I think the most important thisng is to get all the measurements exactly what a skyline is. Me personally hate fiberglass and bondo. This looks like a lot of hard work bro.
I did buy a scale model and measured it and scaled up the measurements ,I also have an app on the computer to measure the actual car based on the known wheel diameter of 18 inches to calculate all the body specs.
Bingo!! My hat is off to you, sir. It shows that you are truly an analytical thinker. It was no mystery of what I'm doing here all along. Fiberglass material is lighter than steel, and I also chose a lightweight body filler.
I can't find the "bondo" product online. Is it still made by Solution Systems or does it go by a different name? I found a Z-grip 282 by Evercoat. Is that the same product?
@KindaRuined I have. A new video in the making will be released sometime this month. Yes It's been a while because of minor set backs. Thank you for watching!!
I love the effort but just buy a nissan r34 gtt coupe then later down the line do a gtr wide body conversion. Idk where you live but theres no shot they'd let you drive this legally.
I wish I could afford a GTT. I would have done the GTR conversion on it. This controversial car project is both a challenge and a budget build. Only using my autobodywork , art, and talent demonstrates that a Skyline replica can be made like many alike around the world using different donor cars, in my case, a 1994 Honda Civic.
@@manolomonzon3646 well all the best look up some forms I believe Thailand did something extremely similar to this with a different Nissan but then did a skyline body conversion. There is a YT vid somewhere that shows a very similar build it might help to check it out.
Bro, what even is this. I usually support projects but this is not logical. You should just buy a cheap R34 sedan or coupe and import it yourself. You can get a shell for probably like 5k into the US. They aren't even illegal anymore so this makes literally zero sense.
This build is only 6k for the body swap all in fiberglass. I don't care for a sedan. This is the closest to a GTR coupe anybody can afford. The real car is about $250,000!! Any Skyline R34 shell, parts or anything is now gone up in value, the demand is crazy and overpriced.
@@manolomonzon3646 My brother in Christ, you will probably end up spending another $6k on all the bondo you will need to make this thing look like what a blind person *THINKS* an R34 GTR looks like. I implore you to please reconsider the price of a non-running, complete rolling R34 coupe (AT/NA engine), I have no reason to lie to you, and this is information you can easily google or ask any competent JDM importer. I'm not saying this to be rude, but in all the time alone your going to put into this thing you could literally work a part time job, and save up enough cash to buy a running R34 N/A coupe, probably with an automatic transmission though.
@@manolomonzon3646 Also, I forgot to mention. The only R34 GTR coupes worth $250k are fairly rare models that are in pristine condition, or like new low KM examples. Nobody is paying $250k for your average used base-model R34 GTR, more like $70-100k.
@blakeslide6919 OK, if you can simplify buy a shell for 5k and import it then why haven't you done this? Not to mention the RB engine and interior. It gonna be a lot of money in the tens of thousands before you can complete one. People are not going to buy the car GTR coupe, only wealthy people can. Im talking about a coupe and not the non desired sedan.I love this creation I'm doing and all my viewers can agree. My gift is to replicate the car to the best way possible. I can agree with you that the real deal would be of nice to purchase about 5 years ago when the prices were way cheaper and in today's market...no, hence the replica was born.
@@manolomonzon3646 I haven't done it because I don't want an R34, at least not now. I'm currently working on an S13 I have, and one project at a time is more than an enough for me. Also, if I was to buy an R34/33/32 I would want it to be a factory GTR and I simply cannot afford that right now. People are doing this right now lol, and then reselling them for a profit after they make a cheap coupe look like a GTR with a body kit, this is actually very popular right now I actually don't know how you haven't seen it. There is still a supply of crashed or abandoned non-GTR R34's that don't cost over 10k, but it wont last forever. That's why I said to reconsider your costs and what you really want, you could save up some of your money and get an R34 NA coupe and slowly put it together, you don't have to do it all at once. And as I stated, I meant a *complete* rolling car, one with interior and MAYBE even with an RB25de (non-turbo). If an RB is too expensive, many other engines fit in an R chassis, K24, SR20, LS, RB20/25. However if what you truly want to do is make this simply to say that you did it, then I wish you luck but it isn't logical because it will never feel like an R34, it won't drive like one, and it won't handle like one. It's like if you said you have a model wife, but she is actually an overweight lunch lady. Or it's like saying you have a German Shephard, but it's a chihuahua that you painted black spots on, I can make up so many comparisons but you do you bro.
@@manolomonzon3646 um ok the only ways I’ll eat my words if you start all over and do it right and to not use card board molding clay improper use of fiber glass come on man your trolling people I bet you already have a real skyline somewhere other then the parking lot you work at lol
So you're the fiberglass expert here, umm okay. You bought and haven't built anything. At least show me some of your work you have done. You are right, these parts are from an actual Skyline minus the trunk and doors obviously., part two and three of the series tells you that.
Never clicked on a video so fast can’t wait to see the end product
So much hard work 💪
Awesome dude!

It shows how to shape and mold things I think it’s just a skyline he picked for a example I Sopose , I wonder if it’s extremely heavy or reasonabe

Evercoat Z grip is awesome!! but a little pricey for me.. I use the generic Z grip brands at half the cost. The can does go by "Z grip"
where's the update at? looking forward to seeing how this looks 5 months later.
@KindaRuined I have.

Why didn't you get all that other stuff off the other skyline
❤❤❤
100% use that big gap in the trunk to drop some subs and amp in its free realestate

A GTR based on a donor car. Replica , not for a purist.
