Just a reminder to viewers as it wasn’t clearly explained: the Kia Stinger and Genesis G70 are mechanically similar, using the same chassis, engine, transmission, etc. North American Stingers got a 3 hp power increase whereas the G70 for our market does not.

Excellent review! I agree...the Stinger is and always will be a super special vehicle. I sure it will be reincarnated in an upcoming EV but it is such a solid all-around vehicle. Styling, ride, handling, practicality. Would love to own one down the road too.. Keep up the amazing work!

Thanks for the comment! I'd love to have been able to snag a 2023 Tribute Edition, but we had lots of fun with the Stingers we drove over the years.

Kinda like a stinger? Mechanically, they are identical with the exception of the suspension being tuned a little bit more on the sporty side for the G70. Their engines, brakes and transmission are the exact same. In their top trim, they have the same feature and technology available. The G70 was more expensive because of the slightly better interior (allegedly) when the stinger was still on sale in 2023. Oh and they were at the time 55K for a GT elite, I know it's what I paid for mine.

Yes that's true, mechanically speaking they are almost identical.

Victor recently drove the GV80, and James did the GV80 Coupe not long ago.

If I were you, I’d wait until Genesis releases the new 27-inch OLED instrument cluster.
Personally, between Genesis and Kia Stinger , I prefer the Stinger because of its hatchback design. It’s a shame Kia discontinued it.

Definitely is a shame the Stinger is gone, but it had it's time. It'll be interesting to see what the next generation G70 will look like. We recently featured the 2025 GV80 and imagine it'll take a lot of queues from that.
