This seasons format is way better than last. Actually getting to see Chase wrench and Brian explain what's what is super informative. Vs last season when chase was just standing around cracking jokes to derail.
Honestly that is why Campisi is so cringe. All he does is wine and take credit for the work of the people he “partners with to do the work” I have more respect for Chase because he bought all of the tools and then is leaning what is going on. The duche Jarret Campisi can’t tell an Allen key from a Phillips and most likely owns neither
I've been scouring the internet trying to find a walkthrough on removing the radiator for my 1199 to get to the horizontal cylinder head. This is the most detailed video I've seen thus far. Thanks!
In today's episode of bike rebuild, we learn why Ducati labor is so high, and why maintenance on a Ducati will cause you to question your life choices. Lol
Most stuff can be done yourself for a fraction of the cost if you're not afraid to get your hands dirty. Usually its just unbolting old parts and screwing on the new stuff.
Since you are there, perhaps do a wonderful valve clearance check, especially since you mentioned replacing the valve cover gaskets. Ducati valves are a great mystery and are always a good thing to see and learn to do. Thanks for the videos, keep up the good work!
Absolutely incredible teacher. As always, amazing editing and camera work. What I wouldn't give to spend an afternoon in that garage listening to you guys and watching this go down. Thanks for sharing!
"Dude I already have this bike apart." Chase has such a good friendship with Luke and Brian, and great Kudos to Brian for his patience with Chase's basic knowledge of motorcycle mechanics.
Brian referenced Full metal Jacket, but right afterwards (knowingly or not) Chase refrenced Ace Ventura (when he was in the insane asylum and rewound the football play)
I'm rebuilding my wrecked Ducati Panigale 899. These are the most detailed videos I could find with a similar bike. I initially disliked chase because the mechanic was treating him like a lost child and chase took it. However, I've changed my outlook and respect the man. I learned a lot of stuff from youtube and at one time or another and I've looked and sounded like chase did when he was truly trying to learn from the mechanic. The dude just realized (a long time ago when he started his channel) fucki it. I don't know everything, no one does. I'll ask the questions I don't know because maybe someone else doesn't know either. Whatever, I'm 6 margaritas deep and the guy makes good videos. Thanks bro.
So happy seeing you work on the bike more and learn, previous season was too much Brian doing things. Don't be afraid, if you are about to do something wrong and Brian is there watching you, he will stop you. Just look at what you want to take off and see what will be stopping you from doing it. Great job!
Chase!!!! These videos are so AWESOME! I’ve always worked on my own bikes and there’s so little content around disassembling these 959 Panigales that I was becoming wary of whether to invest in one. Your efforts in this project are refueling my interest in getting these bikes, I will be watching and rewatching these videos until I understand the qwerks of this bike. I’m jealous however, I never had such a good teacher when I worked on my bikes, I was learning as I went. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS!
Thanks for that comment Clayton. Brian definitely makes this build run smoothly and we are happy to hear we are filling a void with the content were producing!
Thanks for another great episode. I really like the way the show has developed and you get a lot of things done! Master Joda, I mean Brian, AKA the living instruction manual, is teaching his padawan the inner secrets of a true mechanic. Keep up the good work, Chase, Luke and Brian. I can’t wait for the next episode. This Panigale has sooo much potential. You can do the coolest naked bike on the planet out of this one!
this series is amazing, i really learn a lot about motorcycles and the general thinking you should have in disassembling almost everything. Brian is awesome
This build series reminds me of my dad and I when I first started working on bikes. "I could teach a monkey to tear down bikes" sounded just like my dad 🤣🤣🤣
Welcome to the channel ChaseOnTrainingWheels .... I really thought you would be more in tune to taking a bike apart and putting it back together by now, it is season 4 ya know....
Remember Chase is more of a photographer than a mechanic. Plus he is trying he best. It’s not like this is the only bike he has worked on. Every bike is like a finger print. They are all have different ways to take them apart and reassemble them. If he only worked on Ducati’s then I can see your point.
@@fredmaldonado9204 if you've taken 3 bikes prior apart and put them back together you should be retaining the info you learned by this point. I am not saying everyone learns at the same pace, but come on... Sorry Chase, I enjoy the vids, I just find it hard to believe that you need soooo much instruction at this point.
bruh brian just stands back and just instructs chase how to work on this thing, this beast needs a proper lover, aka brian because he knows this bike inside and out
Chase, I think looking at a service or workshop manual wouldn't have been a bad thing? Brian was looking at wire diagrams and the service manual for the Bobber build. The exploded view would have helped immensely in seeing the big picture of the rad and coolant assembly. I know this is now 3 years old, but some techniques remain the same. Loving this series so far.
