    Thank you for the nice tour. And thanks very much for the tutorial on gimp, as well as that regarding a capricious cover-up when the interior has been painted over.
    I'd exercise extreme caution, or even better to forego the sanding any vintage floor tiles or linoleum type floor coverings. The reason is that many, if not all, contained asbestos. Asbestos turns up in many unexpected places and products, and particularly so in vintage things having been built or made prior to regulations of asbestos. Bear in mind that asbestos wasn't outlawed until about 1972.

    • @mobiltec
      @mobiltec  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ask to see photos of the build or it didn't happen properly. Restored means they replaced all of the rotted wood and you can't do that without removing the metal skin. Pictures or it's just lipstick on a pig. Lots of people are selling rolling pieces of rotted junk all painted and puttied up. That will be a dangerous trailer on the road. Buyer beware.

    • @leslieweiser5455
      @leslieweiser5455 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      mobiltec Thank you so much your opinion and knowledge on this subject are invaluable 😊 I would be interested in what you think of the listing.
      Its ebay seller azprettythings goggle will take you straight to listing. 1962 Frolic bidding right now is at $9300. I really just like the room and layout & feel of the vintage trailers they are simply wonderful. We have enjoyed learning from your videos.

    • @mobiltec
      @mobiltec  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@leslieweiser5455 I don't even have to look. The very first rule that I teach in my class is NEVER buy a trailer that you can not go physically look at first. And take an ice pick with you so you can poke at the framing underneath looking for rot. So Ebay is pretty much out of the question of you can't go look at it and touch it first. You should watch my video "The Successful Failure" about a poor woman who bought a trailer off of ebay without going to look at it first. Craig's List is your best bet. Local areas you can get to.
