I saw someone else review this and she said it’s like the flawless filter in a stick, not a foundation. She uses it under foundation because of how shiny it is and little coverage. Seems misnamed.

I bought this right when it came out. I tried it a few ways. The best I found was to go very minimal as it looks very nice without multiple layers. I also found I like this over a slightly natural finish foundation. But less is a lot more.
I picked this up the other day in shade 2. According to the Sephora match thingy I should be 3, but when swatched 3 looked a bit yellow. 1.5 was too light. So the Sephora employee and I agreed 2 would be best. You and I are often similar shades so I'd be curious about 2 or 3 on you. I know it's sheer and the shades are allegedly flexible, but I think if you go too dark or too light or apply too much, that might be what causes the texture emphasis, makes the glow look unreal, etc.
I have only used fingers to spread, not a sponge or brush. But I like it a lot!!! I did powder my t-zone with Pat Mcgrath after. This is what I saw Wayne Goss do. I don't think it looks bad on you; I think you look great especially outside--but I'd powder it a bit.
I have to say I kind of like it for the summer, it looks fresh and glowy. Probably too glowy for you however, with my 63 year old skin, it may add some youthful looks. Thank you for the review.
I feel like this amount of shine will come in handy in Jan-March when my skin is so dry and nothing will give me a glow. I think it could work well for me if used strategically.
It's almost metallic--like you're headed to the Emerald City to ask the Wizard for a ❤ ✨ When the light bounces around that much, it isn't super flattering to hollows, puffs, and texture. Dewiness is a real art. This ain't it for me--loads of mica usually isn't. This would be such a nightmare in a Zoom meeting 😆 I thought some of my sunscreens were shiny (looking at you, R&R Sun Serum) but this is next level!
It looks gorgeous on you on camera, I wear it mixed in with a lightweight foundation and I like the mix, and I don’t need to use any highlight with it

Shine on Shelly! I have really been loving the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear 5-In-1 Foundation Stick. I know you reviewed the original version back in the day, but it was reformulated in 2021. For obvious rona reasons I never tried it until this year. It is a full coverage matte foundation that feels so lightweight, creamy and hydrating. I only use a minimal amount for medium coverage, but it’s definitely build able. You should give it another try if you have a lull in new releases. I know you will love the quick and easy application along with the blurring benefits of the matte finish.
I haven't purchased foundation since before COVID, but I've been thinking about refreshing what I have and had my eye on this one. You just saved me some money.
Hi Shelly! well the Tin Man look's not what I usually go for 😆 it seems like too much, but I like me some glow, just more subtle, I guess this product might look good under a more matte or satin finish foundation, but nothing you can't get with any other Hollywood Flawless Filter dupe 🤣 there's no need to spend that kind of money for the brand and the cute packaging, IMO you look good, a bit glazed donut-esque 😁 but maybe some powder around the nose and forehead would've toned the shine down ... and I just ordered the Thighteye using your discount code, can't wait to try it out, thnx! ... take care, say hi to Ziva... hugzzz 💜🤗

I’m not sure why CT calls that product a foundation? At any rate, there is not much product in that little tube, if one used it daily, it would go super fast! I’d like to see CT herself demonstrate it on her own skin for us! It might look wonderful on the likes of Hailey Bieber! Maybe UNDER foundation to take advantage of hydration and to prep the skin??? Or lightly on the high points of the face??? Hmmmm? Good demonstration though Shelly! Another good video, per usual! I have to agree with you. This foundation is just too glowy and give a bit of a tin man effect and looks a bit greasy. Maybe they'll do one without the glow with the same formula. I love that blush. I looked it up and I don't see it anywhere. I see the Serafphina Botanicals but the color Sunshine is no where to be found. Maybe Ipsy doesn't always send out new products.
Hi! I have this, I use a little bit of it under my foundation for a slight glow that peaks thru. It looks beautiful that way. Try it that way.

You can use eyelash glue to secure the clasp to the back of your neck. Wedding hack. Shelly, I’ve said it before, I 💕💗💕that light pink on you! Just absolutely perfect. I have a similar tunic style top that’s close to that thistle-y color, and I love it too! 🤓

Hi Shelly, I do the same as you in the store, finding a foundation I already use and swiping it to compare to products I’m checking out. I rather do this than put testers on my face. I had a hard time deciding between the Charlotte Tilbury foundation stick in shades 2, 3 and 4. I’m a touch darker than you and I went with shade 2, however, I think because the product is so sheer all three would’ve worked. Honestly, it was a big waste of money, but it was one of those fun purchases that I couldn’t resist. It’s like a shiny primer. Some people are saying it’s like the CT flawless filter in a stick.

I think it looks like a stick version of Charlotte's Hollywood Flawless filter. It looks so much like a highlighter. Would probably be beautiful as a base for a matte foundation, but I wouldn't spend that much on just a base for another foundation. The name says it all "unreal skin". Sorry to hear about your Jeep, Shelly.😖 Maybe it's time for a trade-in? Jeeps do hold their value, so it might be something to consider. Hope your DD game was a success! Since I leased my Jeep and then bought out the lease I'm about a year away from not being underwater on my loan. I am hoping the incentives on the plug in hybrids will still be there when I'm break-even on the loan because I'll probably look at trading it for a 4xe Jeep.

