Just want to say to anyone considering 15:00 Enchanted Lab, it's no joke. The final room Izaro was able to one shot my Golem build at 6,500 health and 90% phys reduction in sandstance. A warning. This Izaro was one of the only bosses in Heist that was able to one shot me next to A8 and wave 20 Kosis Simulacrum, so be extra careful. Also his leap slam animation, or animations in general, are way faster like Uber Atziri.
Sad but true. Last I played was when the Atlas was the newer thing, so I was surprised I understood half the methods, or was simple enough. Almost makes me miss the early days of PoE, where the debate to farm uniques was between Dominus farming or low tier mapping XD
Between yours and Karv's videos on the atlas i have an assured headache at every league start, ty for all the informative videos tho, i always like to see how many infos we manage to remember every time.
This video is hard to navigate and revisit: Long video, no timestamps, the icons don't correlate exactly to the what they are. Impossible to track an specific part of the video to re visit something. I'd rather use plain text a random color background image instead of these random icons. Something you could take into account for future videos.
A couple more options: Div card arbitrage is a mixture of gambling and flipping. I can't count the number of times I've turned in 10 sets of The Chosen, got 7 Skins of the Lords that are pieces of junk that still might sell, 2 50c-1ex hits, and one 5ex hit. The Long Con and The Price of Loyalty are higher budget options; The Long Con is usually priced at about 20-22% of the average Elderslayer Exalt per card, so a set of four has a high expected value. Akil's Prophecy is another arbitrage option. Enchanting Voidwalkers. Lab isn't just 85-86 Hubrises. By the time Voidwalker drops to 30c unenchanted, you can usually sell it with almost any enchant for 1ex. This is risky - if you don't sell it fast (by day 14) it won't sell. Vaal orb implicit chasing. Buy cheap unique gloves with semi-decent rolls e.g. 775% Facebreaker, and buy divine perfect threshold jewels for peanuts. Vaal. Lose currency most tries, make a good deal when you hit. Stay on top of the meta, and preemptively buy up and sit on items where demand is skyrocketing (e.g. Badge of the Brotherhood). This works best with brand new items that wind up being very rare. Convert idle currency into mirror pieces. Got 6ex early and you're going away camping for a week? Buy 8 copies of Seven Years Bad Luck for 0.75ex each, come back, sell each copy for 1.25ex. Split beast item duplication (assuming split beasts survive into 3.13). And then there's your specialty, theorycrafting ways to break new league mechanics.
This is a great outline to provoke further research into currency generation. I've always been a casual chaos recipe type guy, but I might consider moving into more serious pursuits.

i know im 10 months late on this, but i do personally love doing heist contracts. they are pretty relaxing to me. I just sit there listening to some stand up while doing some contracts.

I try to rush acts but I just can't enjoy the game doing so... I think it's better to play the game at your own peace and enjoy the challenge league a bit before diving yourself on the endless farming hell of the end game :/

also on flipping, i really enjoy buying poor uniques that are fated, buying prophecies for them usually at 1c and doing those to flip the item. Making about 15c profit per item with about 2c spent. Worth it!!
I have a doubt about simulacrum: i played herald stack on Delirium, and just a few times i've saw the loot stack goes to 5... even when i cleared everything, specially in low waves... whats the condition to 5 stacks loot?
This is from personal experience so I might be wrong. I belive that for each layout there is a certain area that if you spend enough time in while killing monsters the wave will last a little longer allowing you to get to that fifth stack. This area is most of the time around the middle of the zone.

