No the biggest problem is when Boeing went from Product by engineers to Product by Marketers. Quality plummeted. Why does YT censor me?

DEI is the problem with Boeing and upper management is responsible for that BS! You hire the best people you can get for aerospace industry and DEI be damd! Anyone with half a brain can understand that!

I got censored as well for stating the truth. I assumed I was still in the US where freedom of speech used to be protected.

It is dangerous to catch a failing competitor's company, as you may get infected by their failures. This happened to Boeing.

With NASA and the FAA protecting them...follow the money.

Can’t put all the blame on McDonnell Douglas, Boeing “bought” them.

    And then came McDonnell Douglas.

For Apollo Boeing's contributions were limited to building the first stage of the Saturn V (basically 2 big tanks and a shell) and installing 5 engines designed and built by Rocketdyne.
They had no involvement with the CSM or the LM.

You badly underestimate the engineering requirements when engineering something like the Saturn V! The whole assembly is a dynamic structure with three stages that must not fall apart when mighty explosions in the three engine rooms shake them to the stress limit.

@@brianletter3545 As long as the rocket didn't fail before dropping the first stage, Boeing couldn't care less.

For a space channel you’d think you could at least spell ‘astronaut’ correctly!
