I already knew how to make chic ganache but DID NOT KNOW you can beat it into a frosting. Its EXCELLENT, thankyou. This was the quickest/easiest ive ever made. FANTASTIC!!
Another good way to use it is to make truffles! Just put it into the refrigerator until it hardens and then scoop into little balls and cover with melted chocolate or cocoa powder! Delicious!
I doctored up a box cake mix and your chocolate buttercream frosting with the ganache and ganache covered strawberries and my Husband and our friends loved it-they thought I ordered it from a bakery!!thank you for sharing your recipes, sooo good and it was not too sweet either
I worked for Baskin Robbins for a while in 11th grade. We were taught to “cut” the scoop of ice cream in the dish with the scoop, putting a groove or dent in the middle of it. *Then* pour on your toppings. That groove holds some of your toppings ON your ice cream so it doesn’t all slide off into the bottom of your dish. I’ve done that ever since any time I am putting toppings like caramel or hot fudge on a Sunday. To keep the ice cream more scoop-able right out of the freezer, put the container in a freezer plastic bag. I think it helps it retain its moisture. All I know is that when I’ve stored ice cream this way, it’s been easier to scoop than when we didn’t.
It’s funny because I’ve been watching various chefs making chocolate ganache today and then here you are MAKING IT TOO!! Great recipe Natasha 👍… I’m going to make it myself 😁
Great recipe! I found that if you put your ice cream scoop in a big glass of cool water, shake the water off then scoop, it makes scooping hard ice cream easier
Happy Valentine's 💕 Day! Chocolate ganach is definitely perfect for this occasion! 👌 😮 I love to dip strawberries into them. The ganach is a multi-purpose sauce. Also, Natasha, you look ritzy in this Valentine's wear. I enjoy your other Valentine's Day recipes video since they make me want to have them at parties. Have a great night, Natasha, and see you tomorrow morning!
As a chocoholic, & ice cream'oholic, I am drooling... I make the same ganache, (put it on cheesecake - MMMMMM good!) but I never thought to whip it up as frosting! WOW. Thanks.
Your videos are the most entertaining cooking creations that make us want to give them a try. I never imagined ganache was as simple to make as you have shared. Thank you
While the hot cream is sitting in the bowl I wrap a tea towel around the bowl to keep the heat in and another over the clingfilm top. I also like to add half a teaspoon of instant coffee granules sprinkled over the chocolate, to boost the chocolate flavour.
Hi Natasha. Before using your scoop, put it in a small bowl of hot water for a few seconds then scoop your ice cream and continue soaking in hot water and scooping until you have the amount you want. You will find it softens the ice cream. I do this anytime my ice cream is hard. Btw, I eat the same ice cream! Tastes good.
Used two of your recipes for my cake : one is this one and the other is 4 ingredient sponge cake that was posted 8yrs ago. Both turned out to be wins ! 🎉
I so enjoy watching you share your love for cooking/baking and sharing it with others. Sharkey showed up at the beginning :). Can't wait to try the ganache.
Chocolate ganache is great for everything. Now, speaking of the ease of handling ice cream, here is a tip: Fill a small bowl with tepid water and allow your ice cream scoop to rest in it for a few minutes. When around body temperature, the scoop will glide through the ice cream. If indulging in multiple scoops of ice cream, just briefly dip the ice cream scoop back in the water, then shake to remove excess water before scooping out of the ice cream tub. :) One of my favorite uses for this ganache is baking a Parker Omni House Boston Creme Pie.
🙂👍Scrumptious!🙂🙂This recipe is simply fantastic.👍The use of ingredients is superb and the final dish came out perfect and absolutely delightful.Big like 👍Thanks for Sharing amazing and incredible traditional recipe.🙂Stay blessed and keep Sharing your magically flavourful recipes! 🙂👍Enjoy amazingly blessed week 🙂Stay happy and well protected. 🙂
Looks great! What do you think about adding some Kerrygold butter when whipping up the frosting? I love buttery frosting and that fatty flavor. 😁 Thanks Terry
Hi Natasha, I love your recipes. It always gives me perfect results. I have a question about chocolate ganache: will it become hard once we decorate and refrigerate the cake? Or it will be liquidy after refrigerating.
The shark 🦈 comes out at the bottom of the screen (if you blink you'll miss it) when you grab the piping bag when you are going to put the chocolate ganache in it!! Love the recipe!! For sure im going to make it!!
Can yoi give us an idea of what to look for (brand, etc?) regarding using a Heavy Whipping Cream with 36% milk fat? I don't see anything regarding that on my containers of HWC...
As long as it says “heavy” whipping cream, it should have a fat content of atleast 36% You’ll want to avoid the containers that say just “whipping cream” on them. Those are lighter creams and won’t whip as stiff.
I had to rewatch and rewind but around 5:40 or 5:41 sharky danced across in front of camera. I didn't see the first time....that ganache was mesmerizing me 😂
👍👍 Love your videos! I just got hooked on your crazy antics last week. However, the recipe measurements in this video are really difficult to understand. And the measurements on the video screen aren't correct either. After a half hour of trying to figure it out (most answers on the internet were wrong too) I have decided to try 1 1/3C of chips (an 8oz weight measurement), and 1C of cream (a liquid 8oz measurement). But thanks for all the great videos!! PS: I just made the Ganache. Perfect! 👍👍
Good Morning Natasha Hope all is well, have I tried it? No not yet, I do use Baileys in other treats at Christmas. I am going to try, it may take a couple attempts, but I don’t think my neighbours will mind when I give them cupcakes with this special flavoured topping. Happy days to you and your family, really enjoy seeing your children help doing a taste test in front of the camera with you, so much fun. Regards @@Natashaskitchen

Perfect for Valentine’s Day! Never thought to use ganache on strawberries. What a great idea! Thank you!

I use almost a 1 to 1 ratio but I use the frosting for in between the layers and then I pour the ganache over it.
If we were neighbors, I would be there helping and tasting this… as you just made me go to the market for these ingredients and try this recipe. ❤

Yes :)

Hi Natasha, I love your recipes. It always gives me perfect results. I have a question about chocolate ganache: will it become hard once we decorate and refrigerate the cake? Or it will be liquidy after refrigerating.
Hi Sitara! It becomes thicker like a fudge frosting but it doesn’t harden

You can keep ice cream in a plastic bag, while it's in it's container, that will keep the ice cream fresh in the freezer ❤😊🎉
I been wondering if you can do raspberries instead of strawberries?
I haven’t tested that but I think that’s fine

I do not. I’m sorry. I don’t have one for that size pan.
@@Natashaskitchen ok do you think if i half the recipe it should be ok?
Add a little extra flavor by adding a small amount of Baileys Liquor, then cover the vanilla ice-cream.

How much heavy cream do you use? One pint?

They are quite different since this one is more like a fudge
