I love this foundation and it worked well with my RCMA powder and CT concealer. So happy you kind of liked it too! I know it broke down after several hours, but it looked pretty on you.

Good idea! I don't feel like my 48 yr old lips can do liquid lipstick, but maybe I'm wrong. Maybe there is a good formula out there for us?

Thanks Shelley. Check this one off. Can’t do dry. I have been liking the Jeffery Star peach color corrector. The concealer and powder was too Dry for me. Curious what you think? Also...the Givenchy Teint Couture Everwear foundation I thought I liked it, I have been using the sample and maybe I should use the bottle I have instead. Maybe the sample is breaking down? I'm about to review the new Nyx tinted moisturizer and I have high hopes for it! I usually end up just sheering out a foundation with moisturizer. The CYO Lifeproof works really well for that. Revlon PhotoReady Candid sheers out beautifully as well.
Maybe a super dewy setting spray, and/or a dewy & hydrating primer?

Yep I'm thinking the ABH dewy set is going to work well for this one, with all the glycerin. I've only got a half acre but it backs up to the back of a horse farm, so there are woods for quite some distance back (I can't see the end of the woods from my house). It's so relaxing! I love all of the green :)
So so sorry that it had issues! I’m super dry as well and pretty light-toned so not crazy about it darkening at the hairline. It reads perfectly on the website, so how could anything be that perfect? Anyway, I’ll wait before ordering. I’d like to know how the Pur 4-in-1 Selfie foundation works as well as the NYX Bare With Me tinted moisturizer. I’m just into light coverage lately. Yeah...drying formulations are a 'no-go' for me as well. I tried Dermacol foundation awhile back because I got suckered in with You Tubers talking (and demonstrating) how awesome the coverage was. So I bought some, tried it...yes, it did cover well. But by that night my skin was so flippin' dry and tight, I just couldn't. Waste of money. Have you tried it before, Shelly?
I've since been using Clarins Skin Illusion. I love it, it makes my skin feel so nice and looked after. I've got the Porcelain shade, which is nice...but sometimes it seems a teeny tad bit dark. I'm able to tame it down a bit with my finishing powder though. I might purchase the lightest shade they have and mix it... although I'm not sure it's a cool undertone, like Porcelain. I'm like you, mainly a cool undertone...sometimes I can do neutral, depending on the shade.
I know you reviewed that Clarins foundation...but I can't find it on the spreadsheet. Am I overlooking it somehow?
I haven't tried the Dermacol (in fear of drying!) Skin Illusion is so comfortable!
@@goow I wouldn't waste your money on Dermacol. I'd skip it, it just wasn't comfortable at all.
I've been very impressed with the Clarins. It doesn't feel like foundation at all...it feels like moisturising skincare, which is excellent. I have rosacea and my skin flares up so much. I wish I had all the money back I wasted on crap I couldn't use over the years. I'd have a hefty bank account!

Love the eye look Shelly!! Foundation though.... Not a fan of the hairline/drying/microlines thingies, but I really quite like the undertone - with the exception of the wierd hairline bizzo, it actually DOES look like it's a truly cool pink and not that horrid orange "drugstore pink". Price is a tad high for something so finicky though (specially once exchange rates & international shipping come into effect) - I don't want to have to mess around finding just the right moisturisers, primers, etc to get it work well. I'm a tad Scroogey I know, but I'd rather spend the under $20 and try the Revolution Drops from the UK than the near on $71 to get this one from the US.
Why do so many drugstore pink undertones look more like peachy-pink?! They always go orange on me! Mysteries of the world, apparently!
There is nothing worse than wearing a foundation that feels so dry.....it really looks pretty even at the end of the day..strange around the hairline! Try a drop of oil or hydrating spray, maybe they would help.....

Regarding the hairline darkening, that’s strange, but I have a theory... isn’t oxidation in foundation a reaction of the foundation with oils in our skin? Which is supposed to be why some people have issues with one kind and other people don’t with the same product? Maybe it’s reacting just to either the natural oils in your hair, or your hair products and that’s why it’s darker just around there. Can’t say for sure, of course, just a theory! Thanks again! 😊

I actually thought this one looked kind of cakey-ish on me. It was just OKAY. Not bad, not great. Just perfectly fine. Not worth the price tag for me. Believe beauty foundation was better for $5. Maybe ad a drop of oil and try that?? I will have to try it myself. Or maybe mix with a tinted moisturizer?
I've heard a few people enjoy this one mixed. I haven't tried any mixing yet! The Believe is a knockout for five bucks!

