I know, right? That happens with plenty of characters, especially when they're fighting Nu-13 or Hakumen. If you beat them, they just get back the hell up and screw you over with the power of canon.
To be honest, I've only played Calamity Trigger, so I'm not even really sure what or who Takamagahara and Amaterasu are. The former is the space Jenova in the video, right?
Pew Pyou Pjooh Takamagahara is a machine system that can rewind time to change a major event. "Space Jenova" is Takemikazuchi. Easy to misinterpret, admittedly.
hahah I'll try to fix this. BlazBlue in a nutshell, is ONE GIGANTIC time paradox. It happens in a loop, over and over again. UNTIL, events in the first game, BREAK THE "Wheel of Fate", (which is where the phrase comes from, "The Wheel of Fate is turning....REBEL" as in, rebel against fate). Ragna, ends up with the BlazeBlue (Azure Grimoire), which he stole from the NOL, he goes destroying all the "Cauldrons " which are controlled by the NOL. The Cauldrons are what they use to create the Ars Magus that is mentioned. Ergo, Ragna is simply at war with the NOL. Somewhere along the line, he ends up in Kagasuchi (spelling?), which is the 13th city), and Upon reaching it, he encounters a Murakumo Unit, V13, (side point. The names of these things are loosely based on Japanese Shinto Religion lore, Murakumo means "Heaven", and there are 13 of these "Heavenly units which are suppose to protect the "realm"). V13 however bares a startling resemblance to Saya, Ragna's sister who he thought was dead. This is where the CYCLE comes in. V13 grabs onto Ragna, and they both fall INTO the caldron there, and combination of her, Ragna, and grimoire, create "The Black Beast" , This is the "Calamity Trigger" that causes the calamity. Then, 6 Legendary Heroes (Hakumen, Terumi, Jubei, Nine, Platium the Trinity, and Valkenheim) appear, Kill the Black Beast, and conclusion RESETS the time line and the cycle begins again. HOWEVER, in CT, a break happens when Ragna ends being saved by Noel (who also looks like Saya), which means he never falls in the cauldron, and the black beast is never made (at least in this timeline). Which causes a SHIFT in the CONTINUUM.. (which is where the title of the 2nd game comes from). Stuff about Ragna gets revealed further into this game and 2nd though. First, Ragna was near death after being attacked by his brother Jin, after Jin came into contacted with the sword Yukaneisa (spelling?) it basically corrupts whoever holds it. Jin slices off Ragna's arm, leaving him for dead. He is "found" by Rachel, who is an immortal vampire. You can think of Rachel as an observer, with a godly status, so she can observe time as she wishes. For some reason, she felt bad for Ragna, so she partially turned him into a vampire to save his life. (This is why he has the two different color eyes) . The Bloodege comes from when Ragna eventually meets Jubei. Jubei takes it upon himself to Train Ragna to be a skilled warrior, and at some point, he gives Ragna a huge blade. He tells Ragna that the blade came from the "True Hero" who actually killed the black beast, and said this warrior was named "The Bloodedge" Thus Ragna took the name, presumably in inspiration from this Hero. (who could have possibly been an alternate reality version of himself) It's also worth talking about Ragna's brother, Jin. At some point in the original timeline, Jin comes into contact with a mysterious suit, called the "Susano'o" Unit. (side point, Susano'o is the name of a Japanese God, who defeated a legendary beast, named Orochi) This suit turns him into Hakumen. Because of the suits power however, Hakumen is unaffected by the time loop, which is how both him and Jin can exist. Terumi is essentially the embodiment of "Orochi", which is why his attacks are like that of a snake. Jubei is a beastmen, who the NOL tried to clone because of his strength. Taokaka, and all of the Cat people, are essentially incomplete cloned offspring of Jubei.
Ragna did not steal the Azure Grimoire from the NOL; it was buried beneath the Church and he took its power. Ragna is not a vampire; it was only in the first timeline (short story) Rachel bit him. Every other timeline she did not. Ragna has the red eye due to the Azure Grimoire eroding his right half, hence why it completely shut down around Celica before Kokonoe helped him out. Jin comes into contact with the Susano'o Unit after falling into the cauldron after Ragna, where he finds himself in the past and is taken in by the Alucard family. His body badly damaged and no longer equipped for combat, he is given a choice to either take the suit or remain in the castle -- to which he chooses the former.

