The Samsung S22 Ultra and samsung DEX keep amazing me. The fact Docker and GNU/Linux or Alpine Linux can run and provide a full development environment takes it to another level.
Yes! I just setup Ubuntu desktop and made a little Python server website. Couldn't get docker to run. Should have just googled it first but it was fun doing it manually.
Pro tip: To move your cursor all the way to the beginning and delete characters in your command line, try Ctrl-A and then Ctrl-D.

Thank you so much for making this video. I use a Galaxy Fold 3 as my pocket computer and running Docker was the last barrier to overcome. As you know vanila Android kernel does not have the modules to support it.

I'm still a bit lost how people can run linux on dex or maybe windows 10 without rdp or cloud they install it directly you have a tutorial for one of these? Like linux on dex that works now ?
I have LoD (Linux on Dex) running on my Note 9. Haven't used it in a while but there are 3 things i know that would likely be a hindrance for you being happy with it. 1, LoD only time on a select few devices. 2, LoD has been abandoned by Samsung. 3, my main problem with it was that i could never get MySQL to run on it, severely limiting my own productivity.
If you have one of the devices, i think you have to install LoD from within Dex.
Dex is triggered by successfully attaching an external hdmi monitor.
If you haven't done that yet, you'll probably be stuck without it.
Can't wait to try this particular tutorial myself.

I think your instructions were a bit too verbose as person whos looking to install docker on dex is probably familiar with the UNIX userland.
Also, I dont know if running qemu with bridged networking is possible on android, but if not, you can always install zerotier in that vm and on the phone, this way you dont have to add all of the ports in the qemu cmd, those devices will see each other on a virtual lan, you can also add your laptop, tablet or whatever to that network.
