It would be really cool if you had a public live cam overhead of your printer. It seems your printer probably never stops! I'd like to know how long it took to print all the parts for the tracks... that's a lot of pieces!
11:38 "It will take just a second" lol 🤣 The hours and hour you must have put into this chapter are amazing. Then you condense it down to a 18 minute video. I admire the countless hours that go into your videos. Fantastic!!!
Chuckling at the absolutely overpowered metal teeth. Ready to tear through hard packed earth and stone - scooping sand. 😁 Reminds me of the butter robot in Rick and Morty, haha! I'm just continually amazed at how fantastically your creations are engineered though. That fastener system alone is a multi-million dollar system. You are a creative mastermind!
It is amazing to see you progress over the years and especially the the fact that your designs are modular right now. I guess it also speeds up the process of designing the mechanisms and you can always upgrade existing projects. Great work as always!!
You know I think the only thing missing from his workshop now is his own 3D filament production or recycling system. It probably wouldn't be practical but it would be cool to see how Ivan would put something like that together
Completely bonkers and ridiculously fun! Definitely need bigger continuous servos for the drive train, and a coarser acme thread for the bucket arm linear actuators to speed up movement there. Way too much fun and can't wait to see the go-cart. Thanks for sharing!
Man, you make this look so easy! I keep thinking "Man, I could do that!", then I take a second to consider the engineering and design that goes into a project like this. Seriously impressive!
one of the best, most inspiring things about your videos is... the fact that you almost always smile / laugh when things blow up!! I'm learning from you, its all in good fun in the end! ;)
Ivan, Build a a filament/print recycler people can make for under 400 - 500$ and youd be my hero. You already are my hero when it comes to large format printers though no doubt
With the ever increasing weight of projects it might be fun to design a hoist to lift and lower. I was thinking 2 ladders for the sides. Maybe on wheels so you won't need to move the table. Strong bar across the top, and a pulley system or manual hoist for lifting and lowering. Also, thick straps of course. Love to see what you come up with next.
Super awesome and impressive! It seems like everything-red is your thing, but this would look infinitely better if you mixed in a second color like black or gray for some classes of components. At a minimum, all screws could be in the highlight color. And maybe something obscure like all exactly-4-length joiner pieces or something like that. It would not only look better, it would *really* help the features of the engineering standout. For the loose parts, you could try tapering the threaded holes narrower at the bottom, so you get tighter friction/pressure on the last turn. A ridiculous alternative (and you seem like you're into ridiculous), is that you could make the equivalent of lock washer out of TPU - a thin, low-infill ring that compresses under the screw head.
this channel is quickly becoming my favourite channel., este canal esta convirtiendose rapidamente en mi canal favorito,, hacelos en español tambien ivan!,, saludos desde la patagonia argentina.!
Ivan I gotta let you know something man, the lack of a cup holder and truck balls is really bringing the vibe down, WHERES THE HORN gotta have a squeaky toy dangit
it's awesome how there are a certain set of pieces like the screws, blocks, and plates which can all be assembled to create stuff like this along with some specialized pieces like the wheel sprockets and gears the threaded screw heads are also genius and it all goes together so well along with the fact that you can custom size all the pieces and print them out also the different length screwdrivers and holes through both sides of the blocks allows for easy access since you can put a screwdriver straight though little quirks like that really well designed system I just absolutely love it incredibly creative approach to building 3d printed projects
Ivan, great stuff. I think your blocks need a name, though! Mostly because I'm a journo, haha. IvanBlocks? MirandaBlocks! I don't know! Long-term viewer, have been covering your builds for years. Love it!
I'm not sure if you've thought about it (I'm sure you have) but that building system is INCREDIBLE.. you could make a ton of money selling that to the right toy company
Your new construction system is a keeper I think. It would be interesting to see how expensive it is to get some critical parts, like the screws, injection molded for extra strength.
On second thought, it's not too surprising that parts keep falling off, since single screws are easy to get to back out, with rotation or even just vibration forces... maybe some sort of thread-locker (glue is probably the wrong tool here, lock wire maybe?) would be a good idea for the go-kart
I wonder how much heavier it would end up... I'd bet 3x at least unless Ivan designs some thin sheet parts to make most of the structure solid - probably for versatility and lightness something like 2x3 and 3x5 ratio triangles with just holes along the edges and a few fixed beams across the thin middle parts. Even then I suspect it would not be really practical as that thing is already so heavy and it is all only made in PLA.
Make a shredder machine to shred all those failed parts and build/supports, and try making something with recycled parts, should be something accessible for you and you can make a series out of it, soled 3 videos. Shredder + filament extruder and printing new parts.
I wonder if you could make it so that you can dig ground that hasn’t been touched by machinery or a shovel. I wonder if they can make a powerful enough to do that that would be so cool.
I love watching your videos and all your ingenious ideas come to fruition! I even ĺove your problem solving for reaching the screws with your short and extra long screwdrivers . Thanks Ivan
For removing the screws at 8:00 I wonder if the tabs could be redesigned so a single swipe of a blade could release one side of an entire row. That would be faster than individually removing each screw.
hey i may have an idea on how to make the 3d printed parts even stronger but it will need testing. all you need to do is cover it in sand or salt then place it in a mini oven get it to the temp where it just starts to melt then let it cool. that should make the part solid. could you give it a try and see if it helps your builds rigidity? it could maybe even help you save on the filament by making smaller but stronger parts and could help with the treads breaking like on the tank.
replace the arm's pieces with stronger ones, they will buckle and twist under load. right now it's only good for light material, it's either that or make a much smaller bucket, like a 1/3rd the size.and use brushless motors instead of servos... on a side note, you should make a plastic combat robot for robotwars... just bring enough plastic parts to rebuild it after each battle. design it to take the abuse and the important parts be on the inside with ablative plastic armor. the parts flying off will make the crowd go nuts.
The arm pieces are strong enough as they are assembled to work under compression/tension but the bolts on the joints are another story. I should print some horizontal screws just for the arm.
The arms are PLENTY strong enough. I have prints in my hands for shelf brackets that at only 6mm x 10mm x 3 perimeters trusses and I can hang off of them. You will easily exceeed the capacity of your motors/drivetrain.
damn thats so clever.... you should sell kits of these holey sticks and the screws if nothing else, it makes a great technical play set for kids or even adults
Dude…. You made Lego better. That is quite Amazing. As an engineer in Sweden, I grew up with Lego. But just your screw-in-screw system is amazing 🤩. And there is more, like room for bearings, servo’s… Awesome!!!
What an amazing construction set you have created! Like a cross between Lego and Meccano, the best of both worlds, so well done. It looks quite scalable too. On a smaller scale, that should go into production! If not you, then who? Patreon account, injection moulded themed kits, ... :-)
It's awesome that you not only created a building system, but also custom tools as needed to assemble it all. ❤
and in no time he’ll be in the military building plastic tanks 😂