I had this conversation with a friend last night after playing Central Fiction for the first time, not knowing what was going on. Then this video shows up hours later... dear lawd, I'm stuck in a time loop now, aren't I? Someone stab me please.
Here's CT lore in a nutshell: Ragna: Destroy NOL bases to prevent them from building another world ending weapon. Jin: Finds out that ragna is going to kagutsuchi so he defies orders and went after him. Noel: is tasked to bring jin back, but ended up saving ragna Tager: Act as kokonoe's right hand, mission is to retrieved hakumen from the boundary, recruit litchi, and find lambda 11 Litchi: Just there being a doctor, also saving the kaka children from being eaten by her bf (arakune) Arakune: Eating a bunch of children to get more powerful, and hunting down ragna because he has the blazblue Taokaka: ordered by the kaka head to defeat ragna and get the bounty, also to fight arakune. Bang: Being a comic relief, he's also hunting jin for vengeance since he killed his master. Fight ragna also because his a criminal. Carl: wants to kill ragna to get his blazblue and revive his sister Hakumen: muscle through kokonoe's control and went to fight ragna because his the black beast Nu 13: kill ragna and herself so that they can become the black beast Rachel: just watch, even if the events just happened a million times. True ending: They went through all these events, but this time noel went to the couldron to fight nu 13 instead of ragna. Noel then remembers that she is mu 12 (sword girl), and save ragna to prevent the time loop and accidentally observe yuki terumi (the main villain) to materialize in their world Yuki Terumi blows up kagutsuchi but rachel finally did something and use the tsukiomi unit to block the attack, then she became weak after that. (The end)
Blazblue story can be good if you start with Continuum Shift Extend and play Calamity Trigger: Reconstruction Forget everything from the original CT, it doesn't matter
The problem with Blazblue's story isn't that its "complex" or "too hard to understand". Its that its so damn convoluted and lacking in any kind of relatable theme to ground its story. The writers think that a plethora of sad backstories, wordy terminologies and long-winded exposition scenes are somehow a good substitute for good writing, character depth and development.
I mean, they have Ragna, who's actually a pretty damn good character with decent writing and development backing him up, and that has some relatability to him seeing as how he's often the one person with common sense in a world of clinically insane edgelords. But, like he can only carry the story so far.
Funnily enough, I remember hearing or reading that when BlazBlue was first being developed it was originally going to be an RPG, but was changed somewhere along the line into a fighting game.
Blazblue is such a great looking and fun to play fighting game but you start the story midway of the actual story with no real explanation. You guys are fucking funny and you explained it well too. Thank you! Arc Systems you guys make awesome games but you need to pull back on story complication!
I really liked the character interactions and relationships. No other fighting game has characters so connected. The problem is when that takes back seat to the miriad of made-up terms and weird nonsensical stuff. Men, I wish they made the story with just the characters to advance the plot.
「Quality」 And King of Fighters (they literally have their own shared Universe), and Street Fighter and Darkstalkers....in fact any good fighting game has good interactions

I know, right? That happens with plenty of characters, especially when they're fighting Nu-13 or Hakumen. If you beat them, they just get back the hell up and screw you over with the power of canon.
Technically all story modes are canon to some degree. Time loops and stuff.
To be honest, I've only played Calamity Trigger, so I'm not even really sure what or who Takamagahara and Amaterasu are. The former is the space Jenova in the video, right?
Eastyy Every time Naoto fights Es or Ragna in CF's story the same happens
Pew Pyou Pjooh Takamagahara is a machine system that can rewind time to change a major event. "Space Jenova" is Takemikazuchi. Easy to misinterpret, admittedly.
Time to watch these 4 videos AGAIN
Please do the other ones, I'm laughing so bad here
Really confused but I want the next!
hahah I'll try to fix this.
(who could have possibly been an alternate reality version of himself)
It's also worth talking about Ragna's brother, Jin.
12:35 to 12:42 had me laughing so hard
I love how Hazama isn't explained until the very very end
Hahahaha Oh wow
I was just watching fight matches BlazBlue when in recommend vídeos appears.
It made my day better, THE STORY AND "THE VIDEO EDITING" are hilarious accurate hahaha.
Best vídeo Of plot nutshell blazblue
Do more.... And you got yourself a sub. I love this
Damn, even recalling the recall of blazblue is hard
I had this conversation with a friend last night after playing Central Fiction for the first time, not knowing what was going on. Then this video shows up hours later... dear lawd, I'm stuck in a time loop now, aren't I? Someone stab me please.
