Kyle is 2-faced & is the catalyst that started this toxicity. He wanted to be Tumi's fav so he talked poorly about Nat. Nat's constant backtalking is her downfall.
Tumi was always sweet. But Kyle's information before hand clearly poisoned her mind about Nat. Tumi coming in expecting A, B or C so of course she will come off with a wall up and short. It is a shame. People should make up their mind about someone on their own. Maybe they could have been a great team but the negative seed has already been planted.

She already for-warned us last episode that she was begrudgingly, handing the keys back over and she was already so stressed out about what the chief still was going to be like that. She was already having arguments about it before Tumi stepped on the board. And likewise Tumi had preconceived notions about Nat so she was coming in hot. Tumi I need to not stoop down to her level and remember that she is a manager and that she needs to act like one.

Tumi did nothing wrong. Natalia who is beneath Tumi in rank within 2 minutes of meeting her tried to tell her Chief Stew Tumi how she was supposed to think about how the boat was made. Basically Tumi told her what she thought and Natalia in so many words kept saying, No you are wrong you are only supposed to think what I tell you to think.
I’m sorry, Kyle, deliberately trashed talked Natalia to tumi, now I’m not saying that Natalia doesn’t have authority issues. She is however a hard worker. She did however carry Kyle when he was slacking off with his chief stew. That’s facts that you don’t have to like the girl but she is a hard worker, and the fact that Kyle felt the need to backstab and Trash Talk, a fellow crewmember to a chief stew is inappropriate and downright nasty. I hope he goes. He’s a horrible person when Natalia was talking about Kyle to the other crewmembers. It was nothing but positive, but you’re all slamming her right at the end of the day. She stood up when I couldn’t and that deserves a thumbs up in my opinion.
Looking at it from Natalia's POV. Tumi and she were both not chief stews last season. Natalia worked with Sandy, did a good job but Sandy chose Tumi as chief stew over her. Natalia then does a good job as acting chief stew. Meanwhile Luka gets promoted to Bosun and Natalia goes back to 2nd stew. I'd be upset probably.
Tumi stuffed up a little already the way she came in hot and honestly a little hostile and rude to Natalia she clearly had Kyle in her ear. She should of made her own option on Natalia when she met her very immature and from that interaction already not sure she’s ready for a management position there is a huge difference in doing a job well and stepping up to a management position and some people aren’t cut out to be management will be interesting to see how the season plays out
I'm pretty sure production, etc, that decide who is hired and in what position, NOT the captain. I'm sorry I can't recall where I read it but I read an article which explained how people are hired for all the Below Deck shows and it was all about having to go through the production team. If somebody knows differently and I'm wrong please let me know.
Tumi came in rude as hell and while she wanted to say that she was talking about the boat, she was definitely talking about Nat's work. Nat had so many things she had to do with only two people and she did a good job given what she had. Tumi already had preconceived notions about Nat and went with them. Nat had every right to call her on it and if someone did the thing with the hands even after they were asked to stop, I'd be rightfully pissed off too. I actually liked Tumi during her time in Down Under but she has changed for the worse and I don't like it. There were so many ways that she could have handled the disorganization and she chose wrong. Natalya is sooo bossy and sneaky but Kyle shouldn't have put too much of a bug in Tumi's ear because she did come in way too strong and that is going to hurt her with the rest of the crew, I really liked Tumi when she was working with Aiasha and it would behoove her to take it down a notch. Natalya is going to be trouble, she has so much potential but ruins it with her lack of respect for authority.

Captain Sandy fired a previous black 2nd stew behind a jealous 3rd stew who resented taking directions from the 2nd stew. I think she going to do the same with Tumi. Natalya is manipulative, controlling and messy.

Let’s not forget Nat was on last season and Tumi could have easily made her opinions about Nat based off that, because, as we are seeing again, Nat has a terrible problem with authority and feels she knows better than everyone. Tumi even clarified to Nat “what you did white this boat is amazing.” She then went on to say that the BOATS LAYOUT is what she feels is the problem when it comes to organizing. It’s not personal it’s professional. We continued to see that Nat couldn’t let go of the power until the last second. Also, telling someone not to speak with their hands is condescending and rude. Nothing about what Tumi was doing was rude it was firm, explained, and appreciative. at no time did Tumi qualify her "opinion on the boats layout' especially after Nat explained how it is equipped on every floor with everything they need. Add Alcohol and the *%#= gonna fly. Say what you want but Natalie is gorgeous. And aced the first charter. She made it all look effortless. I hope Tumi finds her footing in time. She’s awesome. there is NEVER a need to "show who is boss' when you first meet your staff. there is NEVER a need to do that IF youre a good manager. she did everything we train management never to do. i dont have to comment too much on that but i used to Train managers in high level financial positions. she has ZERO skills and her ego and personal feelings are too involved. you cannot manage people according to how you were raised or what you think about showing off yoru power. you will destroy the chances as being respected or growing your team. im my industry she would have been demoted right after that first meeting. complete failure

