Get all caught up with the Misfits before next week! See you then for Episode 2 of the 2nd Season: th-cam.com/play/PLWl-Jc_I2wPAsngY7MCID9sS_98Y2siT5.html&feature=shared Thanks for watching 😃
Viscosity & Stone was a comfortable yet engaging narrative. Save the Power Save the Lady Save the Artist Artist saves the Stone Community I like it. If your thinking of continuing with these people you have my vote. Looking forwards to more of the Misfits.
That was awesome. I can see the beginnings of an artist's colony founded by the legendary Linnea Howard ,with pilgrimages made from Athos and beyond to stand in the presence of the priceless Howard Panels.
Yet another beautifully fleshed out character. I know that I'm repeating myself, but I can't say it enough, I love this universe that you have created. Thank you so much for the stories. My daughter and son in law are new fans of yours. We enjoy talking about the Misfits universe on the weekends.
I got up early, got busy, then realised that it's Thursday, and yes, I can take a break. This little house is completely off-grid. I homesteaded an empty prairie field 10 years ago. There's a lot of correlations to this story. Thanks, great story, as usual. 😊
Thank you for this beautiful story.. as artist we get caught up in our work and in life and we need to be reminded why we do it and why art important .i enjoy all your stories but this one particularly moved me so thank you again.
Great stuff as always. I'm continually amazed that you can make your dialogue feel so natural. I've known many down to earth country folk and high society metropolitans. You have an uncanny mastery of the vernacular of both.
Cheers, Greyghost! I do my best to be accurate and respectful of my characters. If there's an advantage I have it's that I worked a job that for many years brought me into close contact with people of all social strata. I learned a lot about a lot of things!
I love the story . and Leneah(?) Howard an endearing new multi-story character branch in the PE Rowe tree! I feel like you already had this in mind for "homesteading" . i feel like I too am looking over the shoulder of a great artist as your story tree grows. You are the Leneah Howard of literature. That said, let me suggest a new future story about the newly discovered obelisks in the human body. It is a wide open new scientific discovery. feel free to let the imagination run wild. There are many virus stories in science fiction. Maybe you could be the 1st to make an obelisks story. Regardless I look forward to all of your stories. Fantastic one here.
Thanks, MrIzzy! I do try to give myself every advantage by looking down the road a little 👀😄so when I leave a little thread hanging out there and something that works wins the poll, I'd be silly to turn my back on it. Obelisks?!? What? 😮 That's crazy! The sub-cellular universe is so wild we barely have any clue!
A story of kindness to a stranger; the perfect homesteading theme! Practical help, emotional comfort and huge encouragement. They know nothing of her work in the Salt mine, of her loss. "The Lord restores the years that the Locusts have eaten" Joel 2:25. I can imagine during the long winter, the homesteaders gathering for company with many opportunities to learn each one's history as they share their stories. Your characters are so natural they feel like familiar friends. I can only continue to offer my gratitude for the magic.
Another excellent addition to this Universe. I often wonder which planet I would like to live on. Which society -Athos, , the letters, a traveling ship- to live in. There are so many to choose from. This remote place is definitely On my list.
Hmmm, a story of an “visual” artist from a soul artist. A very zen experience. And it’s not just about the arts but the way the art is being presented. Thanks again. 6% heh.
Wonderfull again mate, I would like Jenna from surety s future as a topic, I cant wait for nore misfits. Also, Transom seeing Lineas work, and being transfomed by it.. to the other fans, please send. A donation to our rising star.
😂 Sadly the muses haven't disclosed the rules to me yet, Ian! But they better get on it fast. Elon will be launching a Mars mission before we know it, and those poor bastards might perish en route from boredom if Sabaka isn't invented yet 🤣🚀
Any superlatives would just be platitudinous ( for want of a better word - I hope I spelt it right too!). Anything I could say has in all likelihood been said already in the comments below, so I'll just say thanks for latest offering. 👌
