Took me a while to watch the video. But love the detail and the fact that it’s step by step essentially. Hindsight is 20/20 but why did you do all the work on the head while it was on the floor vs on the mower? I’d think it would be easier to fasten everything other than maybe having to bend over some. Again, love the video and detail man! Great work.
They come up every blue moon but are so worth it to jump on it! As for your earlier question I did most of the work on the floor because I didn't want to loose anything into the block or get dirt into the cylinders. I figured rebuilding it on the floor would protect the head surface and also keep it sorta clean for install.
@@savingoldjunk7085 makes sense. I did like how you transferred everything over as you removed it. But yeah, it’s proving to be a chore. I know they’re out there at auctions all over too.

I’m shopping like crazy to find a deal like this myself but am proving to have a tough time finding a nice 725 or 900 series that doesn’t cost $15k+

Kubota and grasshoppers are the same mowers.
Are they the same? I thought grasshoppers had a special hydrostatic drive unit that no one else uses?
@@savingoldjunk7085they’re far from the same. Motors maybe, but everything else is entirely different.
@alexpegorsch7642 that's what I thought, but sometimes the people on the internet know best lol!
