      I realize that you have many subscribers so i hope you don't mind my question. I was wondering is the bushnell AR 2-7 if it is the rimfire scope or scope for the 223? Also if the AR 3-9 might be a good choice as well. I think the 2-7 might be discontinued.

    Haven't had a chance to test if it holds zero, but mounts just fine and has nice clear glass. Centered vertically true to a plumb line with the crosshairs which is always a plus!It's a great th-cam.com/users/postUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope. There's no parallax adjustment or focus ring, so may be limited to 3-7x, have to see how it is on the range. Also be aware that the rings are "look through" so you can still use irons, but they are really tall if you only intend to use the optics. On a 22LR no biggie since I'm not shooting competitions or worried about a hard cheek press. Will boresight and range test, if all goes well, I'll leave it at that!

    Your videos are great thank you. I served thirty years in the United States Army almost twenty in the Ranger regiment and ten where ever I was needed I retired in 2010.. However I can't hunt anymore because of wounds sustained while deployed. I never thought I'd have a pellet rifle. I was given one as a gift. A Hatsan striker in.22 then I purchased another striker in .25 caliber. Finally I purchased the Hatsan 125 sniper in .25 caliber also. All of them are springers.. I just put a Hammers 3-9X40 AO.. So far so good. I'm hooked on these pellet rifles. I have a collection of firearms.. The pellet rifles are great for improving markmanship and training or teaching someone how to shoot. I usually fire my rifles fiirsr. Then shoot the pellet rifles for a hour or so. Milestone time and cheap to shoot Keep up the good work great video's thanks.

    I know this will be an unpopular opinion but I just want to share my experience with cvlife. After hearing their raves from a guy I have a lot of respect for, Kenny kormendy,(although you're still my fav, Joe) I rolled the dice on one. I paid about $60 for a 4-16 "tactical" model and mounted it on my wicked recoiling spring piston hatsan 125. And at first I was honestly surprised that it was even usable for that price. But now after about 1000 shots I'm amazed it's not only still usable but still holds zero and tracks repeatably. If you have $100 to spend on a hawke, definitely go that route. But if you need glass for half that, I'd definitely buy another one of these. Obviously at their price point, qc is a crap shoot but my gamble paid off, well enough that I'd roll the dice on them again.

      Edward, It's nice to hear that you had good luck with your scope too! I've also had Great luck with my CVLife scope..
      I grabbed the 2.5-10x40 model w/ the built in red laser pointer on Amazon, just to swap around on different rifles..
      I figured it'd be okay for short distances, but didn't expect much for the price paid.. Well, I was absolutely blown away.
      The optics were surprisingly clear, great cross hairs, illumination, and the laser dialed in and stayed put..
      That scope has been on 4 PCPs and 2 Ruger .22s now, and has worked flawlessly on all of them [out to 100 yards]
      It was even used when two squirrels were taken out.. both @ 30 yards, 1 through the eye, and 1 through the neck [running]
      That said, I'd have no problem recommending these things too!

    I cannot believe the MTC Viper Connect 3-12x32mm isn’t talked about more. That scope is revolutionary in its field of view. I cannot believe it doesn’t get more praise it’s got good glass and also has a different kind of illumination dial that lets you set the illumination level separate from the on and off switch most are the same dial. To me it’s a perfect airgun scope unless you need higher magnification for target shooting. Maybe it’s because it needs to be mounted differently because of its design I don’t know but I have two of them and love them.

    • @scottsalber1066
      @scottsalber1066 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You’ve got to! When they first came out there was a ton of hype on them people were raving about them but now you don’t hear anything. I know they are several years old now since they first came out but they are still unlike any other scope out there. I think a lot of people that shoot pcp pellet guns just target shoot and don’t actually hunt hell same thing with centerfire rifles. That’s why there has been a massive push for scope companies to sell scopes designed for the range and not really hunting. The Viper Connect is a hunting scope it has a max of 12 power magnification not 100 and has scope caps not exposed turrets. It’s only downside is it gets a little dark in the early morning/evening because it’s only a 32mm but I don’t shoot at those hours and if I did it has an illuminated reticle so it’s no problem.

Just bought a 2nd Marauder (.177, regulated, picatinny, lw barrel) to punch holes in paper at 20-40 yards chasing accuracy. Can you recommend a scope? Crossman suggested a Centerpoint 4-16 x 40 but it probably is not an upgrade to my Bushnell Legend. You have many good options in this video but I feel I prefer the "~15" magnification. Dont mind spending on the high end if you feel it is worth it. Thanks a lot. I'm getting back in to the game after 8 years! I'm looking for a first focal plane compact scope for my Artemis PP750.
    I considered the UTG Bug buster 3-9x32 scope. The UTG it has some controversy that the glass is not very good in terms of clarity and it's not really good past 100 yds on top of that it's quite pricey.
    You seem to like the Hawke Vantage 2-7x32 AO PX 1" Mil Dot. Do you think the scope would be a good choice for the PP750 and can you get it with a quick release like the UTG. Great Channel by the way.

As for a scope I bought a discovery 5-20×50 scope in SFP but now seeing FFP scopes out there did I make the right choice. I will be using it to hunt and pest from 5 yards to probably 50 yards. With the SFP if I use all different magnification settings while hunting 50 yards and under will my shots be that for off?

    • @Beesa10
      @Beesa10 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Powerful gas-spring guns are known for doing this, even to good quality scopes. Look for one which is approved to use with springers and has a good warranty, the SWFA SS line of scopes seem to be very rugged. My honest advice would be spend the money on a smooth shooting little HW30/Beeman R7 spring gun with iron sights instead. You can enjoy practicing with iron sights while saving up for a quality light weight scope and when you fit the scope it will be far less likely to break.

    Weaver Tactical 3-15x50 FFP has a minimal parallax of 25 yards, no? I can't seem to find that critical piece of info on their web site or catalog.
    I was very close at picking up a SWFA 3-15 The reticle is really useful for holdover, and I have found that 3-15 or 4-16 ideal zoom range for the pesting I do. The deal breaker for me was the need for an illuminated reticle for the action at dawn and dusk. The logical option would be SWFA SS HD 5-20x50 but that is in a different price class entirely.
