Yes it payed off. Shame he didn't hang around long enough having put all that effort into becoming as good as he was and developing something so incredible
I stumbled upon his books passing through an airport in Bali. The book store had all his books. I cashed in all my pounds into Indonesian currency and bought several books journals. In one of the journals it said Bruce does 3 X 5 mins of skipping everyday. From early 2000, I would skip like that 100% because of that journal that I stumbled upon.
I love Bruce Lee so much. He has been an inspiration to me and my training is Tae Kwon Do. I have a gorgeous poster of him in a beautiful frame which my Master in New Hampshire gave me when I moved. I am just a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Oklahoma and Bruce means so much to me.
I really hope people would stop saying Bruce Lee was cursed..it's like discounting or not giving credit for this extraordinary man..who even at a young age of 32..the man achieves more in his short life than most people in their full lifetime.🤗
Just one of the things I always loved about Bruce is the fact that he introduced and revolutionized martial arts worldwide. You know, before him, (but this documentary will tell you) Eastern Asian teachers of certain disciplines didn’t believe nor like teaching Kung fu to Westerners. Bruce was truly an icon that was ahead of his time and I believe still is.

Hi there! Really good documentary. I love the fact how Bruce was supported by his wife in his acting career and how much Bruce loved his family. Shocked about Brandon Lees pain when his father passed away, how he missed him and wanted him back at the such a young age. And how Shanon Lee watched her brothers movie the Crow and was so impressed by him so that I had tears in my eyes knowing it is Brandon Lees last movie. The movie where Brandon Lee dies is hard to grasp, he was such a sweet guy with the most beautiful smile like his fathers. His presence on the screen was vivid as Bruce Lees. You could actually feel his fathers aura when Brandon was around. Brandon wanted to be his best self. He was proud of his movie the Crow. I am also mesmorised by the fact that father and the son are buried next to each other and that the Bruce Lees wife was such a sweetheart. I don't know if she leaves at the moment. Bruce Lees doughter is also very nice person. I just loved to see little Brandon Lee and Shanon Lee together with their father and mother where they were all together. Bruce Lee directed the film Enter the Dragon. Bruce Lees doughter still leaves to this date. What an invaluable memories she must have from her mother, father and brother. Amazing!

thanks for uploading this clip. It made me think about Asianness, the classic East-West polarities and global presence. But it also reminds me the dance-quality of martial arts movement.
One truly legendary performer and one that all these years later still remains in a class of his own. Not only as a truly exceptional martial artist but as a screen performer heck he may not. have been one of the screens greatest actors BUT then he never needed to be as he had something else. Call it timeing presence magnetism what ever. But had that something that truly set him apart and put him up there with other great performers John,Wayne Bronson and Steve,MC queen. The James Dean Mohamed Ali of both the martial arts and the world of action cinama and was to change both for ever
Since i was not yet born when this man bruce still alive i never heard and see his heyday.i read something about him thats the reason why i got to know him now.seems his history is very interesting
Was always amazed at Bruce Lee's skill & love his movies, but feel somewhat shocked on hearing about his uncontrolled temper attack on his studient, resulting in a broken jaw. 20:00 because the guy was able to parry his jabs. I remember one of the first things our instructor told us was never loose your temper in a fight...
Yes he did have a bad temper. He admits it himself in an interview. Think that’s part of the reason why he was involved in street fights at a young age. Young, cocky and a bad temper. And even as he grew older those old vices where still there.
It is absolutely gutting Bruce died before Enter the Dragon was released and didn't get to reap the rewards of it's success! Who knows what other movies would of been made if he lived. The same with Brandon, he could have been a mega star too! So sad :(
He was never gonna live beyond that anyway, ever since he hurt his back in 1970 and he made the descision to continue martial arts he was doomed to die early. Had he chose to back off and take care of himself properly he would have lived a lot longer but he wouldnt have the fame he does today.
@@TheRealSephiroth I don't think it was his back injury as he rehabbed the injury and was able to perform again. I think it was a combination of stress, dehydration, Vitamin deficiencies and having a super low fat percentage. The stress that puts on the body combined with his previous edema incident. I think he may have survived if Betty Ting Pei called the ambulance immediately rather than call Raymond Chow and then a private doctor. The amount of time waisted between Betty finding Bruce unconscious and him getting to the hospital was too long he was dead already. I watched Fist of Fury again and he looks healthier there, then I watched Enter the Dragon and he was so thin and ripped I think he put too much stress on himself to look as best as he could for the international audiences that were to see him for the first time in that film. Such a shame, my dad loved Bruce Lee and I grew up watching him as a kid in the early 90's.
@@NBKRebelGamer87 from what ive heard he was working out nearly 14 hours a day without stopping and he was actually already taking pain meds for his back he could perform yes but he was gonna be in contant pain and the stress with the meds hes was on already sent signals to his brain causing it to swell and when he took the shit betty ting pei gave him that made it worse immediatly cuz he already had the headache when he got to her house. Also having his sweat glans from under his arms removed could have possibly contributed to heat stroke making the swelling in his brain worse. There was really no way he was getting out of that he was dead the moment he decided to lie down and sleep it off. Betty had no time to even waste. Sign of a legend... Anything that comes before u bears no mark anymore and anything after u bears ur mark... Thats bruce...
Behind every great man is a GREATER WOMAN.... SHE WAS HIS ROCK , NO MATTER WHO HE WAS WITH ITS ABOUT WHO HE WENT HOME TO.. IT WAS SO SAD THAT HIS SON ALSO DIED, HE HAD A VERY PROMISING CAREER THAT ONLY WOULD HAVE GOTTEN BIGGER.. HE LIKE HIS FATHER WAS VERY HYPNOTIC On The big screen. I, think I will watch the Crow tonight.. I really had trouble watching the other Crow movies I think there were 4 , and a TV VERSION..I JUST COULD NOT GET INTO THEM...RIP BRUCE AND BRANDON LEE..
He will never be forgotten.. Be water my friend...
thanks for uploading this clip. It made me think about Asianness, the classic East-West polarities and global presence. But it also reminds me the dance-quality of martial arts movement.
Very excellent documentary, I thought I seen it all. But this one my most enjoyable to watch.
Bruce you were an inspiration.
I never looked down on anyone tbh , we would all be United if I had my wish granted, I don't want money I don't want fame all I want is world peace