The stacking of sextants and prophecys just scales so hard that if your character can do it on sixteen, that is wheen you should do it. I think unless you really want the best profit margins always 16, otherwise at least 12
Made my first decent amount of money so far this season, prior seasons have always been bad for me. Got the doctor card from a hidden stacked card inside a low tier heist run, level 60 or so it think. Amazing!!
Im always doing some chaos recipes and spending my currency on my gear, cap res get some good life and dmg before Red maps. Soo yea running maps and bosses will be much smoother.
If you can run red maps, run them. Usually, just what you get from the watch stone grind is good enough to set me up for red maps. If you're on softcore, you are free to die 5 times
Unless you're doing hundreds of sets it's not worth it. RNG can murder your investments, people have been easily doing 10-20 sets with zero eyes drops, it can be REALLY bad
i ran about 30 UE runs in heist league, not a single WE, loss a huge amount of investment, not worth it in my eyes, finally got one to drop after about 30 UE runs, got a WE that wasn't even worth 3ex, good luck though!
What do you mean by farming veiled items? Like, farming them for crafts and offering those as a service? Selling veiled items for people looking to get their crafts? Selling the unveiled items for people who want the one specific veiled mod?
I think he means selling unveiled items for people to unlock crafts I legit do this when I reach maps every league and put lots of veiled items and sel them like 20 items 20c and i make a lotts of money because there are guys out there with crafting services that want all you can give them in the first days
Also I think with the new expansion revealed I think Maps are so much better even if you don't juive just because you will use the map passive tree, the rituals and the craftable watch stones.
One of my previous comments discussing the viability of running multiple accounts was deleted (I think I did it accidentally lol), but I wanted to thank you for replying. I never thought of just running all five at once through the campaign with your primary account. That still sounds like more work than I'm interested in doing (and probably requires a better computer than I have available) but it's much more realistic for week one than I thought. Just requires you to suffer through the full campaign not once, but twice lol. --- A suggestion for some more interesting content to put on your youtube channel - maybe a tutorial on meta crafts or targeted farming for popular builds? For example, I know archmage MoM and aurastacking are both very popular in the meta right now, with build guides up from multiple authors. If you put up a video discussing a few of the more popular crafts these builds use, some of the bases or key lab enchants they like, or good ways to farm some of the pricey build defining uniques they use, I think a lot of people would watch it. I for sure would be interested. Obviously you don't need to give away all your secrets, but as you said in your video, the most difficult part of currency generation via crafting is the knowledge behind it.
You forgot to include one, I've been doing prophecy item selling, since people love to vaal Asenath's Chant and The Signal Fire, it gave me a lot of chaos and exalts in the middle of the league. What usually happens is that I highlighted the uniques that I can upgrade through the prophecy, Blackgleam and Asenath's Mark, I buy their prophecies usually around 10c to 40c and sell the unique item uncorrupted for 50c to at least 3ex. The Signal Fire max roll on Gain extra fire is 2 ex to 4 ex.
Ah ye totally forgot huh, I would say the ring maps are pretty bad since the nerfs, probably a tier B- or C+ but if you can farm cortex, that's an A+, its nastyyyyyy

Unfortunately, one thing that a lot of guides like this fail to mention is that time is one of the biggest factors in getting rich in PoE. No shade on this video because it's very informative, but yeah, if you're not playing a lot, nothing you do will get you rich quickly Don't worry so much about being super rich :) I promise it doesn't feel as good as you think!
@@Lolcohol Yeah you're probably right. The main thing I want lots of currency for is that I just love crafting in PoE and the high end crafting is expensive. Feelsbadman.
@@gubzs Crafting is also my favourite part of PoE. With a relatively small investment and a lot of knowledge, you can build up your currency by crafting! Someone could correct me if I'm wrong, but making items, selling them for profit and making more and better items is probably one of the better ways to get rich while not playing as much. Only problem is you need to be online to make sales :(
@@Lolcohol I've been able to craft some incredible items in past leagues but usually nobody knows to search for them. In Heist I had the undisputed best chaos dot staff in the league and couldn't sell it because nobody knew to look for the synthesized implicit it had. I think I just need to aim lower.
Not week1, but in general First time I got to 50+ exalts - from doing shapers (while farming HO) - I farmed bunch of UE fragments and their BIG bulk sold FOR A LOT. Every shaper kill netted like 0.7ex, and I could kill 10 shapers / hour. Second time I got to 50+ exalts was from selling harvest craft in discord. Third time I got to 50+ exalts - double corrupted abyss boots with very good implicits. 4th time yet to come... :)
You might prefer GotG, but regular labs is still worth more per hour than week 1 delve, elder, shaper and beasts (unless you have group for beasts). There's no way it's worse than Chaos Recipe on Week 1.
Well... I disagree, but we don't have to agree, it's fine not to. As for chaos recipe, that's a DAY ONE thing, not a week one thing, it's very low ranked alongside gambling stuff

