    All things considered, the gsxs1000 seems to offer tremendous value for the dollar. Definitely will be my next bike!

      davetechme great bike, ultimately I sold it and bought a Yamaha R1s only because I wanted a more sporty bike. The GSXS was a ton of fun though and a great commuter as well 👍🏻

    this bike is an excellent choice for those of us that don`t want to emulate a GP racer on a sunny sunday. the riding position is comfortable, the seat is likewise, i disagree about the screen i find it perfect for my needs, very little buffering unless you are riding faster than you should.
    the engine is puuuuuuurfect. sharp response on the throttle but you get use to it.
    mods i have fitted - max torque can, heated grips, tail tidy, sat nav.
    all in all this has become my bike of choice, in the words of sinead o`connor - "nothing compares"

    Thanks for taking the time to do a review; I'm looking for a replacement for my daily beater and these things look good for it.

    Good looking bike. Looks comfy, position wise, for everyday commuting as well. Not only does it look like it is fast, but IS fast. Best of both worlds it seems. Beautiful bike, hey it's a basically still a gixxer. Can't go wrong.

    I think a gsxr 1000 sticker to swap out the gsxsfsxf Will do the trick . We know it's the legendary k5 bullet proof engine with the lovley long stroke gear box so why did they kill the name 🤣. I think it's because they didn't want the world to know they were selling a 2005 bike in 2016 , but to give Suzuki credit why would you need to change something that's already awesome and I love the fact they come with less dredded electrics than the newer bikes in its league, the only problem with all these bikes these days is the ecu is riddled with crap and will need a tune/ecu flash Big time , smooth out that throttle, lower temps for fan , add more power all round too because when you twist that throttle and give it 100% out the shop you are only getting 70% of your 1000cc 👌🏼👍🏼, get the olins rear shock with decat pipe and exuast before tune and you've got a comfy street killer

    Crazy good deal, that's a ton of bike for the money. It gets praise from the press as being a value at 10k

    Have the same bike. Using a shorter windshield by Pugi, smooth !!! my height is 5.8. Surprised you didn't talk about the throttle . I'm going to Flash the ECU soon.... Next time will go with total naked. Not fan of the Fairing.. PIB when Maintaining, and doesn't look as good. (My Opinion..)

    Great bike. I have the same. Only thing I'm not crazy about is how twitchy the throttle can be. Otherwise a very easy bike to ride, especially coming over from a crotch rocket. I've not even taken mine out of tc control 3 and I think it's still got plenty of power.

    • @zuki4563
      @zuki4563  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That bike had some serious torque, with tc off it would wheelie basically as soon as it hit 7k rpms. It fealt a lot quicker than my R1even thought it is lie 40hp lower

      @brandongamer3162 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have not done anything to try and resolve it. IIRC I read up a while back some things people were doing, but it wasn't fixing the issue 100%. I think, don't quote me, its a throttle mapping issue Suzuki needs to iron out in future models. The twitchiness of the throttle is liveable for the most part, just gotta be careful being leaned over in the middle of a turn while going over bumps. And yea if you're getting a 2018, hopefully they've resolved it!

    1st September my new black and red F is with me...so looking forward to putting some miles on it, had a cracking test ride, really nice all round bike...I've not seen a poor review ever, just minor complaints of throttle response and that's about it. I must say I didn't notice any issues at all on my test ride, maybe the 18 bikes are sorted or some people need to get the dealerships for fix the TPS....

    • @zuki4563
      @zuki4563  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are absolutely going to love the bike. The snappy throttle thing was something my bike definitely had but it was such a small problem I didn’t care. Some people are wusses about things like that in my opinion lol. My new R1 was 10x worse with the throttle snappiness anyways. I would suggest an exhaust and ECU flash in the future, I would think the snap some bikes have is due to the engine running a bit lean but even if your bike doesn’t have that an ECU flash and exhaust I’ve heard turns this thing into a whole different animal. The only other complaint I had was it wasn’t quite as agile in the twisties as a full on sport bike but that’s to be expected, plus a skilled rider could hang with sport bikes no problem. Off topic but the paint job on this thing is the best paint job I have ever seen on a stock bike, the video doesn’t do it justice.

    • @Kaivalaginiviti
      @Kaivalaginiviti 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, noise and emission rules here in the UK are getting sillier by the day, loud exhausts will fail road worthiness tests required after 3 yes old which unless you want to swap out to stock exhausts for the test and risk being pulled with aftermarkets on it's not going to be worth it, unless more efforts are put into noise reduction with aftermarket options. However I'm already looking at black widow full systems!...the stock exhaust is one of the better out there though, especially for the sounds it makes.
      I traded in a rocket 3 roadster for this so find the bike very responsive in the steering department...and I had no issues keeping with most sports bike riders on that beast so I think the gsxs will do me well....maybe I'll need s better rear shock in time...looking forward to finding out either way :)
      Sorry...too many words again

    • @zuki4563
      @zuki4563  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kaivalagi more words of fine haha! You should hear the shit they allow in America hahaha! The stock exhaust isn’t bad and I think you will be happy with it! Enjoy the beast and keep it at 12 O’ Clock :)

    Hi Guy, I have a chance to get a low mileage 2016 GSXS1000F for a really great price. But from the reviews I see on here the clutch is to hard to pull in and it's a jerking bike. I am 65 and coming off of a 1972 GT750J which I owned for 14 years. I wanted something more more modern, safer with disc brakes etc.... and more top end as my GT750J wont go over 95....and worrying about keeping the 2 stroke bottle full... So going from a dinosaur to this , what is your opinion??????????? Thanks, Jay AZ... it is a real scortcher out here.....

      Go for it. I've had a Ducati Monster, an R6 and several Fireblades, amongst other bikes over the years and this GSX-S1000F is the best road bike I've owned. The engine is a masterpiece. It's basically a comfortable sportbike.

    Did they change the seat between model years? I picked up a '19 recently and the seat hurts after like 30 mins. Is break in period needed?

    I love this bike but why do we want to hear about why you didn’t post any video in 2017? Why do we care that you had other issues? If this is a bike review stick to the facts and the germaine evaluations of the bike. Hearing you blather on about things that aren’t bike review just annoys people. I think you have lots of good feedback people want to hear but this sounds like a first draft and I lost interest before I got to hear it.

    Suzuki UK brought out a "touring" model of this sport-touring bike!) The touring model comes with a 12 litre tailbag!!! Are they fucking kidding. Most riders consider a Tour to involve overnight stays with overnight luggage))

    • @zuki4563
      @zuki4563  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      columkenn interesting lol... I would say just get this model or even the naked and add your own cargo system onto it. I never have seen the need as I just use my backpack but then again I haven’t really gone on any long motorcycle trips. Definitely something I want to do some day and i think I would buy a KLR 650 or even another DRZ as a good all-arounder.