The finish is so pretty, but it does look like it oxidized. If that's the second shade, they probably don't go light enough for me, but I'll swatch it at Ulta. The tight dehydrated thing is why I had to give up MAC Studio Fix Fluid as I got older.
Ugh, you're probably right. I'm so pale I just can't do oxidation. I need a pale color to stay true.
I'm so confused because apparently you can get all 6 formulas in any of the 51 shades, but neither the UOMA web site nor Ulta makes that clear (and as far as Ulta goes, they don't understand it themselves, because I'm now thinking that they just sent me the wrong formula thinking they're all the same, when I did order the purple cap formula - but their site also doesn't have all formulas available to choose for all shades). So if I can find a way to get the purple cap version in this shade, it may be more hydrating.

I think what I really need with this foundation is to get the proper formula. Ulta made it very hard to pick the right one and the blue cap is not the one for dry skin.

😟 It was so pretty at first, and the whole thing seemed to be perfect for my Scandinavian skin ( I look like I'm one of the vampyres from Twilight) 😊. But It looks as it oxidiced in daylight, and not only at the hairline. And my skin is pretty dry as well. And again please have patience with me, and tell me what B+ would be on a scale from 1-10.
Oooh yes! (I swear I am meaning to include numbers in the reviews!) Out of 10, the scale would be:
A 9.4 - 10
A- 9 - 9.3
B+ 8.7 - 8.9
B 8.4 - 8.6

Thinking you have chosen a foundation pale enough, only to have it oxidise is so frustrating!
I found it interesting how on the Ulta website, color shades were displayed dark to light for this foundation.
The UOMA web site is arranged that way, too, which makes me think the manufacturer gets to choose how they're displayed.

Is there a possibility that the oil in your hair could cause the oxidation? Not to say you have oily hair...that thought kept going through my mind during the whole video. Otherwise...what kind of thing could cause such a thing. Now I’m invested🤣

I was wondering if maybe I hadn't blended my skincare at the hairline well enough (you know how you kind of just try to avoid getting stuff in your hair but sometimes it abruptly stops with too much product there? Maybe that's just me!) and something in my skin care was reacting with it.

Tip for makeup in the hair line......use a new toothbrush for this.....I comb my hair edges everyday I use makeup to ensure I don’t have makeup in my hair. Works great for me been doing it for 20 years

It did look very smooth on you , but I think it's your face because most all of them look good on you . For me, if I use hyaluronic acid products , I have to spritz them with water ( I use rose water) after it settles into my skin, otherwise my skin will get dried out too( same with glycerin ) hyaluronic acid & glycerin can & will absorb so much moisture from the air , but if there isn't enough moisture , they'll draw it out of your skin & because of that , for me the best thing is a little spritz of rose water. ( I also found out that oil , which I used to use a lot of, is smoothing & softening , but not moisturizing ) anyway it was nice looking on your skin , & I was surprised at how long it lasted.. my foundations rarely last past 4-5 hours. ( Rx store brands is probably why 😉)

For $39 you'd think it'd be less drying especially since it doesn't appear matte. It'll be interesting to see how this wears on oily skin. The hairline darkening is a first.

Im sorry I had to delete and repost this with accurate info. Are you sure you got the white pearl one? There is also a T2C with a blue cap. Its described as "Fair Lady T2C for fair skin w/ cool undertones". The one with the purple cap is also numbered as T2C but described as "White Pearl - T2C for very fair skin w/ cool undertones". Its confusing because they both have T2C in the name. If you go to ultas website page for this product and click "Find your perfect Uoma Beauty Say What?! Foundation shade!" under the details section of the product, you will see each one with each cap. I am thinking you saw that but may have picked up the wrong T2C shade. They really shouldn't of put the same code on different colors so I can see a lot of people picking up the wrong one thinking its the right shade.
I get that some alcohols are better than others. Why in Hades do companies put Denatured Alcohol in foundation and skin care?!?! My mom had some anti-aging skin care, I looked at the ingredients and there was D.A. I told her to toss it.
Considering how well products are able to work without denatured alcohol, I really can't figure out why it hasn't been eliminated - except maybe cost. It's a super cheap ingredient. :-/
I wanted to try this foundation SO bad, but it contains alcohol. Although it is about 2/3 down the ingredients list I still fear it would dry my already dry skin out even more.
Yeah I suspect that's what's going on with how drying it is on me, unfortunately. I'm still going to try to negate the drying with a different product combo but I rarely have much luck when something is this drying.

