SOS for Honda Crv 2002-2006 use 5w20 (0w20 Europe) if u have 100.000 and under. If you have 100.000 up use 5w30 ( I searched every manual) i want to help for crv lovers. (Honda oil-Liquid Moly- Mobile 1- Valvoline- Elf-Total BEST BRANDS) reliable sources.
Based on the owner's manual there are 8 engine oil grades recommended as follows: 0w-20, 30 & 40; 5w-30 & 40; 10w-30 & 40 & 15w-40. Therefor any of this oil grade can be used for as long as we changed oil periodically. I have a crv gen 2 '03 model & am using the 15w-40 engine grade & 10w-30 for my manual trans. I have 116k km reading to date
It's a tight squeeze to get both a tool to the oil filter. I'd like to have a few words with the engineer that put the oil filter right there, obviously that guy never changed it himself, grr. What the video skips over is that the filter is horizontal (level with the ground) so that when you pull the filter out, it pours oil all over everything in the way. Worse, you have tilt the filter to get it out of the engine compartment, there's no way to get it out without pouring more oil out. It's a mess. I followed someone's suggestion and used the paper carton from a case of beer and bent it into shape so that the oil from the filter would be routed around most everything else in the way and into the oil pan. My wife lined it with foil that I could wipe off so that I could reuse the cardboard without having to figure out how to shape it the next time.
@@samsmith6169 completely agree. That oil filter location is so dumb to work around with. You don’t have enough space from underneath if the filter gets stuck for tools to loosen it and above the engine blocks you off….. I just put it together to remove the passenger wheel, but it got dark outside so I have to try it in the morning lol
We need more of these 06 Honda Crv videos... got a subscriber here.

It is under 100k, thanks for the tip.
100k, 200k, 300k or more miles, stick to what grade oil says on the oil cap and please use original oil filter only part# 15400-PLM-A02
Hondas are super delicate, whatever the cap says stick to it. Corollas are rugged do whatever u want to them

Don’t use farm filters . Use uap, napa , . Go and watch a test on oil filters and see the difference .
