it's just a springloaded centerpunch. You press down on it, compressing a spring inside, then once it's reached a certain point, the spring releases striking the pointy bit. This is supposed to create a dimple in material you want to drill through so you can center your drill bit. As shown in the video, you can also use it to break glass.

@@khizershareef5076 Amazon!!!they have the complete kit , btw after I replaced it myself I traded it in for an iPhone 13 pro to T-Mobile and they accepted it
@@ricardoflores5711 you got a link? I recently bought 12 pro used and dropped it (it had a otterbox case on). It cracked all the glass but didn't shatter so its all internal cracks ( I can't even feel the cracks from outside ). However, I am heartbroken the warranty ended and apple wants 549$. I am so sad. If I fix it by myself I think it'll lose the waterproof ability.
@@khizershareef5076 iPhones aren’t waterproof but if your worrying about the water resistance rating dropping I would suggest getting a Lifeproof case !!!!

I really have to ask this. I plugged my ipad air 4 and left it to charge. After almost 2 hours, it still showed the same charge from when I left it. When I tried changing sockets, it did not work. I restarted it and it worked just fine again. Do I have to contact apple about this or maybe it was just the ipad crashing down or smthng? Im really worried cause I just got it last month

Does your LIDAR work after this? I bought a replacement glass and when I put it on the LIDAR doesn't work without it it works normally.
You should invest in a laser to get the glue off ... the smartphones is pretty scratched from those metal spungers
That laser is probably thousands of dollars, would be too expensive.
its only scratched under the glas which you cant see once the new one is on
Laser = more risk, dirtier job, you can easily damage the metal parts, and bootloop issues are associated with laser back glass as well.
Te easiest and more reliable way is definitely controlled heat. Except on the iphone 8/8p/xr and 11. Those are nearly impossible with heat unless you fully disassemble the phone.
@@edobosho People that are untrained in using the laser machine of course will cause damage, laser is more efficient and safer than heating the device consistently especially in this case where he doesn't remove any components such as the battery or logic board.

If Apple makes a car, and the bumper breaks, Apple won’t make replacement bumpers... they willl make the entire car body one piece and be like.... get a new car for 200,000 dollars.... if you have AppleCare+ then pay only 170,000 dollars for your replacement.

I was expecting the black film on the back of new glass to be the actual glue that you heat again with a gun and it just sticks, no? What kind of glue is that and is it safe to just spill it over the back like that? What about if it needs a glass change again?
