In August, al Nusra Front jihadists took control of Syria’s side of the border crossing with Israel and kidnapped over 40 United Nations peacekeepers - who have since been released.
But al Nusra Front, an al Qaeda-affiliate, isn’t Israel’s only threat from Syria. President Bashar al-Assad’s military, in a possible effort to bait Israel into its civil war to shore up Arab sympathies, has been lobbing mortars across the border. Just a few weeks ago, the Israeli military shot down a Syrian plane flying over the Golan Heights - the first time it has done so since the 1980s.
VICE News travels to Israel’s “quiet border” in the Golan Heights, where members of al Nusra Front are now a visible threat.

And anyways it is mainly a rap music media group but they also often posts fistfights and confrontations and stuff. So it’s common in the US to pull out their phone to record and yell “worldstar” when middle school fights and stuff like that are happening as in implying they’re going to send in the video to the account to be posted for millions to see and they can get clout from it.

I absolutely hate the ignorance in the statement at 3:35 "a war they(Israel) fought with Syria in 1967 for control of the Gotland hights" please people understand this was an all out war that Egypt, Syria, with the support from several muslin countries set out to destroy Israel once more, failed miserably and Israel captured the golan hights so that Syria won't have another strategic vantage point over Israel.
In the same war Israel captured land 3 times the size of the state of Israel in the Egyptian "saini region" but returned it years later when Egypt agreed to sign a peace treaty.
This video alone should shower praise all over the deeds Israel does for muslims in the Middle East. But I'm sure most people would rather think of Israel as a bully rather than a modern democratic society "living in a horrible neighborhood"

Viva La Revolucion Israel has gone into multiple wars with s big chunk of the arab world (all of its neighbors + some) and come out on top every single time(though Israel has had some other failures). For such a seemingly small media group... I've learned more about the world & politics from Vice than any other media group in the world. And they really seem to have stepped up their game since partnering with HBO. My only legitimate complaint is they need to start doing longer shows. As a former solider myself (2012-2015) we help palestinians and civilians in need in every oppertunity we possibly can.. i personally shared my meals with poor people in Ramallah while patrolling dozens of times. Israel treats palestinians in their hospitals and even thousands of children from gaza. The IDF search and rescue brigades were sent to almost EVERY single natural disaster rescue efforts around the globe in the last 30 years- including to countrys that dont even recognise israel (like malaysia and syria)

@@guydel7775 Jabhayt Al Nusra held the Golan Syria border from 2013 and could have attacked Israel at any time. But they had a deal. Not a single shot ever went over the border. In 2017 Israels own generals at the Begin Sadat Defence Strategy talks said they would prefer to "contain and re-direct I.S". There are plenty of articles if you do a quick Google search that will give you direct quotes from Israeli top brass saying they didn't want to "finish off" I.S. because the damage they inflict on Syria is too much of a plus.

The contrast between the different sides of the border is insane.
Israel doesn't help the rebels out of kindness; rather, those rebels are fighting the Hezbollah/Assad/Iran alliance, which Israel considers it's arch enemy. A rebel victory in Syria would sever the weapon supply link from Iran to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Israel has even gone as far as to launch airstrikes in Syria for this purpose. It's all about self interest. If Israel was about kindness (or even half decent) they wouldn't be oppressing and stealing land from Palestinians on a daily basis. Some of the commentors here claiming "I don't see why Israel is so bad" are too easily influenced and/or extremely naive about the politics of the region.

You need to look at why Fuji is sending troops to these UN missions. Its all about money. If you pay attention you will see that most of the troops are from countries that pay their military very little money. The UN pays a lot of money to these countries for these troops. Having seen UN troops in action I'd have to say most of them worthless.
Sorry but that's not true at all, I,m from New Zealand and our guys are not well paid either and we send people out of social responsibility. i come from a military family and i know for a fact that UN troops are brave since they cant simply kill who ever they actually have very very strict SOP,s and i think its rather rude for someone to call them worthless when you yourself are not willing to go do that job.

there are a lot of reasons for assisting enemy fighters who're wounded. When I was in Afghanistan, my unit did the same thing for Taliban insurgents. It looks good politically and it makes everyone feel warm and fuzzy inside about the war they're involved in. War is never a pleasant thing, so for those with good hearts, actions like these make people naturally feel better about something that's really horrible. Now, I'm not saying anything bad towards Israel about this, but its a move I saw my own unit take due to a nasty political climate surrounding involvement in areas where a lot of people were opposed to. And, by saving the lives of enemy soldiers, they're more likely to garner (hopefully), useful intel from the wounded combatants because they may not hate the Israeli's as much for helping to save their lives.
