i was obsessed with this video a few years ago. other than the obvious we gotta change parts, this chart shows off the versatility of each member and the quartet as a whole. instant classic has always been a good example to me of a quartet that’s consistently clean and polished. i mean, look at how much they move while still pulling off this great ringing sound!
As a violist (comparable to baritone), I love how Kohl writes himself sun parts/solo's even if his part normally doesn't. My friends can always guess if an arrangement is mine if the viola has melody or a solo.
100% agree. He has such a smooth voice in his middle and upper register, and his falsetto is amazing. Plus, he often blends SO well that I literally cant tell what he is singing sometimes. I've tried to write down their arrangement of "Love Me Or Leave Me", but I just cannot tell what he's singing at some parts because he balances so well.
The "Let's Ride" right before the tag came out so sudden and so hard that I felt like it hit me in the face. PLEASE SIR, MAY I HAVE ANOTHER? Just the sudden, synchonized note being put out there with so much grace and skill, it feels like gospel. What gospel wishes it could be, that half second of music was one of the most awe-inspiring moments I've ever seen in barbershop.
I recently discovered barbershop and every other youtube video I see I have to change who my favorite group is. I knew what it was by definition but I didn't realize how entertaining it really was.
Kohl's high F is awesome, but I just realized that it sounds like Theo is mixing a Db 5 up there in the last chord too and is still perfectly balanced in the chord. Unreal.
So lately I have been viewing every single instant classic video on youtube neverendingly praising every performance. But at this point... I'm stumped. I think I have atributed them every single complement a group of musicians can receive. There just isn't enough words in the english language to fully describe their level of performance. So I guess this is all thats left for me to say: jesteście absolutnie wspaniali!
One thing I've noticed is that baritones in barbershop: A) Steal the show whenever possible B) Always get way too much into the choreography. Main Street's Mike McGee, Newfangled Four's Ryan... I don't know his last name, and of course, Kohl here. It's awesome. I dig it.
I stand by it. Usually when someone's belting B naturals in the intro, they don't end up as the 3rd-highest voice in the tag, but with Instant Classic...
In about 20 years, the arrangements will change. Voices will lower in our younger groups. Given the fact that the highest demographic of new members is about 19-28 will facilitate the need. Even if the 19-25 trend continues, arrangements will still need to be changed to the abilities of a 40/50 something voice.(Since may of our top quartets have caught the barbershop bug and will continue to sing long after their 20's.)
Instant Classic loves to end a tag with David full voicing something and Kohl using his falsetto way up there to power through the end of a song. Till' I Hear You Sing is another example of this.
Who do you think is better, if you dont mind me asking? Personally I think these guys are the most *technically* talented singers. Their timing, vowels, dynamics, and pitch is the most solid compared to other champion groups.
Theo's voice is so pure, it sounds like it's being remastered on the way out of his mouth.

I love it when TH-cam just randomly recommends stuff like this to me it’s the best ear candy ever.
Kohl has got to be the most versatile of the four of them. I love when they let him show off his talent

He writes a lot of the arrangements so
“Oh yeah” part is my favorite... I listen to a different person each time.
2 years later, keep coming back for this track - ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Seeing it live was even more epic!
5 years technically but same!
6 years now! hahaha@@Kat.k8268

I love how I can hear each part so distinctly and yet it so well blended and nothing sticks out. Such talented guys!
So good! Kohl though..... 😊 the baritone that steals the show!
I think he's my favorite. 1:44 was so damn smooth!
Their voices are SO clear and smooth. Listening to Instant Classic is like entering Heaven

That's still the best short tag I've ever heard in my life. My god.
I need to hear this this next year! Good job guys! 👏🥰🙏

This has to be one of the best arrangements I have ever heard, and performed so very very well. Bravo!!!
2:01 that chord is so clean and angelic, it's just so buttery smooth it's perfect I love it.
MAAAAAN these guys absolutely SLAAAAAAP
This is so so good! My absolute favourite song that they do :D
Can't go wrong with (an) Instant Classic!
Never fail to be astounded by this arrangement and your performance! KUDOS Instant Classic!!
that's so cool how they switch parts in the tag
Probably my favorite performance of this arrangement. Gotta love Kohl's arrangements.
Also, why are the lights having a seizure?
Oh mylanta, David at the end!!! 🤯
if your talking about the tag ending, that was actually kohl singing the high note.
I legit come here for Kyle Kitzmiller's solo erry time
sameee
AMEN. It's the deeper silk version of Michael Bubles voice.
I love this!!!❤
Outstanding arrangement and of course singing!!
Oh yes, I love this!
1:37 the guy in the background looks so happy!
Kipp Buckner? He definitely does.
Great singing and super song !
gotta love that bass!