I am struggling so much with a foundation that doesn't make my pores look like crap. I'm just tired of spending$$$
That's where I wish Ulta gave foundation samples like Sephora does. It's impossible to tell how a product will perform on things like pores and texture until you actually try it, and it's so wasteful to purchase full sizes only to return them (not to mention, the hassle).

Nothing worse than a foundation that makes your already dry skin feel drier. Perhaps trying a hydrating facial spray such as Wet N Wild's coconut spray or the Mario Badesceu spray?
I'll check it out at Ulta. Wish they gave samples.

Looks like a hard pass. I prefer foundation to look virtually undetectable in my magnification mirror. That drying effect is a deal-breaker. It does look lovely from a distance though.
Yep it's one of those I'll probably keep around for filming but long wear, probably not. I'm hoping I can negate the drying a bit with a different combo of products but that rarely ends up being the case!
Oxidation alert! Not for me
Hi Shelly! (Sorry, this is a long comment.) What a confusing foundation; it dehydrates but becomes dewy. The only way this makes sense is that the foundation adheres to the skin and absorbs the water in every previously layered product (ie moisturizer, sunscreen & primer) as its drying then absorbs the tiny amount of water that’s in the upper layers of the skin. Thus, your skin feels dry & you develop microwrinkles. To add insult to injury, the foundation has little to no oil absorbing ingredients so the oil that is produced through the day starts to pool to give you the “dewy” look until it’s too much & then it’s just plain greasy.🤮 I’m a couple of yrs older than you, so we’ve both seen several trends & “buzz” words come, go, then come back again. I’m sorry but I just can’t get on board the “dewy” train - not when it’s oily! And, it’s definitely nowhere close to mimicking children’s skin because if you actually look at a child’s facial skin it isn’t oily!!! With this perspective (without marketing manipulation), “dewy” is just oil build up.🧐

No, no, no, wait! *PAUSE VIDEO* Hold on a a bloody second! Im not just worried about my foundation thinking, I'm worried about it thinking like my skin, which happens to have a mind of it's own,and more often than not is doing exactly the opposite of what I would like it to do. My skin currently thinks *"Wrinkles, adult acne, hyperpigmentation!"* Who wants their foundation to think like that??? NOT ME!! Im scare... 😨

I'm completely going against the grain based on the handful of reviews I've watched. First, I don't think anyone has gotten the formulat vs color explanation right. Every single one of the 51 colors comes in each of the 6 formulas. Doesn't matter what skin color you have and what Uoma has named each group, the key is to find the right formula since all colors come in all formulas. For instance, even though I'm white, my formul is in the Brown Sugar family (oily.combination). Trust me, I am NOT Brown Sugar in any possible way. But Brown Sugar coms in every color from fairest to darkets. VERY poor website. VERY. I am boycotting this brand not because of the poor explantion on the website but because they are very explicit of being inclusive of color, gender, size and age. Um, Llooking at the MANY photos on their website, I see no variation is size or AGE If you are going to use my demograhic (age) in your marketing, then I call BS! Not one photo of a mature beauty. Don't see any photos of "all sizes" either. I say she is simply taking advantage of the "inclusive" trend in foundation. I'm burning! She certainly has included every shade but BS on the websire and about inclusivity. Nope, she catered to colors, not age or size. I'm off my soap box. I actually made a rant video about this foundation and i rarely get up in arms about these things. Cheers, Lulu
Rant by all means but take into consideration this is a new baby brand., her definition of inclusivity could specifically be coming from complexion as she is creating a new product for the SKIN. It's not like a clothing label. Also have the same energy with these older brands who still offer 3-4 shades for brown girls.
