I don't know why this video hasn't gone viral. I have been looking for this for about 3 days and it finally came up. Algorithms are not so friendly at all. Thank you, isn't sufficient enough to say how helpful this is...fixing knitting mistakes is beyond helpful to so many of us..I hope you consider more!!! New subscriber! ❤

Instead of knitting one below I knit as per normal but have a double loop. Trying to find someone with a tutorial on how to fix.
Thanks for your video. I'll refer back when I make those mistakes.

Thats called the brioche stitch I think. Maybe google how to fix the brioche stitch.

Very easy to understand tutorial. My problem is I keep making mistakes on the border. I ripped pout four rows to fix it. I’m going to check if there’s a tutorial to fix the border.❤

Oh dear! I just made these mistakes and ripped it out. I was only 12 rows in. Thanks for sharing this. ❤

Hope it helps! And a lot of people told me they ripped out - that’s why I made this video! You are not alone.

That is very helpful, thank you.
But how do you fix a mistake that’s you only notice after a few rows? By laddering?

Thank you, I'm sure I'm going to need this moving forward but my present problem is different. I started a sweater with a rib stitch (2 years ago) and I suspect it was fishermans rib. Now I can't remember and also not certain what size needles I used :/ When I create swatches of fishermans rib the loops are messy and weirdly circular in shape whereas my original work is very neat columns of stockinette. The original ribbing has got volume and I can see double stitches in the valley, so Im sure its not ordinary ribbing. Your fishermans rib doesn't look loose and messy like mine or like other tutorials I see online. Any advice would be appreciated.

The first thing I would try for you is another swatch with smaller needles. It may be that your mechanics are correct but your needles are too large. My other guess would be did you start it in Brioche and not Fisherman’s Rib? The two look very similar and both have double stitches in the valleys

Would the process be similar for half fisherman’s rib? I’m having lots of trouble fixing mistakes with that.
