who the fuck uses super glue? you should be using a thin piece of adheasive to hold down the camera and back panel, thats my opinion

You shouldnt expect better when you go into a random shop they would do it like this or worse. Other than glueing the camera he was pretty patient and used the right tools. If you think this is impatience dont watch surgery videos.

This is the worst repair job I have ever seen in my life done on a phone, you’re not patient and completely damaged the interior of her device. Not to mention the OIS of the camera which was spot welded onto the frame.
This repair job should have taken over an hour just to remove the adhesive holding the glass to the main frame.
Cheap skates destroying people’s expensive devices.

Yes this is how exactly you do it although you can avoid having to take the camera housing off these days by buying a 'Big Hole' back glass panel. Apple's quote for the replacement is between USD 300-500. Your costs are 1.Glass panel USD 7 2.Glue USD 3, 3.Your time USD 100 per hour, and you'll take not more than half an hour. Total cost USD 60 (provided you're a USD100 per hour type person. Your anti-static gloves, lead and pads, air blower and high tech aids? Shove them where they belong as they haven't made their way to rural African and Asian villages. Now, it's time to give him some credit me thinks? Well done for sharing your video mate!

This is why I'm scared to go to Repair shops like this, it's so impatient and rough. I'd rather go to the Apple Store, or carefully do it myself. These repair centres do NOT care about your phone when you're not there, so they'll be rough as they want.

The glue that was spread around the modules most definitely glued the lenses.
True, you can't use a liquid glue around moving parts. I was surprised to see that any liquid glue was used at all. Was cringing the whole time through this video. Please take better care of people's devices.

100% camera focus wont work lol, and glass been changed before, on original housing it not coming off that easy ! it brakes im tiny pieces. not big chunks like on this video..

IPS67 has been lost since original broken glass. Only Apple can replace it and the phone still being IPS67. You need some kind of weird pressure machines to guarantee the sealing of the phone and the water resistance.@@odder5154

WHAT THE HELL why did u take out the camera thats not how u supposed to do that omg also dont put glue to the edge put more in centre and use d7000 and turn off ur phone ive been repairing iphones for almost 3 yrs but never saw this horrible repair wind will totally blow ur camera lenses as they are not glued properly making it impossible to take photos in wind omg idk what to say just dont do it anymore

All and well commenters saying that don’t let a third party repair shop anywhere near the phone, but unfortunately that is seemingly the only viable option, but to take the risk of said shops making the issue worse through incompetence because, £556.40 for Apple to repair the cracked back glass?! Fucking unacceptable, considering the used value of the X has plummeted to the point where you could buy a fully working with no damage 64gb example on eBay starting from £600ish. People wonder why the phone flopped sales wise.

I RUN MOBILE PHONE REPAIR SHOPS, THIS ACTUALLY A JOB OF OVER 1HR, ITS AMAZING THE GUY DID UNDER 10 MINS, I THINK THE WHOLE IDEAS WAS HOW QUICK IT CAN B DONE, THE TIMING ALSO DEPENDS HOW WAS THE BACK CRACKED, ITS A SINGLE CRACK OR ITS SHATTERED, IF ITS SHATTERED THEN IT TAKES A LOT LONGER, ALSO FOR ANY FIRST TIME OPENERS THERE IS A VERY GOOD CHANCE TO DAMAGE THE CAMERA, SO WE SUGGEST TO REMOVE THE CAMERA FIRST BEFORE OPENING THE CAMERA LENSE, MOST OF US REPAIR SHOP WE JUST REPLACE THE WHOLE BACK FRAME, ITS MUCH EASIER...BUT NOT THE BEST PARTS .... IF MINE WAS BROKEN, I WOULD RATHER USE A CASE TO HIDE THE CRACK....
