Is the lower part of the board also soldered with that middle golden like bracket? Because on my iphone x board there is a small gap between the lowest plate of the board and that middle bracket, next to the sim card reader. And the phone is now unable to activate, probably because of that

@@mauriciogonzalez5891 even if I haven't, That's just common sense. You wouldn't put back a heatsink without reapplying a thermal paste if you repairing laptops/ PCs. So I'm sure the same applies for phones as well.
It's a simple question. I don't get why you had to be condescending. People like you are the reason why some people never dare to ask and learn.
generally too much difficulties to reapply the thermal paste. You don't have factory machines to solder the boards back together perfectly, with solder paste affecting your judgement when solder has melted and sunk down.
The phone generally will not overheat to damage anyway, it just thermal throttles a bit quicker. For an economical repair, this is close enough.

You have to know where is the problem coming from, check other microfones by recording a video from back cam and front cam, if it’s ok then open the app (voice memos) and try to record , see if it’s recording or not , then let me know.
