  • Ancient Spanish Monastery in Miami, Florida (4K UltraHD) walk tour. Construction of the Monastery of St. Bernard de Clairvaux has begun in the year 1133 AD in Sacramenia, near Segovia in northern Spain. Completed eight years later in 1141, the Monastery was dedicated to the Blessed Mother. Cistercian monks occupied the Monastery for nearly 700 years. After a social revolution in the 1830s, the Monastery’s Cloisters were seized, sold, and converted into a granary and stable.
In 1925, William Randolph Hearst purchased the Cloisters and the Monastery's outbuildings. The structures were dismantled stone by stone, bound with protective hay, packed in more than 11,000 wooden crates, numbered for identification and shipped to the United States.
It took 19 months and the equivalent of nearly $20 million dollars (in today’s currency) to put the Monastery back together. In 1953 Time magazine called it the biggest jigsaw puzzle in history.

The monastery feels completely like home, but instead of being in a forest or a plain, it's in a tropical(ish) space. So cool.

The Ancient Spanish Monastery is the oldest building in the Western Hemisphere! William Randolph Hearst bought it and had it shipped to the US so he could use it as a pool house at his California mansion, but GOD had other plans! When US Customs burned the hay that was protecting the stones, they also accidentally burned the instructions on how to reassemble it! That's why Hearst considered the 11,000 crates of stones useless and just let Customs keep it.
The site of the ASM in North Miami Beach was chosen because it's right next to the railroad track so the very heavy crates could be unloaded there and not have to be moved to another site. The trains go alongside US 1 and West Dixie Highway which would be convenient for tourists.
The Knights Templar are referred to in the video in the Visitor's Center, but they don't explain that Bernard of Clairvaux was a famous priest who was thought of as second only to the pope. He was a prolific Christian writer who referred to Mary Magdalen alot and he was the head of the Knights Templar who helped organize and send them to Jerusalem. There, from 1119-28, they excavated the Temple Mount and found important scrolls including one that was a marriage certificate between John the Baptist and Mary Magdalen, and that they had had a son John. And after Herod Antipas beheaded the Baptist, in the Hebrews' tradition of the day, the widow married the next-of-kin of her deceased husband. Jesus son of Joseph was the oldest 2nd cousin of John. The Wedding at Cana was between Jesus and Magdalen which is why he was responsible for the wine, but it wasn't her first marriage. Did Jesus marry Mary? Marry Mary?! Is this great secret to be found that easily?!
The Knights Templar also excavated the JesusFamilyTomb.com in East Talpiot and took Jesus' bones to The Vatican. They gained great favors from the Pope as 'hush money'.
The old bell in the tower above the entrance supposedly was taken from Haiti and it's kinda their 'Liberty Bell'! I'd like to hear from someone who knows more about that.
But the hippest thing about the Ancient Spanish Monastery is the Masonic secret of the two matching stain-glass windows in the chapel that nobody thinks twice about unless you know the GOD=7_4 Code. They each have 7 circles with 4 being read. This symbolizes the 7 Classical Planets of Moon, Mercury, Venus, Sun, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn - 4 of these can't be easily seen during the day with the naked-eye/4 don't cast shadows on Earth (Venus can). There are 4 lunar phases of roughly 7 days (~7.4 days) each. Lunar year + 7 day week + 4 days = solar year. Etc. See GOD704.wikia.com .