Look at the end of the day, I loved tumi on below deck down under, but after seeing her now, I firmly believe that she would’ve acted the same way to Aeasha in a nutshell, I believe that tumi is getting drunk off the power that she has she is clearly not management material, especially when she is engaging in conversations with other crewmembers without even meeting that person before hand, it is unprofessional and not a good look the fact that she continued that with a text message saying that would be fired is catty bitchy and not what I chief stew should be doing. Does that need to zip her lips and get on with her job 100% if I was in nays position I would smile and wave. Long term though, Nat couldn’t be a good chief stew. She wasn’t delegating properly and leave other crew to figure out things (I.E leaving the one girl to run service when Nat is the chief stew). It’s clear that she speaks about “professionalism” yet she went and spoke about her manager negatively and exaggerated the conversation to other members. She essentially confirmed everything that Kyle said so it’s going to be a wild season.

She did however carry Kyle when he was slacking off with his chief stew. That’s facts that you don’t have to like the girl but she is a hard worker, and the fact that Kyle felt the need to backstab and Trash Talk, a fellow crewmember to a chief stew is inappropriate and downright nasty. I hope he goes. He’s a horrible person when Natalia was talking about Kyle to the other crewmembers. It was nothing but positive, but you’re all slamming her right at the end of the day. She stood up when I couldn’t and that deserves a thumbs up in my opinion.
Looking at it from Natalia's POV. Tumi and she were both not chief stews last season. Natalia worked with Sandy, did a good job but Sandy chose Tumi as chief stew over her. Natalia then does a good job as acting chief stew. Meanwhile Luka gets promoted to Bosun and Natalia goes back to 2nd stew. I'd be upset probably.

Tumi came in rude as hell and while she wanted to say that she was talking about the boat, she was definitely talking about Nat's work. Nat had so many things she had to do with only two people and she did a good job given what she had. Tumi already had preconceived notions about Nat and went with them. Nat had every right to call her on it and if someone did the thing with the hands even after they were asked to stop, I'd be rightfully pissed off too. I actually liked Tumi during her time in Down Under but she has changed for the worse and I don't like it. There were so many ways that she could have handled the disorganization and she chose wrong. Kyle isn't making anything better and playing both sides. It's pathetic.

The first thing I noticed about Tumi, Was that she was light skinned and had her hair straightened Like a white girl Would have her hair. I don't understand why she doesn't have prad and go on natural in her looks.
Tumi came on the yacht with a very bad attitude. She has never been chief stew before, and she refused to listen to Natalia, who has been chief stew on other boats before. She said she is worried about coming on a new boat and the crew respecting her. there is NEVER a need to "show who is boss' when you first meet your staff. there is NEVER a need to do that IF youre a good manager. she did everything we train management never to do. i dont have to comment too much on that but i used to Train managers in high level financial positions. she has ZERO skills and her ego and personal feelings are too involved. you cannot manage people according to how you were raised or what you think about showing off yoru power. you will destroy the chances as being respected or growing your team. im my industry she would have been demoted right after that first meeting. complete failure

Look at the end of the day, I loved tumi on below deck down under, but after seeing her now, I firmly believe that she would’ve acted the same way to Aeasha in a nutshell, I believe that tumi is getting drunk off the power that she has she is clearly not management material, especially when she is engaging in conversations with other crewmembers without even meeting that person before hand, it is unprofessional and not a good look the fact that she continued that with a text message saying that would be fired is catty bitchy and not what I chief stew should be doing. Does that need to zip her lips and get on with her job 100% if I was in nays position I would smile and wave. Tumi will sink herself along with Kyle all on their own.Nat just needs to shut to mouth do a job and let the two idiots shoot themselves in the foot. That’s the best why you deal with people like that.

I don't understand why Sandy made her chief. Tumi's never been chief. While Nat has been chief many times on her resume and has 8 yrs of yachting as experience. Especially on a bigger yacht where the interior is a crew of 4 rather than 3.

Tumi IS the Chief Stew, Natalya doesn’t think anyone is good enough but herself. Get over yourself Natalya. Kyle loves to stir the pot. He enjoys the gossip waaaay too much. He wants to be on tv but doesn’t seem to want to do the job that got him on tv.

I am beginning to see a pattern that Caucasian people cannot bare when an African descent person holds a leadership role over them. How about respecting people who are different from you rather then accusing them of "coming in hot." Tumi's vibe is different from the loud and talkative Natalie. Perhaps she is being professional because she is the Chief Stew. But for Natalie to call her aggressive and say that she has an attitude is stereotypical. The only person I see bringing down morale, gossiping, and not listening to authority is Natalie.

Long term though, Nat couldn’t be a good chief stew. She wasn’t delegating properly and leave other crew to figure out things (I.E leaving the one girl to run service when Nat is the chief stew).
It’s clear that she speaks about “professionalism” yet she went and spoke about her manager negatively and exaggerated the conversation to other members.
She essentially confirmed everything that Kyle said so it’s going to be a wild season.
