Right now I have William Marshal with Odessa Orchi as my assistant wall gen during battlefields and Shajair for assistant general outside of battlefield. I am trying to decide if I should even try and make a push for the new general bieng offered if I can't get her through the 150 spins I will accumulate for free during this event.
I had the same set up on my wall, Dewey as main, Shajar as assistant. I noticed that my food still ticks down well below what my warehouse says I can store. The only way I could fix this was to swap Shajar to main. This is making me think that the assistant general feature isn’t working correctly.
@@abtra I am a bit spoiled (coined). Leonidas was my 6th max spec (wanted to unlock VC5)... If it's not the best combo, I think I am still doing OK with it! :D

You could try out Epam(the ground general in the Others tab) alongside JJ. Epam base book is 30% ground attack, 15hp ground HP and 15% mounted hp. Seems like a decent pair with JJ. Johnston for buffing archer n siege, epam to buff ground, and both of them to give just a little mounted hp
I think I will start with Queen Boudicca before getting first hit and if the cavs are melted I will switch to Zack or Tarjan based on the condition of archers. I think no matter what he ground speed book should be always there.
Taylor basic buff didn't add for me, seems inaccurate yet. Leo did awesome addition for siege. Along with Leonidas I think it's also good combination, correct me if I am mistaken

So if I ascend an assistant general, will I be able to take advantage those extra buffs? Ive spoken to some of the Pro's and alliance members, watched videos and experimented, but A lot is still unknown to me with what I can and can't do with the assistant.
No just the specs and any skill books that aren’t the same as the main general. Since the special skills differ between the gens it’s hard to say without trial and error which assistant generals are going to give the additional buffs.
I have given up my pursuit for William Marshal, it's just costing to much to keep paying for generals I have no use for and still not receive him. So ive settled for Dewey until I get enough siege built up for Leo III to be efficient.... for an assistant, I've decided on Kusunoki Masashige. His Buff are similar to Dewey's (20% Cav Atk, 35% Ranged Atk) for a total of 35% cav 55% Range, not including whatever my skill books bring. I've considered bringing Trajan back as a secondary assistant tho, or possibly Elise. To early to tell what will be most effective for my build yet, plus we don't know what the future holds for this feature. I'm sure evony will continue to make adjustments, I'd really like to see a something added where we could maybe pay to temporarily activate gear buffs in assistants, or use something like a special item that activates gear buffs for 1 hour. That would be pretty interesting and worth investing in if the price is right

Generaly I'm looking at Leonidas or Rober the Bruce to pair with Dewey because my refines lean toward ground and mount. I'm not married to those refines, but I have good percentages and whole numbers for them. However, I just got the princess kaguya - on the first 10 spins (one click). So I also like her due to the range attack and range & siege HP. Overall I have more ranged troops, but only t13 and whereas I have t14 ground. My server is still relatively new.
"leading the army." is fine for your wall gen, because your wall gen is leading the army in the context of a defense. What you probably don't want on your wall is "..leading the army to attack" because you are not initiating an attack when someone is attacking your city. Princess Kaguya is almost useless on your wall for that reason. Also her 2nd specialty is only for attacking as well, so that's completely wasted on your wall too.
I love when Jimsaq replies on my comments hes one of the best in the game for those that don't know, and hes right, basically just dont have attacking troop attack on your wall and it will work. Even if it says MAIN CITY WALL GENERAL, those skill will work as assistant wall general as it has been tested.

Real estate is ongoing...but is dependent upon people wanting to sell...also accounts need to be worth, sometimes we direct people they are best to sell to their own server.

Dome on 1096, can you explain the blazons.. I'm a bit confused on composing them. I figured if you use the same blazons you can get buffs but each of the 6 has its own buff if composed but I noticed you can basically use any blazon to upgrade any of them. I appreciate man. I have a maxed spec Leonides and like him but Marshall has more distributed buffs overall. I am going pair Leonides with Leo III for more siege and all buff (all atk, ho and def)
Don’t go for Zach, I did a spreadsheet with all his buffs and acending buffs and he gets 245 total range buffs and 115 of those range atk. They didn’t continue giving him massive range atk buffs for some reason
Well just like all the promotions given out in the movie Starship Troopers he can always give the job of assistant general to Zach until he finds someone who is ready to do the job better. Lol
Ranged troops generally do the least on defense. I don't invest in ranged skills and refines, and wouldn't use Zach Taylor. I would only do it if I had a lop-sided range-heavy keep.
For the moment I am going to use what may seem the "easiest" path with Assistants. What I believe would cause fewer "glitches" or having buffs cancel out. As mentioned you had The Raged King on the Wall previously. His attributes are good as all he is doing is increasing all troops attack which easily pairs with any battle specific Wall General. My theory on Attack Generals maybe just as simplistic. Rather than attempting to pair Top Generals with each other, team each General with (who is it?) Saladin (I think). Where their "thing" is turning a percentage of wounded into killed troops. I had some pesky player try to tile hit me and they lost both of their Generals. Not that they were significant Generals but there is some risk to pairing highly rated Generals together. One more idea before I run out of space. Also, if a player has a million-man-march or more, rather than teaming one style of attack, maybe 2? Such as a Siege/Archer or Siege/Ground ?
Question me and a couple people in my alliance notice that having shajar as a assistant general shows that I get the 200% troop upkeep,but I still lose food while I am not online has this happen to others?
I believe you can't use any of the wall generals as assistant general. When you add them you can't see their skill shining. They only work if they are assigned as main wall general. From my tests it only works if in the skill description it is "leading the army".

It’s pretty dang good. Leo 3 has a total count of 560 buffs after ascending of you consider his all buffs x4 (each troop type)

I popped Leo III on with Dewey, take advantage of what little siege damage I can deliver.
Question, so star and power don't matter for assistant general right?.. coming across people who are fully star and cultivated for power..

She is good if you can ascend her but LEO III gets more specs overall (counting his all buffs x4) if you can ascend him too

Not if your mount hp is high enough. I’ve literally splatted one mounts in buildings no less when the player mount stats were high enough