Your story writing never fails to amaze and enthral me. The way your words draw me in completely is so compelling, nomatter the story. This one is a great follow up to "The Salt Mine" where all her art had been so violently destroyed, which left me profoundly sad for her and how I would feel if that was me. Thank you for publishing these stories on you tube, they are a real treat for myself, my friends, who have now subscibed to your channel, and all the other folks who are gradually finding your work. Muchas gracias mi amigo.
Thanks, Frank! Occasionally, I write one like the Salt Mine where it feels like a character needs another chapter at least, especially if the story leaves them low. This and Rings of Floriston come to mind. I really enjoy writing and sharing stories that lift up the characters!
Your story telling and narration are truly extraordinary. It is such a pleasure to listen to your work. Thank you for being so gracious in making it available for all to enjoy.
This was the second story of Yours that i listened to when i found Your channel. It's at this point i decided i needed to go back and start at the beginning! This story became even more heartwarming (NOT worming as i wrote before!) having heard The Salt Mine. Heartwarming and inspiring!
Cheers, Chris! There's a few that come close if you're looking for something now: "Why Neptune?" and the Exos and Eden stories, but I can certainly put "Cylinder Construction" on the poll topic list too.
Cheers, Chris! If there's one thing that eludes me it's the "comedy" stories. I can't simply turn them on and off. They just sorta pop into my head when it's time for a comedy, I guess, but I wish I could do more. I certainly enjoy writing them. Glad you enjoy them too!
Profoundly moving and inspiring. The description of the 10 panels brought tears to my eyes. I now have a better understanding of Clem as well. There are many vast sprawling sci-fi anthology that cover thousands of years. Yours is now one of my favorites
I love your stories. I have to say that this is the best one yet. The whole time I was listening to it I was thinking of my friend who is a fine artist. I will be sharing this with her.
Man I really enjoy your stories and I love how you revisit places and characters at different points in their lives. I look forward to Thursdays. Your stories have the feel of an old TV show I liked as a kid called Amazing stories. Heart humor and hope. Keep it up please!
Cheers, DVD! So glad to hear they capture that feel for you 😃As much as the cool tech stuff, sci-fi has a long tradition of aspiration that I do my best to reflect when I can! 🚀
Thanks, Shadlow! I wish I had the talent to render them. Sadly that's not my art. Perhaps one day someone with that skill will emerge and grand our wishes 😃
Thanks, Lady Ponfarr! I am due for another collection at some point in the near future. I haven't plugged them recently, but there are 3 collections of shorts in my bookstore that preceded the Misfits. Maybe during the bye week I'll start thinking about collection 4.
Thanks, Keith! I've put up three recent stories from here over there so far (including this one), and there seem to be quite a few avid sci-fi readers there!
"But as in landlessness alone resides highest truth, shoreless, indefinite as God-so, better is it to perish in that howling infinite, than be ingloriously dashed upon the lee, even if that were safety! For worm-like, then, oh! who would craven crawl to land!" ⛵🚀😃
Thanks, Stephen! I appreciate it 🙏 I'll never post anything there I wouldn't post here, which is never anything extreme or explicit, but you can't write human stories without ever talking about how we all got here 😃
@@RoweLitShure you can. There wasn't any sex in Star Wars. Mark Twain didn't, Lewis Lamore, and a host of novelists didn't. It was a rare thing to find racy books when I was a kid.
True. Well, I mean, clearly I can in a single story, but over the course of 100 stories, to avoid sex would seem a glaring omission from the human experience. And also, in the story in question (which isn't racy by any means imho) it is a critical part of the plot. Racy is never what I'm going for. I totally agree it's not necessary for interesting stories. The same with violence. But to never go there in any stories when I'm publishing a story a week would be a conscious choice to omit something real and important.

So far, so good. Strikes and gutters, ups and downs 😂

A wonderful story of humanity at its best. It will leave you with a smile on your face.

Amazing, so touching. I'm going back and listening to the back stories. Your characters feel like family. The misfits are wonderful.
Thanks, Victoria! Glad you enjoyed it 😃🙏

Thanks, Lara! I felt like her story wasn't over yet. I'm glad it wasn't!

Oh my god. I don't know how you do it. This story made me so happy. One of the things I love about your stories is that they are full of goodness.