isn't mastermind farm also a reasonable way to farm currency. Cinderswallow and Devouring Diadem are both reasonably priced, and you at least get some return on your syndicate
Probably none, considering this is only for the 1st week of the league so its not like everyone can do everything. Plus most of the community won't be geared up or at a level where they can do some of those things or even be in maps by then.
Probably won't happen, playing the game is not super enjoyable to me, playing the economy and min-maxing things is what I enjoy, sadly! but who knows....

Good video, was quite interested to hear you don't classify crafting as gambling though. Its so heavily rng (ignoring harvest), many do class it as gambling!
It is 100% gambling, I agree, but it's calculated gambling where the odds are that you win every single time, if you're ALWAYS winning (on average) I don't really consider it gambling personally!
Divination card unrevealing is not worth it for sure. At the end of Delirium league, I've bought equality of 50ex of stacked decks - 2000 to be precise, 2.5c each (with few 2c). The only cards I've got that were worth anything were the Doctor, the Fiend and the Succor of the Sinless, giving me loss of about -32ex (I did the math back then, but I cannot find where I wrote it). Of course, it's all RNG, so remember about the gamble. I could get either 10 Doctors, or even lose 49ex, which is hyper inconsistent.
What about day 1 crafting? I know how to get money from like 5ex at day 3 with crafting minion wands, bows and other good league start stuff, but one guy in my friend list got like 30-50 ex on day 3 just with crafting, vastgg if u know him, I tried to ask what to craft in day 1-3 he don't wanna open secrets XD) Any ideas what to craft at first day in league?
Ye I've seen the name around but nothing the top dogs in my opinion, def not bad though, 30-50ex solo is respectable. But no, I won't reveal those secrets either, they're available on my patreon database :P

Getting one specific currency in ssf is not that hard. You just need to learn a non direct way to get it. Talismans for example are great to get early alteration. Regal and chaos recipe are good. You can trade regret to alchemy 1 to 1 And so on
Can't agree with Sirus farming being trash on the first week. If you're a little bit lucky and fairly quick you will make a decent amount of ex just from Awakener's Orbs alone, which can be extremely expensive first week, they were up to 5ex I believe in Heist (or Harvest, don't remember). One of those leagues Sirus drops of the first 4 days paid for 80% of my HH. Later it is much worse, yes. I'd put it in between B-C tiers week 1, and tier D weeks 2+
I agree, I tried to completed Atlas together with a friend relatively quickly in Flashback and then farmed a couple of siruses. Got kinda lucky and dropped a few Awakener's Orbs which sold at about 5-6 ex a pop which financed the majority of my hh. That said I think in every mapping league the prices for Awakener's Orbs are probably lower. The additional benefits that come with mapping like masters can improve the income, but this is also depending on the meta.

