Monster deepwater unstoppable fish on the Jig!

  • We decided to head wide and explore some new water for me and Soli. We go deep jigging to over 130m, hooking dome amazing fish. Then we come back in jigging a wreck in about 60m hooking some big fish.
Deep jigging is fun and a bit of hard work, we went out in excess of 250m but didn't have enough line to get the jigs to the bottom.
This channel is about slow jigging metal jigs for big red emperors in places like Yeppoon through to Giant Trevally GT on topwater lures on the Great Barrier Reef. My channel is all about teaching tips and techniques to help you catch more fish. Mixed in will be some snapper fishing techniques and lure fishing tips for estuary fishing. From my years of tournament fishing, I have learned to pay attention to detail, and the small things make a difference in catching a couple of fish or a lot of fish.

      Hi Dean,
      Hi everyone.
I would like to ask you all for a favour ,
I, like all of you thoroughly enjoy all of Dean's excellent videos, whether it's, Barra, Murray Cod, Estuary Perch, Australian Bass, Saratoga, or all of the awesome species of the Blue Water.
He goes out of his way, spending long days, sleepless nights, or barely any sleep at all to fish non-stop as much as possible to get enough footage, to put together a fishing clip that he hopes will entertain us, and give us the desire to go fishing to enjoy ourselves and have fun and make memories.
But the fishing is only part of what he must do.
Fishing is only one part of it, there is also all of the long-distance driving, on the blacktop and on the ocean, in dams, creeks, and river systems.
Great video clips don't just happen, especially when you consider the countless hours of fishing he must do to get that bite, to get that strike, to set the hooks and boat that catch.
Then also add into that the number of hours, days even that he would go fishless or catch fish too small to warrant videoing.
Even though Dean is an extremely talented angler and very methodical in his approach to his fishing, he is in no way immune to striking the dreaded do-nut like we all are.
This is very comforting to me, at least knowing that the best of us have times like this also.
Along with watching Dean's fishing video content,
I would like to ask others within the Dean Silvester followers, subscribed viewers, and members of his FRESHWATER and SALTWATER communities, how many of you are aware and have watched all of the valuable informative videos Dean has released and unselfishly shared.
These videos have a lot of extremely helpful information in them and cover all sorts of topics, from, how to use certain lures, to how to fish the moon phases when on a freshwater impoundment when chasing Barra, Knot tying with split rings or the lures toe point, the list goes on.
In one of his videos, he even brings out an old notepad where he has documented everything to do with that fishing session, Whether it is day or night, time, tide activity, moon phase, water temperature, you name it, it is pretty much going to be in there.
All of these details to calculate patterns into the fishes' lives and feeding activities.
I just wanted to make you all aware, that when you are on TH-cam and you don't see anything of interest, simply type
DEAN SILVESTER in the SEARCH BAR and go back through the large collection of his videos.
Watch some of his early videos and his educational ones also.
These just may have that tip you need to change your game and make your catch rate increase.
I guarantee you will learn or see something you didn't know.
Lastly, i shall end this monster post by asking you all to do one simple favour for DEAN.I would like you all to ask your friends who like or love fishing to watch a video of Dean's and to Like and SUBSCRIBE to DEAN's Channels, remembering he has 2 now.
      DEAN SILVESTER FRESHWATER
      DEAN SILVESTER SALTWATER.
If we can all put in together and even just get one friend each to subscribe and like his Channel and videos, we can give him something for a change.
We have a chance of taking him from 13.3 K SUBSCRIBERS to 26 600 subscribers.
      How awesome would that be?
If you can get more than one to subscribe that would be outstanding.
So please help me GIVE something back to DEAN that he really does deserve.
Sorry for the extreme post folks, but DEAN really is worth it.
      Kind regards to all,
      Dave.

Great video 👍. New sub. I think you guys should invest in some jig casts and make your own jigs, they'll pay off in the long run. They have for me since I have to fish in sharky waters and getting cut off with expensive jigs is heartbreaking.
My dad usually just buys cheap Chinese knockoff jigs that comes half price or even cheaper in bulk but works just the same.

    • @SilvestersSaltwaterFishing
      @SilvestersSaltwaterFishing  ปีที่แล้ว

Thanks for the sub! Good idea, i know you can get some from some websites if you buy them by the 100 or so which will definitely be much cheaper. Hooks are the only thing you can't really compromise on.

    • @shyy5439
      @shyy5439 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@SilvestersSaltwaterFishing oh yes that's true. I usually rig up my own assist hooks with BKK hooks and a good brand of Kevlar assist line, brand depends on who you ask really, but it's time consuming and a tedious process sadly. Especially while fishing with many jigs. Buying would be the only option, or finding a local angler who makes them and sell them for cheaper.
I've recently found someone who does cheap assist rigs (15-20 USD for 5-10 converted from MVR) and they are amazing.