Now after watching your review I think I’ll use it as a highlighter instead of a foundation or maybe try the glazed donut look for once to check how I feel.

It seems this product does not melt into the skin, it kind of lies on top and just looks weird. I would stick with the Flawless Filter and totally skip this "foundation". So thanks, Shelley, for this review as I'm sure she's pricey. Love the Laura Geller eye shadow palette, however. Would love to watch you create some eye looks with this ❤

Helloooo, Shelly! I appreciate this review, as usual. I feel like CT really missed the mark with this one. Who is the intended target consumer? Can't be mature-skinned people. It seems to accentuate every nook and cranny and fine line.

I just got my yummy skin tint back out and idk why I ever stopped wearing g it bc my skin looks like perfection plump and juicy all day!!! The concealer is not good to me I’m gonna return it but the hourglass blush in scene is gorgeous perfection!!!! I also got Huda in Cotten candy it’s gorgeous but has glitter

I have seen a few other reviews and most feel like it is the Hollywood Flawless Filter in stick for and should be used the same way. I am oily, so I have no plan to purchase it, but it does look extremely shiny.

I get what you say about the donut glaze. Still I think you looked beautiful. I tried ot in Sephora, but the suggested shade didn't work for me. Nor did the lighter or darker shade.

I love this foundation!! I powder with Jones road powder in my t-zone and it looks amazing. The powder totally makes the glow look more subtle and lovely

Yikes!! A warm version of the Tin Man!! I agree with you Shelly 💯 too shiny!! You & I like most of the same foundations & have similar skin types. It even made you look like you have bags underneath your eyes ( which you definitely don’t ). It threw shadows in places I didn’t know existed lol.😂 You’re gorgeous as always, but a definite NO to that foundation. You & I like a little natural glow, but not a disco ball or human version of a PEARL. 🤭
Hi Shelly, Wanted to let you know by watching some other videos especially the one by Nikki Larose she explained that this stick is not a foundation but a stick form of the flawless filter and to use it all over under your makeup or just to highlight with it and instead of trying to tote the flawless filter bottle around this stick is much easier to put in your purse and for travel. I just wanted to give you a heads up about this stick.
I like the side that you used with the brush better too because it looked smoother.

I saw the same thing, but how are we expected to know that when they call it a foundation stick? Super bad marketing if that's the case. This does look exactly like Elf Halo Glow, which is the CT dupe for flawless filter.

Its giving me Data vibes from Star Trek! In my opinion, Charlotte Tilbury is the most over hyped brand out there...her foundations are not good, I have tried so many products from the range and being from the UK, we cannot take ours back! Your skin is looking amazing (without the foundation!) btw...are you doing anything different?
LOLOL Data 🤣 YES!!! As for my skin... I've been trying to find the sweet spot in exfoliation right now. I stopped for a while because I just wrecked my skin barrier exfoliating too much, and now I'm trying to get back into a routine without going too far... I still get peely here and there but knock on wood I think it's going OK!

I usually do not return them unless they're an absolute disaster. If it's a brand I buy regularly I'll keep it for swatch comparisons when future products come out. Then a couple times a year I go through all of my foundations and anything I haven't used or swatched since the last time gets put in a box and donated to Project Beauty Share, unless I have a friend or relative locally that would like it (which is rare because I'm paler than everyone I know). 🤣

Yep I haven't worn it that way yet but I did wear it the other day more as a bronzer/highlight area and it was lovely. I think it's best to think of it as a highlight rather than a foundation. But it feels lovely so I think it'd work as primer too.
all the reviews I've seen talk about the overly glazed look. I like a slightly dewy skin-like finish but not a glazed look.
Yep I love a dewy finish but when it leans into that white/silver glaze... I just can't do it 🤣
Besides magic cream which I refuse to buy bc the price is absolutely ridiculous but I do not like charlotte tilbury products…
Looks like an expensive melt-down in the middle of a heatwave. It is ridiculous how a well-known brand can put out anything these days, and it will generate sales anyway. MAC strobe cream is a cream, one can work with that formula combined with other formulas. But this is just a skin hued super shiny lipstick formulation marketed as foundation, all one can do is smear it around ad infinitum.
Wonder when it will be available for sale?

Yea, too glowy but not great glowy; it looks like you put oil over your skin first.
Ugh! That’s a greasy mess for my face. It just is flawless filter in a stick. I know what not to waste my money on. False advertisement if you ask me. It’s like she could slap foundation labels on flawless filter and people would still buy it just to say they got it. Not me. I’m informed first. From the reviewers on here. Did you not see other reviews?
But the texture part had your bronzer / blush on it. So it's hard to say which caused what? Or what if the combination of your bronze/blush (because of their formula) didn't work well with the foundation formula? Either way, i really really liked everything about it, in the outside shot. Your skin looked really good.