I think comparing offering of the goddess to gift of the goddess to evaluate its value on this overall chart was a mistake. The value of farming normal lab with offerings has to do with currency per hour; that currency per hour should then be compared to all of the methods on this chart. If, for example (and just as an example), farming uber lab netted as much currency as farming shaper, then it should be on the same tier as shaper...you aren't farming less currency just because there's a more efficient version of farming lab. I get that you consider it to be multiple tiers below gift of the goddess, but I'm not convinced that it is actually worse than something like deep delving when it comes to currency per hour. edited to add: still love the video -- thanks for the content! also changed my comparison to deep delving, since I really think regular uber lab farming would be better than deep delving (even if it's way less efficient than GotG) (phew, done with fixing my post! :) ).
deep delving is only in C tier because this is a week one guide where people are pushing for depths and not yet at the point where delving is super profitable yet (around 2.5k depths), but technically deep delving is S+ tier and regular uber lab is AT MOST like a C tier while the gift of the goddess is probably like an A- tier... it's not even close between deep delving and farming lab, in either of the versions
Betrayal isn't worth anymore for making currency. Was good before heist because you had a lot of good rewarding things to do: upgrading chayula and xoph, scarabs, fast gem exp, etc. But all of those things you can find easier and faster in heist. It's only for upgrading your own equipment now.

Uber elder was so unlucky for me in heist, in 9 kills I got 0 jewels. I did not really care if they would be good or bad ones but I just wanted to get 1 jewel so badly but I just gave up at this point.
Honestly the only profit with stack decks is selling them on bulk for the people that like gambling. In Heist with contracts I made a lot of EX just selling tons of stacked decks.
Hey thanks for tour top but disagreeing largly about mapping. Every league i get my atlas done on 2nd day of the league and for the next week selling these sweet red maps 10-18c and making my living only by this (chars worths 30-40ex with just casual gameplay). Seems like you underestimate how easy, no investment, accessable and STEADY this way is. quick maths, on the 2nd day you are running t15 (8-10c) couple of scarabs/sacrifices (3-5c) it will take you around 2mins to complete the map, meanwhile progressing your guards, getting master missions, gem xp,sometimes overdrops (never relaying on it though). In the end of these 2mins you usually get 2-5 red maps which already cover your money and in 90% of the time youll make quite some profit already here, and then you have currency drops.encounters.masters etc That said iam not the most efficient player and got pretty lazy gamestyle and for ppl like me and iam sure that iam not the only one its really nice way of playing the game and still make quite some money

First week in a season best way to make currency is: dont just play 3 hours and actually try to do all 10 acts at day 1. obv.

I belive that for each layout there is a certain area that if you spend enough time in while killing monsters the wave will last a little longer allowing you to get to that fifth stack. This area is most of the time around the middle of the zone.

The stacking of sextants and prophecys just scales so hard that if your character can do it on sixteen, that is wheen you should do it. I think unless you really want the best profit margins always 16, otherwise at least 12
Made my first decent amount of money so far this season, prior seasons have always been bad for me. Got the doctor card from a hidden stacked card inside a low tier heist run, level 60 or so it think. Amazing!!
Quick question for anyone who knows, is it worth doing some of content math mentioned before pushing red maps or do you always get red maps first?
Im always doing some chaos recipes and spending my currency on my gear, cap res get some good life and dmg before Red maps. Soo yea running maps and bosses will be much smoother.
Since this is only for first week then I'll say its always worth it.
90% of these are viable straight out of the story, in white maps.
If you can run red maps, run them. Usually, just what you get from the watch stone grind is good enough to set me up for red maps. If you're on softcore, you are free to die 5 times

Unless you're doing hundreds of sets it's not worth it. RNG can murder your investments, people have been easily doing 10-20 sets with zero eyes drops, it can be REALLY bad
no demand for un-ID watchers week 1. expected is about 1 eye every 3-4 elders actually

i ran about 30 UE runs in heist league, not a single WE, loss a huge amount of investment, not worth it in my eyes, finally got one to drop after about 30 UE runs, got a WE that wasn't even worth 3ex, good luck though!

What do you mean by farming veiled items? Like, farming them for crafts and offering those as a service? Selling veiled items for people looking to get their crafts? Selling the unveiled items for people who want the one specific veiled mod?
I think he means selling unveiled items for people to unlock crafts I legit do this when I reach maps every league and put lots of veiled items and sel them like 20 items 20c and i make a lotts of money because there are guys out there with crafting services that want all you can give them in the first days
Also I think with the new expansion revealed I think Maps are so much better even if you don't juive just because you will use the map passive tree, the rituals and the craftable watch stones.

