Find your way to Trinidad to experience the authentic flavors and a bigger selection of dishes, those places in USA are good and can ease the 'tabanca' but still they miss the spot
Fun story about Fort Abercromby: It never saw conflict, however, it was destroyed by its own general after he saw many ships on the horizon. Thinking it was the enemy, he decided to burn down and destroy the fort and flee. However, it turned out to be the ships of his own army! Hope you enjoyed your stay in TT
@@kamkarter8821the carnival season is safe, the police keeps the country safe for those 3 days only so it is safe. I have travelled and driven in a few Caribbean islands and never have I had any problems of any sort, the two of you come across as great friends to all. Enjoy Trinidad 😎

Welcome to T&T 🇹🇹 Chris and Carol🤗. The Osmo looked really crisp at night👍.Just a bit on Trinidad's coastal history, beaches/bays tend to be murky during the heavy rainy season due to the orinoco river in Venezuela that washes up around Trinidad's coasts . in the dry season/cruise ship season nov-june) its a lot clearer and Tobago's waters are generally nicer and are not affected by it. nylon pool in Tobago is an awesome tour to check out
Trinidad was once connected to mainland Venezuela many many centuries ago. Separated and became an island. That's why the two countries share the same flora and fauna.
Hello, my favorite couple I have been to Trinidad n Tobago and there’s nothing different from traveling anywhere 👍🏽else in the world you take the precautions and don’t go anywhere that you’re not comfortable especially at night but I think it is exaggerated. Do enjoy the rest of your stay here and can’t wait to see your Tobago video. Great camera.
In Trinidad you have to ask for pepper in your roti to make it spicy. You can ask for light or heavy. They don't make it too spicy because they want everyone to enjoy.
Rainy season the sandflies are out, not bad with bug spray..Las Cuevas has Blue flag beach certification.. Tyrico (Tyricko) is Swahili word in origin means kingly or majestic.. Yea, we love spicy food😎👍🏾
Hey guys, thank you for visiting our lovely Trinidad and next Tobago. Just like any other country, there are good and bad areas. I am so glad that you are enjoying your visit and hope that you will help to show Trinidad & Tobago in a good and positive light. If you visited around one of the holidays, you would have seen a lot more people on the beaches as that is when they mostly frequent them. FYI! There are different types of Roti with the most popular being Dhal puri and paratha, and the level of spiciness depends on what you request. If you ask for slight or heavy pepper, then that is what you will get. The same for doubles. The sweet stuff you taste is most likely mango chutney or tamarind sauce. You can also add shredded cucumber which is usually also spicy. The bread you had with your bake and shark is called fried bake which is another of our specialties. You should visit next time around Christmas so that you can experience some of our wonderful traditional Christmas foods like black cake and punch de creme. You won't regret it. Then there is Carnival. Now that would be an amazing experience.

Thank you for visiting my lovely country 🇹🇹. Yes there is crime, as there is in countries, there areas you do not go, even for a local but it's more or less safe, no one bothers you. The sand flies are there because those beaches are literally backed by the mountains and forest vegetation, whilst Maracas has some distance from the vegetation. Welcome to my sweeet sweet Trinidad. The "bread" with your shark & fish sandwiches, is called fried bake. I'm born(in the south here called San Fernando). And even further south- in a small town called La Brea- is the world's largest source of asphalt(also called pitch or tar) used to pave roads worldwide. And our world famous music is calypso or kaiso & soca. Trinidad has invented the only new instrument of the 20 & 21st centuries. Thanks for visiting. God bless you & keep you safe🙏🏾➕️😍💕🙋🏽♀️🇹🇹
Trinidad is so cool, actually after watching a video about street food I realized that the food there is really delicious, thanks for covering this post ❤
They probably didn't give you trinidadian pepper sauce to make your Roti Spicy hot because they must have thought you all couldn't handle the heat. But you need to have it with pepper sauce or kuchela. Amchar/Anchar as well. Also, your Bake and shark was missing all the different sauces to go with it. Those condiments elevate the flavour tremendously. You need to tour Trinidad with a local who will take you to the best places, especially for food.
I didnt see any cucumber, or chutneys on the doubles! Its been a long time since I was there, but they would ask if you wanted slight, medium, or plenty peppa!
I must say, we appreciate y'all, you didn't just share your experience but you gave our history. Hope your total say was well spent and hope to see y'all again but little tip, you gotta check out the hikes and waterfalls. It's mesmerizing....
The green fruit you saw on the tree at the Fort looks like calabash. They make purses and bowls when hollowed out. Looks like the oval version. Also comes round. I miss 🇹🇹
Spicy /Pepper - You have to request the pepper and different condiment/ingredients for Roti and Doubles: Pepper: No Pepper, Slight Pepper, Medium, Heavy Pepper Doubles Sauces/ Chtuneys Roti - Anchar (Sweet/peppery curried green mango), Kuchella (shredded green sour fruit, preserved in oil pepper maslal) You need to ask what extras they have. Its the same with Shark and Bake - the condiments make alot of difference.

Welcome to Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago this week in great joy & peace to tours these amazing beaches, restaurants, shops, hotels, etc. in this great Caribbean country 2024❤❤❤
Went to represent Trinidad and Tobago at a UNDOC meeting. Met people
From all over Latin America. Got the chance to visit the Cathedral and the Courts etc. It was a very interesting experience in a well planned city
You made me homesick. Nect time you should go to the southern parts. We have a Pitch Lake in La Brea and other nice scenery to experience.
Welcome to my sweeet sweet Trinidad. The "bread" with your shark & fish sandwiches, is called fried bake. I'm born(in the south here called San
Fernando).
Welcome to my country guys, been watching for years now.
Thanks, loving it here!
Trinidad is so cool, actually after watching a video about street food I realized that the food there is really delicious, thanks for covering this post ❤
❤❤❤ my home land of Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 🎉🎉🎉 enjoy guys
Nice!
Thanks for visiting our country!
You guys finally came to where I live hope you enjoy it.
Daytime footage is crisper with new camera. Big difference in th dark!
I must say, we appreciate y'all, you didn't just share your experience but you gave our history. Hope your total say was well spent and hope to see y'all again but little tip, you gotta check out the hikes and waterfalls. It's mesmerizing....
As Ah Trini I’m So Proud 🇹🇹
Trini here born and raised hope you enjoy all the delicious food ❤❤❤
The green fruit you saw on the tree at the Fort looks like calabash. They make purses and bowls when hollowed out. Looks like the oval version. Also comes round. I miss 🇹🇹
Wow glad you are you guys in this part of the Caribbean. You will love todago. Sorry about the driving not all Trinidadian drive like that. ❤
Thanks for visiting us do enjoy 🇹🇹
We are loving it :)
Spicy /Pepper - You have to request the pepper and different condiment/ingredients for Roti and Doubles:
Pepper: No Pepper, Slight Pepper, Medium, Heavy Pepper
Doubles Sauces/ Chtuneys
Roti - Anchar (Sweet/peppery curried green mango), Kuchella (shredded green sour fruit, preserved in oil pepper maslal)
You need to ask what extras they have. Its the same with Shark and Bake - the condiments make alot of difference.
That green thing on the tree is called a calabash its used to make bolds and dippers
Whenever you come back to Trinidad please visit the south side ❤ Thank you for loving our country and culture. We would love for you to visit again