motorcycle tech I. training. his teacher is a master and been doing this for years.. Man that bike is a monster! Thought my BMW K1200S was a monster but this bike is huge!
Hey Chase and crew. I'd like to suggest you look into a set of double flex ratchet wrenches. Mine was from Cornwell but I think other brands make them. I've watched many of your videos if not all of them and seen a few spots they'd really help. I'm not a patron and I admit I don't always hit the like button but I do watch them to the end. Enjoy them very much and love that you're learning.
Just me BUT I would definitely unbolt the oil pan and take a look inside and up into the engine case that no metal pieces are found in there from the clutch cover... Probably nothing in there, but just for peace of mind... It will only take less than 5 minutes of time and the cost of a new oil pan gasket... and by the way Chase - Don't waste energy answering the people who think it's funny to put you down because of your at the moment some what lacking mechanical skills.. Your doing it and learning!!! My bet is that most people writing negative comments can't do shit themselves.... -Keep on learning and wrenching!!!
It’s awesome that your learning. Just don’t learn enough to be dangerous. As a professional tech I feel Brian’s urge to just get in their and get the job done lol it takes restraint to tech some like that
I feel that at the begining of every season brian tells chase he will be hands off this season and by the end of it brian builds the bike while chase assist.
You guys should try making a naked panigale! With that engine being such a key part of holding that bike together maybe it would be cool to see it at all times.
I u se the air trick on my bike as well, when I service it. I use a air mattress blower, stick it in the radiator cap side, then where the drain plug is, I Jerry rig a bottle to it so it blows into the bottle and not all over the floor
Glad I am following this series. If I had any idea of getting a Ducati to rebuild myself, and I was, that idea has been quickly dismissed. LOL I have a buddy with an older Duc, that I was gonna try to get from him to redo. NOPE...LOL
5 ปีที่แล้ว
Chase's mechanical skills have progressed a lot! Which ever design direction you take, please do not make just another regular pimped out panigale. Cafe, fighter, scrambler etc would be nice!
You guys should handcuff Brian's hands behind his back, that's the only way he's going to be 'hands off'! LOL! He would dislocate joints trying to point! But seriously, Ducatis are probably the most technically challenging bikes by a major manufacturer to work on, because they are NOT designed for easy repair by the rider, it's expected that only qualified techs will work on them, and Brian is clearly that. He must have worked at a Ducati dealership for quite a few years. Really enjoying this series and looking forward to seeing what you guys do.
No need to drain the water or remove the radiator. As with most modern bikes the engines are bench tested at the factory with the radiators fitted before the rest of the bike is fitted to the engine. Front forks and rear end can be completely removed with out draining oil or water.
Great video! Y'all are amazing, the hand is creepery but still funny. This series is the best way to get past boredom. #outrocrew #fullmetaljacket #meloveyoulongtime
Great vid. Can you show checking alignment to rule out twisted stuff? I've seen yolks and forks resettle or be quite out of whack after less of a crash... when loosening the yoke bolts it can boing back into either the right or wrong shape! Or show up bent forks? Now's when I'd be checking. I just bet Brian would do it with less fat than people think it is to do. A lot of people ride bent bikes. Forks are thin walled and yokes are pared away now. Less material for weight. So bikes twist, too easily. Hard to spot?
Full Metal Jacket. Private Eightball. “What we have here, little yellow sister, is a magnificent specimen of pure Alabama Blacksnake. But it ain't too goddamned beau coup.”
"Leave the easy parts for last" - Said no amateur bike mechanic ever.. Great tip Brian. Although it's obvious when you hear it, at least I tend to remove the easy parts first and then find myself trying to hold the assembly while unscrewing the last bolt or whatever, just like you described. =D *facepalm*
Yo Brian, has anyone ever told you that Josh Gad is a very similar looking fella and similar personality to you? Specifically his role in the Ashton Kutcher Steve Jobs film? Maybe not the hair, but very similar. I guess going off of that, I could say that you are the Steve Wozniak of Motorcycles nowadays.

I’m not a professional mechanic, but I have built every one of my race bikes myself. I love watching Chase learn.
This is such a good appreciating comment.
I love when Brian messes with Chase getting his heart pumping. With Brian around you will never need a stress test😂😂😂

Literally the reason why i started watching season 1. Next few seasons you should tackle Aprilia and MV Agusta. That will actually get you some views.
@@skyusable mv agusta 🤤🤤

Not even going to lie Brian was meant to be recorded. Dude is so funny and well spoken. Just a blast to watch him do his thing \m/
I don't normally watch his content but this is the kind of content that has been missing from youtube for a long time.

Love Brian’s reference to Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, by far the funniest part of that movie! Lmao 😂

Good that you have a laugh in the garage, while working on the bike
Wish al my teachers were as brilliant in teaching method and calm as Brian.