One of my previous comments discussing the viability of running multiple accounts was deleted (I think I did it accidentally lol), but I wanted to thank you for replying. I never thought of just running all five at once through the campaign with your primary account. That still sounds like more work than I'm interested in doing (and probably requires a better computer than I have available) but it's much more realistic for week one than I thought. Just requires you to suffer through the full campaign not once, but twice lol.

A suggestion for some more interesting content to put on your youtube channel - maybe a tutorial on meta crafts or targeted farming for popular builds?
For example, I know archmage MoM and aurastacking are both very popular in the meta right now, with build guides up from multiple authors. If you put up a video discussing a few of the more popular crafts these builds use, some of the bases or key lab enchants they like, or good ways to farm some of the pricey build defining uniques they use, I think a lot of people would watch it. I for sure would be interested.
Obviously you don't need to give away all your secrets, but as you said in your video, the most difficult part of currency generation via crafting is the knowledge behind it.

You forgot to include one, I've been doing prophecy item selling, since people love to vaal Asenath's Chant and The Signal Fire, it gave me a lot of chaos and exalts in the middle of the league. What usually happens is that I highlighted the uniques that I can upgrade through the prophecy, Blackgleam and Asenath's Mark, I buy their prophecies usually around 10c to 40c and sell the unique item uncorrupted for 50c to at least 3ex. The Signal Fire max roll on Gain extra fire is 2 ex to 4 ex.
Can you point to any resources on multi-boxing in PoE and ways to make profit from it (like how to bestiary farm with multiple accounts)?

Unfortunately, one thing that a lot of guides like this fail to mention is that time is one of the biggest factors in getting rich in PoE. No shade on this video because it's very informative, but yeah, if you're not playing a lot, nothing you do will get you rich quickly

@@gubzs Crafting is also my favourite part of PoE. With a relatively small investment and a lot of knowledge, you can build up your currency by crafting! Someone could correct me if I'm wrong, but making items, selling them for profit and making more and better items is probably one of the better ways to get rich while not playing as much. Only problem is you need to be online to make sales :(
@@Lolcohol I've been able to craft some incredible items in past leagues but usually nobody knows to search for them. In Heist I had the undisputed best chaos dot staff in the league and couldn't sell it because nobody knew to look for the synthesized implicit it had. I think I just need to aim lower.

First time I got to 50+ exalts - from doing shapers (while farming HO) - I farmed bunch of UE fragments and their BIG bulk sold FOR A LOT. Every shaper kill netted like 0.7ex, and I could kill 10 shapers / hour.
Second time I got to 50+ exalts was from selling harvest craft in discord.
Third time I got to 50+ exalts - double corrupted abyss boots with very good implicits.
4th time yet to come... :)
You might prefer GotG, but regular labs is still worth more per hour than week 1 delve, elder, shaper and beasts (unless you have group for beasts). There's no way it's worse than Chaos Recipe on Week 1.

isn't mastermind farm also a reasonable way to farm currency. Cinderswallow and Devouring Diadem are both reasonably priced, and you at least get some return on your syndicate

Probably none, considering this is only for the 1st week of the league so its not like everyone can do everything. Plus most of the community won't be geared up or at a level where they can do some of those things or even be in maps by then.

Good video, was quite interested to hear you don't classify crafting as gambling though. Its so heavily rng (ignoring harvest), many do class it as gambling!
It is 100% gambling, I agree, but it's calculated gambling where the odds are that you win every single time, if you're ALWAYS winning (on average) I don't really consider it gambling personally!
Divination card unrevealing is not worth it for sure. At the end of Delirium league, I've bought equality of 50ex of stacked decks - 2000 to be precise, 2.5c each (with few 2c).
The only cards I've got that were worth anything were the Doctor, the Fiend and the Succor of the Sinless, giving me loss of about -32ex (I did the math back then, but I cannot find where I wrote it).
Of course, it's all RNG, so remember about the gamble. I could get either 10 Doctors, or even lose 49ex, which is hyper inconsistent.
What about day 1 crafting? I know how to get money from like 5ex at day 3 with crafting minion wands, bows and other good league start stuff, but one guy in my friend list got like 30-50 ex on day 3 just with crafting, vastgg if u know him, I tried to ask what to craft in day 1-3 he don't wanna open secrets XD) Any ideas what to craft at first day in league?