Incredible as usual! And frightening to think that those are the "mini" versions of your blocks, haha! Can't wait for the gokart.
Yeah, I better don't give it a second thought 😅. Thanks!!
Nowadays, this is the most funny stuff on TH-cam, period. Congratulations Iván!
Man, you make this look so easy! I keep thinking "Man, I could do that!", then I take a second to consider the engineering and design that goes into a project like this. Seriously impressive!
For me it's the cost.
30 kg of petg is around 12usd x 30kg =360 usd.

8:00 I like that support system alot! well done Ivan
Thanks!
AFTER 4 YEARS OF PRINTING THIS BEAUTIFUL DIGGER IS THE RESULT. BEAUTIFUL
Ok, the tabbed "brim" like that, is an amazing idea. Something I will start trying out for my projects. :)
Ivan, you are an absolutely mad genius and I am here for every second of it!
Ivan, Build a a filament/print recycler people can make for under 400 - 500$ and youd be my hero. You already are my hero when it comes to large format printers though no doubt
The amount of PLA used in this project makes me uncomfortable
You should do a video on your recycling, and show us how you re-use all the excess plastic from your prints you don't use.
Ideas for a future project:
1. build a crane 🏗️ to lift projects off the work bench.
2. Build a workbench that can be lowered closer to the floor.
Your awesome, I have been interested in this 3-D printing for years. My wife bought me one for Christmas. And I'm learning so much. Your the man!!
Thats such a cool mounting system the tools only make it better!
Nice, Ive been designing, 3d printing and building RC excavators for many years, the size of this is incredible. Love seeing your crazy videos man.
I strongly recommend trying to figure out how to make a slip-ring, so the top of the excavator can go all the way around. Otherwise - really cool!
I have one around here but I need to figure where to stop or projects would take forever 😅 Thanks!!
@@ivanmirandawastaken That's fair!
The engineering behind all of your projects is just amazing to see everytime!
You should make a video showing all the fails and mishaps of your projects to show the prototyping process, I think it would be neat.

Amazing work Ivan, keep it up!!
Bravo! My only suggestion would be to use some silicone tape or Loctite to prevent your screw drop out issue. And perhaps a more powerful DC motor!
Ivan I gotta let you know something man, the lack of a cup holder and truck balls is really bringing the vibe down, WHERES THE HORN gotta have a squeaky toy dangit
wow
I also print in 3d but here we are at another level! BRAVO
The amount of detail you put into these builds is really awesome, you made a screw driver to screw in the hardware you made, that is pretty great.
He made a custom funnel that integrates into the system... It's kinda insane.

miranda took 3d printing at home to another level :D
Fantastic work, Ivan! Really well done! 😃

Okay the video is working on for this week now seems silly after seeing this 😂🤣 amazing project 🤘🤯

I love your insane projects man. Super inspiring. Never fails to spark creativity.
first thought: what a waste of plastic
second thought: WOWW, so cool!!
Thank you Polymaker! :)
This is a really slick building system you have designed for this build
I think Ivan is the only one who orders filament in ton units and not in kilos like all of us.
someone get this man a pellet extruder!
That is so crazy.
An RC servo can drive the machine around.
Very nice. Looking forward to the kart now.
Very impressive & big project ! You are a great engineer!
If the spool supplier ever does a trade show, surely miranda's creation(s) should be there ...
Ivan has the coolest toys even if they explode a little sometimes.
what you need as the last piece for this is like a wiper cntact, so you can turn around infinitly
The king of red filament strikes again!
These blocks are amazing! I love that mini hammer you printed also! cute. I guess at that size its really a screwdriver. :D
I would love to see Ivan rebuild the tank out of these Miranda Blocks for some reason.

Awesome project. That ringing around 11:00 is quite pronounced, but I'm sure you need to print fast for something this enormous!
Yeah, a part with ringing is better than no part at all. Thanks!
Very creative, but you have the worlds slowest backhoe, still, I love it.
You need to add little TPU pieces on the tracks to increase friction. Actual Lego tracked vehicles have it as well.
Impressive 👍
Can’t even think about how much all that filament would cost if you were not sponsored!

How many kilos of filament is this thing? I'd love to make one, unfortunately I have to pay Polymaker for my filament...
Would stepper motors be better for driving the treads? I guess servos don't require the additional control boards and they might have more torque.
Lego comes from the Danish "Leg Godt". I think what you've created here is "Biggo", from the Danish "Bygge Godt", meaning "Build Well" in english!
