please don't ever let your goverrnment build big, ugly hotels by the beaches.
when i visited your country and went to maracas beach, i asked my tour guide: "are you sure this is not a private beach?" i was shocked a public beach could look so beautiful and undercrowded.
even tho trinidad doesn't have white sand beaches, what it does have is the lack of endless beachfront hotels and endless, annoying tourists.
please TREASURE this. please protest if the government tries to change it. i can guarantee you the natives will regret it if you guys have to experience crowded, tourist-infested beaches like here in miami.

Have to find a niche., And take advantage of it. There’s money to be made in Tourism. The people need to tapped into it. Develop eco tourism.

I grew up in Brooklyn in the 80’s and spent my summer vacays in Trinidad and we love both!

Why more.? Do you know how many Hotels and Guests are in and around Port of Spain alone? Very many and they remain open for business because Trinidad which is an Industry driven nation attracts the business Tourists. Trinidad does not depend on the pleasure Tourism like other Caribbean countries. Tobago take care of that resource. Look at Maya he was here really to do his business and he is now cashing in on his efforts.