Getting one specific currency in ssf is not that hard.
You just need to learn a non direct way to get it.
Talismans for example are great to get early alteration.
Regal and chaos recipe are good.
You can trade regret to alchemy 1 to 1
And so on

Can't agree with Sirus farming being trash on the first week. If you're a little bit lucky and fairly quick you will make a decent amount of ex just from Awakener's Orbs alone, which can be extremely expensive first week, they were up to 5ex I believe in Heist (or Harvest, don't remember). One of those leagues Sirus drops of the first 4 days paid for 80% of my HH. Later it is much worse, yes. I'd put it in between B-C tiers week 1, and tier D weeks 2+
I agree, I tried to completed Atlas together with a friend relatively quickly in Flashback and then farmed a couple of siruses. Got kinda lucky and dropped a few Awakener's Orbs which sold at about 5-6 ex a pop which financed the majority of my hh. That said I think in every mapping league the prices for Awakener's Orbs are probably lower.
The additional benefits that come with mapping like masters can improve the income, but this is also depending on the meta.

I think comparing offering of the goddess to gift of the goddess to evaluate its value on this overall chart was a mistake. The value of farming normal lab with offerings has to do with currency per hour; that currency per hour should then be compared to all of the methods on this chart.
If, for example (and just as an example), farming uber lab netted as much currency as farming shaper, then it should be on the same tier as shaper...you aren't farming less currency just because there's a more efficient version of farming lab. I get that you consider it to be multiple tiers below gift of the goddess, but I'm not convinced that it is actually worse than something like deep delving when it comes to currency per hour.
edited to add: still love the video -- thanks for the content! also changed my comparison to deep delving, since I really think regular uber lab farming would be better than deep delving (even if it's way less efficient than GotG) (phew, done with fixing my post! :) ).
deep delving is only in C tier because this is a week one guide where people are pushing for depths and not yet at the point where delving is super profitable yet (around 2.5k depths), but technically deep delving is S+ tier and regular uber lab is AT MOST like a C tier while the gift of the goddess is probably like an A- tier...
it's not even close between deep delving and farming lab, in either of the versions
Betrayal isn't worth anymore for making currency. Was good before heist because you had a lot of good rewarding things to do: upgrading chayula and xoph, scarabs, fast gem exp, etc. But all of those things you can find easier and faster in heist. It's only for upgrading your own equipment now.
Betratal is amazing currency making method still.

Honestly the only profit with stack decks is selling them on bulk for the people that like gambling. In Heist with contracts I made a lot of EX just selling tons of stacked decks.
I should have made ~2000 chaos by selling, and got house of mirrors too from accidentally right clicking it lol

Hey thanks for tour top but disagreeing largly about mapping. Every league i get my atlas done on 2nd day of the league and for the next week selling these sweet red maps 10-18c and making my living only by this (chars worths 30-40ex with just casual gameplay). Seems like you underestimate how easy, no investment, accessable and STEADY this way is.
quick maths, on the 2nd day you are running t15 (8-10c) couple of scarabs/sacrifices (3-5c) it will take you around 2mins to complete the map, meanwhile progressing your guards, getting master missions, gem xp,sometimes overdrops (never relaying on it though). In the end of these 2mins you usually get 2-5 red maps which already cover your money and in 90% of the time youll make quite some profit already here, and then you have currency drops.encounters.masters etc
That said iam not the most efficient player and got pretty lazy gamestyle and for ppl like me and iam sure that iam not the only one its really nice way of playing the game and still make quite some money
