but if they made one without the crown guards and a tad bigger it'd be a clear winner or more so.
I have serial number 0072/2000, the mother of pearl dial is just beautiful and on this side of the pond they have really shot up in price since they were released in 2018. I paid around 300€ for mine, now they are trending on eBay for upwards of 600€. The last one which were sold on eBay here went for 590€. So they have definitely taken off on the second "hand" market. But mine isn't worn, as I hate the crown and the threading on the the crown, it's a pain in the butt, so I will eventually sell mine as it's deal-breaker for me.

I have the red Kamasu and love it. I also have the now discontinued white face Mako USA II and a Triton blue face. I love Orient... pound for pound the best watch for your dollar.
Great vid 👌. That blue dial is nice. Hands down the blood red dial is 10x more attractive for me. I have 30+ blue Dial watches and am looking for other color ways. Keep 'em coming, RR.

Nefarion My Ray II does about +7 a day but my Kamasu does close to +20. I don’t have the heart to check my other Orients, honestly 😂

I love my Kamasu (blue) I've had it one month now. It is a spectacular watch regardless of the price. Just a quality watch all around.

Mine is the standard blue and I really love it. You are spot on though the crown lets it down, but only a bit.

I have the green kamasu. It's such a fantastic shade of green.
That LE one looks badass. But I got the black one just cause I prefer a more ‘timeless’ and ‘under the radar’ look.
I love my Ray2....its been a great beater diver watch...keeps on ticken no matter what I throw at it

Ray Han but 41.5mm isn’t to small on a 7.8” wrist. I could bulk up but @ 6’4” 230 I don’t need the extra weight.
Have the Mako USA, like the watch a lot, hate the crown. I have big fingers and it is a p.i.t.a. to operate.

Also, the SKX is no contender to the Kamasu. The Kamasu is a better watch in nearly every way imo