Surprisingly, this makes a lot of sense. Can't wait for the CS version.
*eye twitches* makes sense.
This is the best thing I've ever seen ever
Now if you want to know how all this come about this entire game series it quite simple it all Yuuki Terumi fault pretty much .
Why? How? No one knows (but what a funny 'recap' this is).
Yeah, that really sums up Blazblue: Calamity Trigger.
Why do I just imagine with all these videos. Whoever isn't explaining is either on the verge of laughter or has a shit eating grin.
Here's CT lore in a nutshell:
Ragna: Destroy NOL bases to prevent them from building another world ending weapon.
Jin: Finds out that ragna is going to kagutsuchi so he defies orders and went after him.
Noel: is tasked to bring jin back, but ended up saving ragna
Tager: Act as kokonoe's right hand, mission is to retrieved hakumen from the boundary, recruit litchi, and find lambda 11
Litchi: Just there being a doctor, also saving the kaka children from being eaten by her bf (arakune)
Arakune: Eating a bunch of children to get more powerful, and hunting down ragna because he has the blazblue
Taokaka: ordered by the kaka head to defeat ragna and get the bounty, also to fight arakune.
Bang: Being a comic relief, he's also hunting jin for vengeance since he killed his master. Fight ragna also because his a criminal.
Carl: wants to kill ragna to get his blazblue and revive his sister
Hakumen: muscle through kokonoe's control and went to fight ragna because his the black beast
Nu 13: kill ragna and herself so that they can become the black beast
Rachel: just watch, even if the events just happened a million times.
True ending: They went through all these events, but this time noel went to the couldron to fight nu 13 instead of ragna.
Noel then remembers that she is mu 12 (sword girl), and save ragna to prevent the time loop and accidentally observe yuki terumi (the main villain) to materialize in their world
Yuki Terumi blows up kagutsuchi but rachel finally did something and use the tsukiomi unit to block the attack, then she became weak after that.
(The end)
Everyone just wants to have a go at Ragna jeez The guy can't catch a break, it's pretty much Ragna Vs the World
@@azurelight6932Have you seen how centralfiction ends?
The amount of detail you can remember the game makes the creator of the story deepen in shame
Well, i'm not the only one that think this is convoluted
1:06 I'm crying
Blazblue story can be good if you start with Continuum Shift Extend and play Calamity Trigger: Reconstruction
Forget everything from the original CT, it doesn't matter
I fucking forgot about the whole “looking at terumi brought him to existance”
LMAO you can hear him thinking
I wonder how this game story would of been if it's a RPG or Action RPG Game.
Funnily enough, I remember hearing or reading that when BlazBlue was first being developed it was originally going to be an RPG, but was changed somewhere along the line into a fighting game.
I enjoyed this keep going
Sees title, YOU MADMAN.
Blazblue is such a great looking and fun to play fighting game but you start the story midway of the actual story with no real explanation. You guys are fucking funny and you explained it well too. Thank you! Arc Systems you guys make awesome games but you need to pull back on story complication!
After reading a bit if Central Fiction and starting the Story Mode...
WHOA
Has anyone made a fanfic yet of Ragna and his THIRTEEN SISTERS ?
XD
Continuum shit next please, i know you want and you know we want
Iron Tager is the favorite for everybody!?
And we got taokaka who just wants the money for food.
Me:TAKE ALL MY MOENY
I really liked the character interactions and relationships. No other fighting game has characters so connected.
The problem is when that takes back seat to the miriad of made-up terms and weird nonsensical stuff. Men, I wish they made the story with just the characters to advance the plot.
「Quality」 GG maybe.
The extent of relationships in MK is the good guys and their sons, and the bad guys.
「Quality」 And King of Fighters (they literally have their own shared Universe), and Street Fighter and Darkstalkers....in fact any good fighting game has good interactions
GG have Ky and Dizzy married had a son .Sol and Ky epic fight .Ram loves burger than anything.ZatoxMillia .RamxSinxElphelt friendship.SolxAria are parents of Dizzy and SolxKy are son father in law. Venom in the end working as a dashing baker to save money for robo ky body. How is this not a character interact and development . Still better than BB 5 time
Nike_Aguaraguazu Persona 4 Arena has great connections
His name is Iron Tager and he's my favorite.
