    Why dont you sell complete machines? I looked at your store, i only see parts. Even if its not economically viable, maybe you should offer them at a higher price to make up for your time and hard work. Im sure some people who want the product but dont have the patience to put it together will be willing to pay extra for a pre-made

      We have tried on kickstarter to launch the prometheus but everyday we had people saying it was too expensive and stuff like that. Consumer generally looke at the price before looking at the product. Unfortunately if it’s too expensive for them they will compare with Chinese « equivalent » machine. They don’t care if it’s open source or other nice stuff. Generally…. That’s why we change our route a bit and put more energy into the community :). Full printer kits are not ready yet but pretty soon ! We work with sellers in the world to make the Prometheus kit available :D

    This is amazing! Is it also relative cheap to build vs an anycubic on sale for example? Because those come pre-assembled with tons of features for like 1k. I saw the frame kit for 310 dollars without shipping. Cost can add up really quick

      Indeed i don’t think it’s that expensive. We usually compare the price to a elegoo jupiter but with better screen, larger build volume, larger resolution and way more option and features 🤩

    Is it possible to convert my old normal printer cpb to a resin 3D printer cpb?

    • @thecontrappostoshop
      @thecontrappostoshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s possible yes but not necessarily easy. Our control board should be abble to fit any* msla printer. The « hard » part is to drive the LCD. Depending on the screen you may need to find a HDMI driver board for it. For the rest it should be straight forward:)

      @@thecontrappostoshop I really and truly wish I could afford your Prometheus pcb but I am in SA and just the price of customs alone makes a 3D printer more affordable and I can't afford a 3D printer aswell 😭

      Do you have any tips on reprogramming my old printer pcb to a resin 3D printer pcb?

      We are using a rp2040 microcontroller so it’s possible to make something with a raspberry pi pico :) … you can refer to the github for the pinout :)

    This looks like a neat project. I was thinking of getting a large 3D printer for printing organ pipes, and this one could be extended to print 4-5 ft tall prints, depending on the weight and patience! (weight & wait?) It took a while to find the link for the screen in the BOM on github...I suppose any monochrome screen with HDMI would work with a Pi 4. Now I know what to do for my next project....

      Yep any hdmi screen will do :) ! A member on discord is building his machine with double the height :o !