Omg so freaking good
Speechless .... insanity man!!!!
Right now at 2:01 is so clean
Likeable intro.. nice lead- bass combo!
So damn good!!!
IS THAT ERIC IN THE BACKGROUND?? (from vocal spectrum)
Yes it is. It is the Association of International Champions, so there are only gold medalists in the back :)
@@oliviermahieu3705 wow its crazy i dont even remember leaving this comment lol. thanks for the confirmation
I just had my mind blown, i watch these all of the time and this is by far THE BEST QUARTET IN THE WORLD, next to the Statlers
and the statler Brothers were country and gospel...and have retired...sooo..
1:40-1:58 is kohl the best baritone presentation wise of all time? i think so lmao

Brian D very cool brian
LifeOnTheLedgerLines it’s cause their parts suck😂😂😂😂
@@lifeontheledgerlines8394 Ryan's last name is Wisniewski according to their vlog just in case anyone wanted to know.
@@wynnmusic_ Thanks! I hope I don't forget haha
Great!!
Sooo... I remember that comment about 4 tenors.
I stand by it. Usually when someone's belting B naturals in the intro, they don't end up as the 3rd-highest voice in the tag, but with Instant Classic...
Did the Bari go over the Lead on that last note? Sure sounded like it.
Travis Brown yes.

Is it just me or does it seem they support their vocals more the the quartets competing now and are louder?
I think it's also the different microphones. But yeah the sound on the AIC quartets always sound fuller
Awesome
How does this video only have 106k views
Mobile Master Snow i know right? Let’s get at it people!!
10/10
Yessssssssss 👏 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌸 🗣🗣🗣🗣🎙
Oh my god I just realised that they're called Kohl and Kyle Kitzmiller...
I'm still not sure if they're brothers or a couple. If anyone knows, please let me know!
@@cowchow65 They are my sons
@@buckscott3147 You must be so proud to have such talented boys! Let them know they have a big fan in the Great North!

KYLE IS MY FAVORITE THIS SONG!!!! 1:44, 1:54 and 2:39 Oh my goodness
I'm surprised the video title doesn't (yet) mention "Take the A Train".
You're right! Fixed.
Thank you!
I really want this to trend
who arranged this? Please , can anyone help with this info?
Susan Berry Kohl Kitzmiller (their baritone) arranged it
Kohl is the one who hit the high note at the end huh
Yeah. Kohl's arrangements have that a lot. They're very tailored to Instant Classic's strengths.
Instant Classic loves to end a tag with David full voicing something and Kohl using his falsetto way up there to power through the end of a song. Till' I Hear You Sing is another example of this.
Is the base and baritone brothers?
visionZ Yeah they are.
Ear. candy!!!!
This is one of my new favorites, no one can dethrone Main Street (maybe NF4 in a few years) but they’ve got something special for sure
pssst, look at their necks, they already beat Main Street in 2015
@@AcrobatsIncorperated LMAO, I was going to say the same thing.
@@AcrobatsIncorperated Main Street literally has six bronze medals from being beaten. But they are awesome nonetheless.

Holy shit, that is the best tuned chord I've ever heard in my life. That's just ridiculous!!!
This is also pretty sweet on both the tags in Notre Dame.
2:44 is really where it hit me. Good call.
This is the new Four Freshman . Don’t sound like the original at all.
hmm this is nice but I don't really donate to things
These guys are very good. Not the best though. Many quartets better.
Who do you think is better, if you dont mind me asking? Personally I think these guys are the most *technically* talented singers. Their timing, vowels, dynamics, and pitch is the most solid compared to other champion groups.
Nadiv, there are a few I like better: Ringmasters, Interstate Rivals, Chiefs of Staff, Bluegrass Student Union and The New Tradition to name a few.
