it is actually not Jose Mari Chan chilling, it is actually a different person, he is Louie Ocampo, a well-known composer in the Philippines.
The similarities are there but the man you saw is Louie Ocampo. He is Martin Nievera's all time music director/arranger/composer when Martin started tv shows in 1982, and even now for his concerts. He also composed "Tell me" by Joey Albert, which you've reacted to.
You need to see Pauline Agupitan's version of Unchained Melody in TNT.. it is a must!

To tap on the topic of relearning another skill set to be able to reach high notes, Regine mentioned it in an interview that even at her age she continuously gets trained by a vocal coach because her voice has changed esp at her age and after she gave birth. She said that she had to unlearn all that she learned and learn new ones and relearn some.
I realized then that it's always about how badly you want to achieve something and to continuously improve that's really important. And, I think it's the same in all types of industry.
That's Louie Ocampo, not Jose Mari Chan. He is one of the great OPM composers. He also worked with Joey Albert back in the 80s. . but Jose Mari Chan is a great composer too.

I really love watching TNT....its a really hard singing competition..coz its not only a competition of a day for the winner BUT they need to come back the next day to defend its title...until the best of that day will conquer the Golden microphone 🎤...to be able to move to semi final i guess they need to defend the title 5 or 6 times(not sure)then later all semi finalist compete again for consecutive days until the best one wins⭐⭐⭐🎶🤗😍...thanx wale and efra

This video does not include 1-male contestant of Showtime's TNT singing contest who can sing very high notes. He won for a few days but eventually lost.Maybe d judges felt that he can't sing low-range songs. He sang "Rock" genre-songs. Even d host 'Vice Ganda" commented about his capability of hitting very high-notes of rock-songs. I forgot his name.
They all set aside the longevity, they must give their all at this moment, they've got to win it longevity later.

Did you know that the Philippines is basically located at the Pacific RING OF FIRE? where it is archipelagically situated in the western part of Pacific ocean. Now here's the catch - Ring of Fire, ring is shaped like a belt, therefore, filipino singers are belters. And then fire, filipinos when they sing is a sure fire hit.
