Drove Crown Vic's for about 12 years. All with the dual exhaust. Quick quiet comfy, pretty bulletproof and the cops never took no notice. I do miss those cars. Love the digital dash.

That`s a beauty. I just sold my 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis. It was black with Mustang GT wheels. They are big!

Speaking about vehicles and their personalities… i used to have a 2003 GTI, the thing never, ever, left me stranded. It would always surprise me and was oddly quick when it wanted to be.. Well she was a bit rough, so I took all the good things out of her, now I have a 2003 Golf GL, I GTI swapped it, 20th anniversary interior, everything from my first GTI, and this one still carries that same soul, but it’s different. I saved this one from being sent to scrap. Just happened to run into a friend right before he was going to call and have it towed off. This one she’s a good girl. If she ever breaks, she breaks as I pull into my neighborhood, doesn’t matter how long of a drive, it always gets me home before it says “okay you gotta fix me now” (the reason I got rid of the first one was because I had just moved from my parents house, had no time to do a third engine swap on the car, long story on that too, and I didn’t think I would find another. Lo and behold I found a clean shell that ran, and was slowly able to transfer everything over, with a different engine ultimately being installed in the second golf)

I love the fact that it is so long it doesn't fit under the gazebo. Tbh even from a Brits point of view there is something about a Crown Vic, maybe its all those 90's and 00's cop shows that made it over here. I'm looking forward to seeing what upgrades you do.
I also find it humorous that something that big is a "town car" it is longer than most of the parking spaces in the UK.

As usual you always make the best of the situation. You may not have planned to be driving that 'Gangsta-mobile'.. but it's the best option at this point!
Keep on the hustle my friend. You'll be driving high quality rides in the near future!

From the windscreen of my CRX puttering along at 50MPG in Phoenix...I always wondered what a big, soft, comfy Crown Vic would have been like.

I had a Crown Victoria for many years. I do miss that car. She was a boat, but she drove and road like a dream, and such a spacious interior. If I didn’t need a truck, this would be one of my first choices for replacement.

The rubbed through brake line... The same thing happened to David Hobbs at late '60s LeMans in a GT-40. The cause was a wheel balanced with a weight on the inside when there wasn't clearance for it.

Didn’t hear you mention it but that’s a 97 with a 92 front header panel. That style was only offered for the 1992 model year.

Yes 1969 Olds Cutless, only a few issues with it,the first one was the timing chain was stretched, and yes I could get it to start,as usual rotate the distributor, but that was no fun in the rain,as well as leaving me in the Domino's parking lot. The second huge issue, was with the carburetor, the smallest lever ever, just decided to jump head first into the engine, after going over the damage,it was. Cost effective to replace the engine from 350 to a 400. And yes she was very jealous. Every time a female got in the car, something wouldn't work, radio, blinkers, etc. But all I miss her....aka Miss Rocket

After 13 years of driving taxis, I would never buy a Crown Vic. It blew my mind how little back seat legroom there was, and they were always breaking. They weren't awful to drive though with the crazy torque as soon as you breathed on the gas pedal. Sure paid for that torque at the gas pump. Good luck.

My company ran with Town Cars until 2011. We got 1,500,000 kilometers out of them.
Electrics always failing.......dashboard would disappear quite often.
Air suspension would fail around 650,000 k.
Now we run with Lincoln Navigators......still many problems.

my a70 supra has been a little bit neglected lately and it hates me for it. its becoming hard to start, starter engages but does nothing but its not the starter. the auto doesn't auto, 2 is third, d is fourth and second only when you don't need it. and my passenger door latch has seized so it got stuck open and opened while driving, the only way to secure it was to lock it and now its stuck locked.
about to get it onto the hoist for all the overdue work.
my other car gets jealous and breaks down when i work on other cars, it wants the attention too.
