Have seen all kinds of grips on YT, this one always stuck out to me when I’d see it. Had a round w a slow group in front of me and no one behind, said ph*ck it and practiced on the green while waiting and ended up loving it. Stopped coming up way short, stopped blowing by the hole trying to compensate. Really evened out my pace, was a 2 putting machine the rest of the day. Really helped with the uneasiness of certain 3-4ft putts. Felt so much easier to keep the putter face on my line. Great videos, thanks a bunch

Sounds like we have another convert to the ’Claw’!
      I found the same benefits.
Great to hear it’s working for you.
      Thanks for sharing.

I turned 74 and had the yips with conventional grip. Went to the claw. Yips gone and making more putts with ease. Improved hdcp by 3 strokes in one year.

Best explanation I’ve ever seen as to why the claw and how to do the claw! Thanks, mate. Jack Thompson in yip-free Miami!!!

Thanks once again Glen for another great video. I use the conventional putter grip, always have, and feel very confident with it. Putting is the strongest part of my game.
    Cheers

Thanks Glen, I’ll try this as my putting isn’t consistent and this may correct things

I HAD TO GO TO THIS GRIP. I was an absolute mess with my putting yips to the point of embarrassment.
    Great explanation here.
I’m not sure if it’s a matter of my physical build, but this grip and set up feels natural and effortless for me.
My putts are straight, I hit through the ball, and my hands are very quiet.

I saw a video recently of Mark O’Meara talking about his claw grip and looked to me, that he had quite a lot of pressure in the fingers of his right hand.

That’s interesting. I’ve found my best putting results from employing a light grip but everyone is different. The key is to find what works best for you. Cheers, Glen

Thanks Coach. You always look super comfy with the Claw 👍. A year since our virtual putting lesson during Covid19 and I feel really comfortable. Whilst I'm not a Claw Man, my start lines and speed control are MUCH better 😁👍.
In late Nov20 we had our first swing lesson and I also changed balls. I've gone from a 3.0 to a 1.4.... it wasn't due to the ball change!! 👍 Thanks for you're great insight and eagle eyes - looking forward to our next lesson Pro 😁😎

Thanks Glen ..Ive been using the claw grip consistently over the last 2 years ..works for me ( control and less bottom hand interference) but I seem to come in short of the hole on longer puts ..Guess I need to get a little more aggressive on the longer putts ..

Hi Farhad, leaving long putts short is a common issue for golfers, but it’s not because of your claw grip! Check out: Myth No.4 - Accelerate Through Putts - th-cam.com/video/wSWC3_xv8Vc/w-d-xo.html - Thank you for watching, Glen

Tried it today for the first time in comp, i agree short putts were great, longer putts keep coming up short, but they were right line, very encouraging just need practice with it

The claw seems to hold the face on you're line rather than traditional and it traveling inside

What about a lefty who golfs right-handed?

Thank you for your question James. Same principles apply. Putting isn’t dominated by one side, it’s a shoulder rocking motion.