There will only be one Bruce Lee

🚨🚨R.I.P. Legend Forever Bruce Lee n' Brandon Lee🚨🚨
Bruce Lee lives in our hearts and imagination!
Well he was a young man. They do stupid things. Plus there may be more to the story.
Let’s not exaggerate what happened. He didn’t get rage. Just temporarily got angry. Accidents happen.
Absolutely not, that temper was his own admission ,very bad,terrible.7.21.2021
Yes he did have a bad temper. He admits it himself in an interview. Think that’s part of the reason why he was involved in street fights at a young age. Young, cocky and a bad temper. And even as he grew older those old vices where still there.
will never forget Bruce Lee
He said a true warrior is an average man with laser focus. He's Such a true inspiration 🙏❤️
36:31 “The key, that kept it together, was Linda his wife!” 37:29 “And, without her, there never would’ve been ‘Enter the Dragon’!”
MY IDOL!! BOTH HIM AND BRANDON! R.I.P TO THEM BOTH
It is absolutely gutting Bruce died before Enter the Dragon was released and didn't get to reap the rewards of it's success!
Such a shame, my dad loved Bruce Lee and I grew up watching him as a kid in the early 90's.

from what ive heard he was working out nearly 14 hours a day without stopping and he was actually already taking pain meds for his back he could perform yes but he was gonna be in contant pain and the stress with the meds hes was on already sent signals to his brain causing it to swell and when he took the shit betty ting pei gave him that made it worse immediatly cuz he already had the headache when he got to her house. Also having his sweat glans from under his arms removed could have possibly contributed to heat stroke making the swelling in his brain worse. There was really no way he was getting out of that he was dead the moment he decided to lie down and sleep it off. Betty had no time to even waste. Heres a link to a youtube video better explaining it then i could 👇

I live in Capital Hill Seattle and Bruce and his son is in the capital hill volunteer park. I am actually black bell in judo, karate and TKD. I won several kata form tournaments and Kumite several times with gold medals. Also I went to Seattle central college and the university of Washington. Thanks to Bruce and Linda for the great films and the legacy of this sport. Now I am in Hollywood as film producer looking to promote this great sport but as fitness only and not as a combat style. The new martial arts name will be Fit to go: this is mostly judo kareoke and TKD combining with fitness and Parkour fitness. It will be movie soon about these new fitness…

Bruce Lee was a master of martial arts And Life as well
That's the way it always is somebody that supercedes what's normal work ethic would be essential to achieve things of that nature!!!
how could you dislike this
Why Sifu Wong Shun Leung not mention in this.. Most of the time Bruce trained under him
Gimme a break, virtually unknown outside hong Kong before he died?. He was a living legend and well known in America. He was famous throughout world but became more iconic, cult as well as legend posthumously
By July 1973 Bruce was already on top filmmaker's sights. Carly Ponti. Elvis wanted to do a film with him. Very likely the 007 producers as they always followed fads. Bond film 1974 had Asian locations martial arts with a sidekick that could have been played by Bruce.
By his next film he would have been paid more than Steve Mcqueen.
Aun sigo recordando a Bruce Lee despues de muchos años.
Siento como si todavia viviera con nosotros. Jovan Curiel.
